Ever been to Charleston, South Carolina? Those charming streets - that delicious food...Yum! Ever visited a Southern Plantation?
From Cobblestone Stroll to the Dirty South.
Charleston: A Tale of Two Cities
One of the very best things about that day, as usual, were all the really interesting and heart felt moments shared with strangers.
You know you're used to seeing episodes where I'm in Barbados or Europe, and laughing or smiling... and Whoo-hoo! But my drive to travel has so much to do with connecting with people... and curiously exploring, learning - gaining perspective.
So as we all travel, may we take the knowledge that we've gained, to create a legacy that we can be proud of.
* Warning that some of the information shared in this episode may be triggering and is definitely disturbing. Content is a bit mature - but I did see kids at the plantation that day.

Yes, I've visited Charleston and Beaufort, SC and enjoyed learning about the history, cultures, and trying different types of restaurants.
I believe I've been to Beaufort, NC, but not Beaufort, SC - so many more places still to explore - even just in the Carolinas!
I love this video and your sensitivity to a challenging time in Charleston's ,and the South's, history. Despite many trips to the area, I'd spent little time learning about much beyond beaches and great seafood. Thank you for expanding my awareness, Lisa.
Great video, Lisa! I loved how thoughtful you were about everything you were processing. Thank you.
Thank you for YOUR thoughtful words of appreciation - and for watching : )
