I almost cried at Douglas with the leash on his head! 🤣 And I love it when our cat wanders around the house yelling for us. He's an otherwise very quiet cat, but every so often he'll run right past everyone to the basement by himself, and then yell (it sounds a bit like a 'hello?' over and over) like he has no idea where we are. 😂

I know!! I'm in my 60s and the schools here no longer teach the kids cursive, (long hand) writing. My co-worker's son can't read that weird writing! I love old cards and such for the penmanship and formal style compared to today's writing.
@Loretta Oates I think one of my kids learned cursive in school, just one year, and it was more for art class than literacy. I used to love filling those lined pages with e's or f's, and seeing the improvement. I don't think we even called it cursive, just handwriting! Good times. 😊

I got into embroidery during the pandemic. I started with a kit that had corresponding TH-cam videos to teach the basic stitches. It was (and still is) such a good way to be creative and I find the process relaxing. I hope you have fun learning and can't wait to see what you make!
I have a bunch of old postcards from my grandparents, as well as the love letters my grandparents wrote to each other during WWII. I love little pieces of history like that.
I’m so glad you got Doug. His life is probably so much better as a result, and yours probably is too. You’re a good pet mom. My beloved puggle Penny Doo was the best fly catcher. I installed an XL utility sink in my basement mostly to set up a dog spa station for my dogs. I also got a high air flow dryer for them and set up a rolling cart next to the sink. Great investment.

Hey Bea, maybe try smearing some peanut butter on the bath wall the next time you give douglas a bath! my rescue dog was *absolutly TERRIFIED of the bath until I started doing that and now she even gets in all by herself if I ask! If hes food motivated it might work for him too!
I LOVE old postcards and correspondence. I found a lifetime of correspondence from a woman who carbon copied her correspondence and kept what came to her. I cried when her daughter moved out, laughed when she came back home with a dog that pooped in the house and caused drama with the dad, and learned about her furry about discrimination as she wrote a letter to protest a diner who wouldn’t serve a black person in the 60’s. I also love the old cards and postcards. Old tea is good tea! ❤️

Riffling through the belongings of the dead is one of my fave passtimes LOL My bestie and I are going antiquing next weekend and I can't wait! (most people we know aren't into it, so whenever we visit each other we always get some antique shop browsing in).

We are so alike in so many ways. The first place I always look in antique stores is at the post cards and old portraits. I’ve even been able to reunite some families with their lost family photos which is a fun hobby of mine 😊
Bathing Douglas was prime chaos. You looked slightly traumatized at the end of it 😂. Also Dougie's looking like a new dog since you started tackling his allergies. He's a very handsome boy and you're a good fur mama.
I LOVE old postcards. I love their styles and reading some of the sentiments on them. I've made some boards made of the old cards and they're really pretty and definitely and conversation piece.
Glad to see you again! I need the reminder to keep up with the small things in life and keep good habits. As far as glass water bottles go, I use the ello glass water bottle and it's held up well over the years, not quite big enough for around the house for me, but great for travel.
The best thing about glass is that humans have been using it as a vessel material for literally eons and it is 100% safe. It does not absorb or leak any weird/nasty chemicals into your drinking water. (Unlike certain other "disposable" bottles made from petroleum byproducts).
That box of postcards is a really cool purchase, the same with the embroidery floss. The bath portion of this video brought back memories from the past, no matter how well I prepared the result was always a disaster area in the making. Mop always required.

You should try finding or making a jacket/sleeve for your giant water bottles!! That way you don’t have to deal with the sweating on the outside or maybe at least have a buffer so they don’t break as easily
Hey BB cream! Have you thought of trying silicone sleeves for your glass bottles? Thats what i do so they don't slip out of my hands and they help collect the sweat so you dont get a puddle every time you set it down.
