- If you own an old Dodge you know it takes forever to remove the front clip and it's just not worth it unless you are doing major engine work. We are going to be drag racing this truck at events all over, so I went in search of a simpler solution that would make it easy to quickly get the front clip out of the way to work on the engine. I've gotten spoiled this past month being able to work on it without the fenders and grille in the way. I know a lot of guys make it so it can lift up to have easier access, but I wanted it completely out of the way, and wanted to do something different! I lightened it up and made the whole front clip mount as one piece. I also had to fabricate a radiator support so it mounts independent of the front end. When I first started this project I knew I could make it come off a lot faster, but it wasn't going to be an every time I need to fix something small thing. Given the results, it just might be!

You could make a tilt front end problem avoided
You are making great progress !
We are definitely trying!
Wonderful work looks legit! You are handy with that death wheel but man plz put on eye pro. Revisited this video many times and def a big ty for sharing.
Thank you, I am very happy with how it turned out. You are welcome.
Someone else could be removing bolts while you’re disconnecting wires and shave a minute off the time.
Will you be running a front bumper too?
That's true! Only other person that was there this time was the camera woman lol. It doesn't currently have a front bumper I plan on building a fiberglass one for it
For safety's sake, put some safety glasses on and protect your eyes, brother. Believe me, catching a metal shard in the eye ain't fun. :(
Yeah I've gotten better about wearing them recently lol it is definitely not fun
Thats cool i might do that to my 85 Nice truck bye the way
It is great for working on anything around the engine. Wasn't too hard or time consuming to fab up either. Thank you
