As someone who received Christ at 17yrs old in 1972 during the Jesus Revolution here in California, I can't wait to see this movie. Still going strong, Jesus is real and is returning Maranatha!
Yes me too, I was in a Christian commune in Eureka, California. I just turned 72 and still going strong for the Lord!!!!
I also received Christ at 17 years of age in New Mexico at a Youth-led revival. We didn't know how much the Lord was moving across the country at the time, but started to hear about things happening in California, then Dallas, then... Jesus Christ- the same yesterday, today, and forever!
Me too, but not until 1976. I was 21. Some family friends took me out to a Saturday night concert at CC Costa Mesa to see Keith Green. I think Jimmy Kempner was leading Saturday night concerts then and Lonnie F was gone. It was in the new building by then. I wasn’t around for the tent but so many of my new friends were. So I was fruit of that revolution.
@@janetlanders8220 can I ask what the name of the house ministry was? I came to the Lord at Calvary Chapel in 1970 and 4 years later I joined a house ministry.
@@lds251 I lived at the light house ranch but their were many houses throughout Usa. It was through Jim Durkin gospel outreach.
My husband was there! Although he didn’t attend Chuck’s church, he was only a few miles away passing out tracks, and playing his guitar on the streets, beaches and in prisons. He DID go to Calvary Chapel for their concerts every Saturday night where he saw Lonnie, Greg and others not mentioned. I’m grateful for the movie because he said it brought back a lot of memories and has stirred his heart! I say…LET’S GO! Jesus IS coming soon!☝🏼

Jonathan Roumie, in interviews about this film, tells a story of when he was out in the water and the baptisms were being filmed, that one of the extras participating in this, came up close to him between takes and asked if her baptism could be done for real. Well, Johnathon was not expecting that one, but agreed, so when it came her turn to be baptized it was not just acting but the real deal. And the young woman exited the scene, as Johnathan says, like she was like 30 lbs lighter, brimming with joy.

I saw Jesus Revolution Feb. 19, 2023. For me it was fantastic. I thought the story was fantastic as well as the acting. I have told quite a few people about it and when it was showing in theaters. I've told Christians as well as non-Christians about it.

Received the Lord in 1975 attended both Calvary Chapel Riverside (now Harvest) and CCCM. Hadn’t heard Jimmy Kempner’s name in awhile but yes remember seeing Keith Green as well. Looking forward to seeing this.

I can’t wait for the film because I lived through that period of time and came to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the Jesus revolution! The book was excellent, and I have high hopes that the film might inspire this next generation to seek the truth found in the Bible

As someone who was there, and watching this clip- my only complaint so far is that they made Chuck look a little clueless. Also, they made Lonnie look too much like he was Jesus himself and that he was smarter than Chuck. Lonnie was street-smart, but childlike at the same time. But I am looking fwd to seeing it.

I saw the movie twice, Loved it. I might go again. I was 16 in 1972 and remember a lot of the movement even though I was a little young to be involved.

I remember and love doing the 'One Way' finger pointing upward sign. The Jesus Revolution people weren't just Sunday only Christians. I got saved in '73 and remember buying the Love Song album then. This movie brought back precious memories.

I became a believer during the Summer of 1969. That dates me clearly. I enjoyed the movie! It brought back memories at Calvary Chapel now fifty four years ago. Jesus is coming back soon.

I lived through it. It is accurate. We only see a small segment of what was going on. It was a lot more than the movie shows. Sadly, a lot of people who were "experimenting" died.

Don’t put this movie in the same class as a Holy and righteous God. Jesus doesn’t need you to promote a water down gospel of his word.
