@@HistoryHunterSarah I wish we'd have found that one years sooner! A lot of the ones that we have found have been full of antiques. That's part of the fun though, you'll never know what you'll find.
We really do love our exploration and road trips. Faith isn't my daughter, I have three boys. Faith looks younger on camera, she's actually in her twenties.
Thank you! We really appreciate it. Many that I found before I started filming them are already gone and several that I have filmed in the last few months have been demoed now.
I think about it all the time! I believe I was born in the wrong era but exploring these old places is as close as I can get to going back in time. I do wish more people cared about history and preserving these old buildings and the past.
Someone else mentioned that to me as well. I need to invest in a good metal detector. I have found so many abandoned schools! I guarantee you there's a lot buried around them.

10:00, in a town like this it will be hard to tell what’s abandoned, and what’s not. 11:34, it had electricity, at one time. 13:40, looks like your new windshield is already cracked on the van. 17:06, I think that’s a 1940’s?? Pontiac Coupe.
That's for sure! I have seen several that I just knew was abandoned but people were living there. I have given up on windshields! Every time I get a new one it gets busted. The van got a new windshield and one week later a rock truck passed me going down the highway and shattered it. Thanks for the info on the cars as well.
So good ! If more families were out exploring instead of exploring phones and tablets. This world would be a better place. Always love your videos. Looking forward to the next one. 😊👍
I agree. Phones and tablets have completely taken over people's lives. I tried to limit myself for sure! Glad you're enjoying the videos and we really appreciate the comment!
So happy to see you guys again, got worried that you all might have gotten hit by the bad storm, about three weeks ago. Loved the red brick church and the other ones, that huge one was awesome. Also that old Pepsi can caught my eye quick lol. God Bless you guys! (Glen). WV.
We took a couple of weeks off. I cut my finger really bad with a grinder and had to have stitches plus was sick as well. We are back at it now though. Glad you like the videos!
@@whatsaroundthebend Thanks Al! I was actually gone on a bucket-list trip for a couple weeks. We had terrible wi-fi and cellular signals so i was unable to view any TH-cam videos. We left on 5/9/24 got home on 5/21/24. Flew into Seattle from ATL, boarded Norwegian Sun and cruised to Juneau-Icy Point Strait-Haines-Hubbard Glacier-Sitka-Ketchikan-Victoria B.C., then spent a day touring Seattle. Spent the week getting caught up on yardwork and gardening. Woke up Saturday with a nasty summer cold. And two of our Grands are spending this week at our house. I have a LOT of TH-cam videos I haven’t watched, but i’m planning to watch yours first. I always love seeing the off-road sights with your beautiful family! 😁
I have a few properties marked around there that I found a few years ago. I know some have no trespassing signs of. I will have to drive back through there and check it out. Sounds like another road trip!
I got another idea: you know the two farmhouses on US-77? Coming into mead or Wahoo? (Used to be 3 until 2020 due to one being torn down) could you guys get some good shots of those two houses before they are gone? I was totally bummed to see the first house gone and I want some proof the others existed before they are gone too.
I agree, I noticed that they had moved everything in that building to the side that still has a roof over it. It's not going to do much good when the whole building collapses on it!
I agree, it's right up there at the top of the list. So sad that they didn't just keep a roof on it, other than that it was no maintenance. It would still be an excellent condition today if they had.
Those old cars are awesome! It’s a shame walls can’t talk because we’d know the history of all those abandoned places.
"I wouldn't go in there .... to far" 😉
The insides are the best parts.
I like imagining what was.
Safe travels.

I just love how your wife and daughter run around with you on these road trips not many children would be into this kind of thing

This is interesting information! I've watched your videos since the beginning and assumed she and the boy were your kids!
YESSS YOURE LOOKING AT THE HOUSE I REQUESTED
It was a fun one to explore!
Love the videos! I liked the first house you explored and I would love to have that old Ford truck..thanks for sharing and keep ‘‘em coming. 👍
I'm glad you like the video! It's definitely fun making them. That Ford truck was super straight with no rust. Very unusual for nebraska!
,'👍
Very cool places! Nice to see someone getting these places on video before they're gone! Just subscribed! - Chad, B.C.D.

@@whatsaroundthebend kind of sad, but atleast because of your channel we have the opportunity to get to see them! Thank you!
Thanks very much, fascinating to see these old places and think what stories they could tell.

You should of had a metal detector for the School yard!!

One of your best videos yet. Good tip from your viewer👌👍
I saw this house YEARS ago on Flickr and FB and I just wanted to know more about this house!
Yes it was. I appreciate any tips that I can get! Glad you like the video.

Marx Train guy here, The Chevy is a 1949 or 50. A 1954 Ford 4dr. and 1951-52 Ford pickup. The final coupe on a flatbed is a 1939 Chevy .
Thanks for the info! I'm getting better at it identifying old cars but I still have a ways to go! Thanks for the comment.

I will have to check that out. Was it east of wahoo?
@@whatsaroundthebend yes but closer to mead
That was a nice house back in its heyday. Just a roof would have made such a difference.
That was truly a completely maintenance-free house other than the roof. I couldn't imagine letting it go!
Hey Mates Good to see yous Again
Thank you! Glad you're still watching as well!
If I'm not mistaken I think that grave stone said (the deceased name on top > "Roy M. Son of J.B. & E.L. Stotts"
The first Iowa house there was a globe for an old gas pump.
Good eye. I didn't even notice it!
Those probably the older versions of our modern furnace/ central heat
This was a nice old sadan i wonder why it was sitting out there in the middle of the pasture like that
That was kind of a mystery to us as well. There was nothing around for miles. I definitely didn't expect to see a car sitting out there.
1939 Chevy on the trailer. 👍🏻
Looks to me a 52 Ford as its neighbor ❤
Thanks for the info! We appreciate the comments!
Ok nevermind the comment about see the old school bus i miss read the title lol
You can usually get all info thru County Property Appraiser office with address etc
That house has been abandoned for so long, they didn't even have it in their records. Usually they have all the details right there.
Someone really needs to rescue the old piano, furniture, and appliances out of this school
I agree, I noticed that they had moved everything in that building to the side that still has a roof over it. It's not going to do much good when the whole building collapses on it!
I believe that Chevy is a1949 fast back 🥺
This has got to be the saddest old house that I've seen so far on your on your channel 😢
I agree, it's right up there at the top of the list. So sad that they didn't just keep a roof on it, other than that it was no maintenance. It would still be an excellent condition today if they had.
I'm waiting for the old bus
Good video BUT turn off the Captions they are very annoying when you are watching the video, other then that was very interesting !
Thanks for the tip. We are experimenting with a few different things and looking for feedback like this.
The old car looks like an old 1948 Chevy
No older than 49 Bobby. ❤
Cool faith is the dare devil
Yes she is! We have both gone into some sketchy places for sure.
Do you have to ask the landowner? Where I live it wouldn't be accepted without permission.
In some cases yes. Different laws from state to state. I never go on any property that is posted.
