    For me, feeding my mind is reading and watching videos that help me understand why I do what I do and why. Self understanding has been important. The other thing that’s made a huge difference is growing in my Christian Faith which has equipped me to make better decisions and to gain the certainty that I am loved by God and that there’s an important purpose for all of my life. Next I had to let go of alcohol and other unhealthy ways I avoided or numbed and soothed anxiety, fear and anger. Finally, I reevaluated my relationships, growing in understanding that just because someone is in my life it doesn’t mean I have to invest in a relationship with them. Thank you for helping us all to evaluate what path works best for our mental health. Take care.

      Very good. Thanks for this perspective. Christian faith works for me too. A lot of great tools for mental health and happiness sure lies in the Bible :)
      Self awareness and evaluation of relationships have sure been invaluable too. Work in progress 🙂

Doing the adulting in my life when I wasn’t taught how to care for myself in these way has been a roller coaster. Getting out a programed mindset isn’t easy but definitely possible.     I finally went into this fairly new center for people experiencing mental health crisis, so five hours later back at home, I am feeling annoyed, distrustful, but he seemed surprised if not a lot shocked that I'm of no particular religion or faith, I did say, spiritual which he repeated as if it just didn't mean anything to him at all and was pretty irritated on reflection, it explained the religious songs or gospel songs playing, on low in the background, (I love gospel, so don't get me wrong)...I've also been a member of 12 step programmes for over 20 years, but 2 or three years ago I experienced a kind of seismic shift deep inside & 'stoic philosophy' video's appeared on my TH-cam feed....which really helped and empowered me. I'm now, not sure of this place, I will have to see...I detest with a vengeance when people try to influence or coerce me to join a religion I've been force fed the majority of my 64 years, partly because some of the sickest individuals hide within the folds of its soul crushing demeanor, so I don't trust and after all I've survived how could anyone else feel different if they'd been imprisoned in exactly the same way??? Ironically, god give me strength.

    The other day A grocery store employee false accused me for stealing.
    Even though i didnt do anything.
    And she checked my pockets there was nothing in.
    Again after checking completed she had followed me to parking lot until i left store. My friend was Also there with me while shopping she didnt check my friend .
    This is embarrassing and social inequality.

      It doesn't really matter what people think or say about you or accuse you of. Standing in your own truth and knowing who you really are is far more important and more powerfull. And that's the thing that should focus on. So, are you a thief?
