The KOGANE ( Kiha 59 ) is already here in the Philippines since 2012 and owned by the Philippine National Railways. It served as the special and de-luxe train also known as the Mayon Limited De-Luxe Class. It used also as provincial and overnight train. It runs from Manila up to Legazpi City.

As of now, the KOGANE ( Kiha 59 ) train was used as special first class commuter train for the mean time here in the Philippines. We called it, the Premiere Train. It usually runs from Manila up to Santa Rosa, Laguna and it operates four times a day. 2 times operation ( 1 for northbound and 1 for southbound ) during the morning and also 2 times operation ( 1 for northbound and 1 for southbound ) during the afternoon . It usually operates from Monday to Friday only. We hope that JR East will donate more trains here in the Philippines in order to service the Philippine National Railways ( PNR ) especially the Metro Commuter, Bicol Express, Mayon Limited and Bicol Commuter. :)
