Been a fan of these videos for a while but the fact that you’ve now done a Burial tune - particularly THIS Burial tune - has made this my favourite channel on TH-cam. Thank you. Incredible work.
Wow I have even more respect for Burial now. Also I don't think I've seen Tracklib make a pitch shift video thus far? In any case respect for the breakdown
Lost my shit when I saw "Opening Infiltration". Just the music playing over my headphones as I exclaimed "METAL GEAR!?" with enough gusto that David Hayter probably sneezed as the universe though I was talking about him. Love the videos! Keep it up!
@@ashutoshbaluni3188 This is one of the few artists on here I was not familiar with. Now that I know this I'll certainly be bumping their work for the next few days. Thanks for the heads up!
I heard the Ray Jay original not long ago - not knowing where Burial got it from - and honestly that “could it be alone” freaked me out, even though I heard it I couldn’t believe it
Im still just trying to figure out how he removed the piano and other percussion elements during that part. Especially without the AI stems splitters we have now. Wild.
To my knowledge you guys are the first to lay out the actual pitch shifting done on the Ray J sample. All the other's I've seen over the years have been wrong. Major props
was really hoping you'd cover the specifics of his pitch adjustment. seems like 2, 4, 5, and 7 semitone adjustments are the way to go. really love this style
Not sure where the “try it out” vocal comes from but I’m 90% sure that son y records all the vocal chops himself for his songs. So that’s him singing and then processing the vocals
One of the all time greats 🙏 Much love and respect to Burial, and constantly impressed and in love with these vids Tracklib 🙏 Keep up the outstanding work!
People thought this guy was Aphex Twin or some other famous producer operating under a different monicker but it was just a teen who loved Metal Gear with a copy of Soundforge.
this was such an awesome visual format for a video. i would love to see the whole song in this visualizer with you taking the time to flip the colors when samples hit throughout the track.
Such a masterpiece of a record! There's also a sample at the end of the track from Christina Aguillera's Saturday night live performance when you hear "ohh no" 👀
I've been listening to this masterpiece for years and you mean to tell me it's been the patron saint of TH-cam content Mr. RAYCON himself this whole time??? i just don't know how to cope 😩
burial combined the dude from kim k's sex tape and playstation music to create the most emotionally stirring song of 2007

give more respect to Ray J, he's a West coast legend

Combining R&B Acapella and Metal Gear music. Absolutely genius
kinda blown away tbh
This dude made this album in SOUNDFORGE which is essentially like making an album in Audacity, just dragging .wavs around
Yeah man, my mind blew when I heard that 10 something years ago (ish).
LEGEND
fucking ridiculous
Thats kind of awful in both meanings of the word.
Seriously?! Yeah, my mind is in pieces now!
Burial is like the J Dilla of dubstep. Godly understanding of timing and the layering skills of a fine fine baker.
and both don't bother using any quantization
@@TRTSMTT Burial litteraly couldn't, his software was soundforge which had no gird
Unrelated but let me get this straight: burial is dubstep and skrillex is brostep, right?

This type of sampling with pitch shifting is so fucking fun, it’s like making a collage with analog filters and edits
I just love how he used different parts of the vocals to make his own lyrics.
