and with the years battery will be lasting less and less and to travel above 600km you will have to charge for hours also there are no charging stations in europe yet charge 2 days at home while a diesel truck will refuel in few mins and find tons of gas stations and a range of more than 1000 km

The battery sizes are way to small, with the amount of asphalt on the roads, oil isn’t going anywhere. The only way to cut emissions is to raise interest rates, collapse the global paper economy & turning to a gold standard. That'll just reduce the trailer's capacity. Trucks have weight restrictions, so it's ideal they get the most out of their capacity, within regulations.
why do scania and volvo do not abandon complex gearboxes and put more battery and individual motor to every wheel?? I think in this way they can build nice spacious interiors and less complex cheaper trucks..
The point is to sell you parts and keep you in the shop a couple times a year ... China is way ahead on this technology with switchable battery systems keeping the truck workable 3 shifts non stop ! Remember , this is one of the manufacturers living from parts ,not the truck selling itself

It’s currently being trailed in Germany and there’s a stretch of the M180 that’s been selected for a potential trail in the UK. I suspect that’s the way forward for electric haulage, because 300kms is nothing

OEM's including Scania need to fight against governments and politicians and this ridiculous race to electric vehicle disaster. 1 - Expensive to buy. 2- no-one will buy it after a few years old so the depreciation is awful. 3- insurance companies will want to write them off after minor accidents due to higher risk of fire. 4- Battery fires are extreme and take hours, or a day to extinguish. 5- Expensive to repair. 6- limited number technicians available to repair. 7- Completely unsustainable due to the carbon footprint of the batteries 8- unsustainable due to the much shorter lifespan of electric vehicles so more vehicles need to be manufactured.

Reusing IP is fine up to the point where it isn't anymore. And a fully electric truck is such a situation.
