Karen's beautiful voice on radio 📻 would grab my attention when i was a boy I'm 63yrs old , I still haven't heard beautiful voice that compares to Karen Carpenter's ❤
It's 2024. It's hard to believe she left us 41 years ago. I'm still admiring her and listening to her beautiful voice today. The greatest, naturally gifted voice of all time. The sound that resonates with our souls. RIP
Hard to believe so many years ago..one of those moments where you can remember where you were when we heard it on the radio..what a beautifully talented person..just loved their music ..still do..had so much meaning to life .
What a truly beautiful voice she had. I believe that God brought her music into my life as I too suffered from a deadly eating disorder. Because of her, I got the treatment I needed and my life saved. Thank you Karen...you still inspire me everyday!!!!!!!
And suddenly, the world was introduced to and learned about anorexia nervosa. A sad tragedy, indeed. Glad you were astute enough to gain from such a loss as Karen. I became a fitness fanatic and dietary consultant because of that tragedy; perhaps saving my life as well. Stay strong.
Anyone still listen to her music today 2024 !!🥰🙌 She sang so beautifully and her voice just flows with ease out of her . Just fantastic !! ❤ ❤ RIP KAREN CARPENTER ❤😔🙏
She was a gift from God, and she brought us joy. I still listen to her to this day. I just could have see her sing in person Rip karen you will never be forgotten
grew up in san francisco, this song reflects the great time it was back in the day-mellow--more respect and love back then. california dreamin was still alive. all gone now. its sad-we all lose!
I'm African American it doesn't matter I just love Karen Carpenter I miss her and I still hear music today God rest his soul and God bless her brother Richard where he is
One in a million voice. Karen Carpenter stood out in a crowd of fantastic musicians of her era, just like that special diamond that sparkles brighter than others. RIP .
Today is Monday and its raining here in cali what a perfect song for a day like this , and yes She had the perfect voice and song choices miss her dearly
When i was a Baby, my Father plays Carpenters songs to make me fall asleep, and now im 27 years old and had a 1month old Beautiful Daughter. i played Carpenters songs also to make her fall asleep and it works all the time 💖
Met Karen at our dentist office in Oct 1976! What a thrill i was so excited and nervous but enjoyed every second.....she was so sweet to me and kind to this 24 year old crazy fan!!! So pretty in person.....gorgeous A moment or two in time that i will remember the rest of my life: My 2 friends met Karen a few times while working at Gemco there in Downey and met the entire family!
In November 1978 we were at Long Beach State University to see Richard and Karen perform and this is the 3rd time we saw them and it would end up being their last time to perform in public, sadly! However they performed Merry Christmas Darling which I was excited to see them perform my favorite Christmas song!!!! I was on cloud 9 that evening so excited and thrilled to watch them perform again!! An evening to remember!
"good" singer!!!! The biggest understatement in the history of statements!!! Karen Carpenter was without question one of the finest female singers in history!!!
This lady was definitely a beautiful person inside and out. She sure had the voice of an angel and a very warm heart. It is so sad that she passed away at such a young age. I think that her music and memories will live on forever. She is dearly loved and sadly missed
Thanks for sharing these great memories of 2 of the greatest performers of my generation and God bless Karen Carpenter and Rice Carpenter I'm certain that he misses his beloved sister.
The tone of a harmonica represents the heart of the person playing it. The listener also listens to the wonderful tones and tunes in with their heart. I also practiced the harmonica a lot when I was young. I didn't make much progress. My father was very good and played my favorite songs. Once my father hears music, he immediately remembers how to play it. This harmonica brought back the nostalgia. thank you.
What a melodic voice Karen had. It portrayed hurt, hope, and resolution all at the same time. Doubtful we'll find thi sort of talent again any time soon.
The entire sound was perfect. Yes, she was the star of it, but he was as well in the studio. When the sax break comes in, it just pushes it up and she is every match for it with the vocal that cries out blues and blahs, really from the depths. An amazing artist - what a talent. Still one of my top ten concerts in the spring of 1974.
What great phrasing. What a great voice. And it is so weird.. the poignancy in her voice, which always sounded genuine now comes through time as a direct connection to her heart.
What makes for a good voice? I know this voice is beautiful, I can’t quite explain why. The enunciation, the measured step; one by one. I don’t know, but her voice makes me happy.
Lots of memories beautiful summers sharing life with friends and loved ones some no longer here indeed we may never pass this way again this tune brings me back to those days that have passed so precious times.❤
The voice of an angel. She was taken from us far too soon. I'm sure that many souls on the other side ask her to sing for them in sylvan fields under shady trees hundreds of feet high.
what a beautiful voice karen had silky smoothe she was the best no one can compare to her always remember her beautiful songs shes one in 50 million thanks karen for voice
Everything feels so out of control, their music takes me back when things were simple and safe. I remember hearing this music as a small child and it was so nice now it’s like a warm hug.
She can make some of the most incredible sounds. It seems odd but close your eyes and listen to the word.. it's at about the 2:25 mark. Actually just close your eyes and listen to the whole thing. She was one of a kind.
Grew up with carpenters I'm 40 now and a singer and I often perform there songs including this year 2024 and i love reminding many people of them and old classics ...there just beuatiful 🎉
When I was in the 6th grade in 1970, my teacher had this album and played it in class just because. I actually stopped what I was doing to listen to her sing. It was very calming. Maybe that’s why he played it…ya think.
My mother had this album and I listened to it a lot as a young boy back in the 70S. I remember when Karen Carpenter passed away in 1983 that was so sad.
I was only about six when this song was a hit. Her emotion, and her voice made sure that everyone from my age on up understood the song. RIP Karen...and thank you.
Sin duda, una de las más hermosas voces que jamás escuché ...hoy 24 de Noviembre 2024, recién cumplí 71 años. Un saludo a Richard Carpenter...desde Zacatepec Morelos, México....

She was spectacular. One of those special kinds of people who can heal people with her music, but sadly, she couldn't do it for herself. 😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤
What an absolutely beautiful tribute Darryl to the Greatest singer who has ever lived!
Yes because she's amazing and they'll realize that AI sucks BAD when it comes to music. Analog rules, digital is good for only convenience in playback

the voice of an angel
These were the days when singing talent really shone. No need for remixing with Karen Carpenter. What a glorious voice.
Perfect post. I agree 100%
perfect pitch/ incomparable tone to her voice- she LITERALLY had a PERFECT voice !
Agreed . I think a music analyst said a voice like hers comes around maybe twice in a century.
What a melodic voice Karen had. It portrayed hurt, hope, and resolution all at the same time. Doubtful we'll find thi sort of talent again any time soon.
All her songs take me back to childhood, it feels surreal like it was just all a dream. Miss you mom and dad, Rus, Les and Cherokee.🙏♥️

What makes for a good voice? I know this voice is beautiful, I can’t quite explain why. The enunciation, the measured step; one by one. I don’t know, but her voice makes me happy.
One of their best songs ❤. I often wonder if this is an insight into her depression and eventual health problems. RIP my angel. 🙏🏼
Lots of memories beautiful summers sharing life with friends and loved ones some no longer here indeed we may never pass this way again this tune brings me back to those days that have passed so precious times.❤
