    @TravelAnorak 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Emirates economy class is fantastic, but I found the legroom on their 777 to be a bit tighter than on the A380 even though it's supposedly the same seat pitch. Also, the A380 feels like a smaller plane thanks to the sectioned economy cabin.

    • @BlakeEdgington
      @BlakeEdgington  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do agree that the A380 experience is brilliant with Emirates and I would certainly choose it over the 777.

    Wow their economy product appears to rival others' premium or business class product. Looked fantastic!

    • @BlakeEdgington
      @BlakeEdgington  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn’t quite call it premium or business but it is certainly excellent.

    Thanks for another informative and considered review Blake. While I love the overall Emirates product, I have found the weak link to be the inconsistency of service. I have experienced superb service through to disorganised and robotic cabin crew.

    • @BlakeEdgington
      @BlakeEdgington  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Appreciate you sharing your experience. Most of my Emirates flights have had great crew apart from one trip last year. Nothing bad but the crew just seemed to be going through the motions a little.

  • @Fai-MA
    @Fai-MA 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    As usual the report is fantastic.... a sign of superiority in the sky when you see they are using the new economy class for short haul flights and serving a meal for a merely 80 mins flight not just a snack/drink as most other airlines do.

    • @BlakeEdgington
      @BlakeEdgington  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The level of service was certainly a surprise and as usual I was very impressed by my Emirates experience.

    You were right! Some airlines actually make a 10 abreast economy look a bit more pleasant. Can’t say I like airlines putting 10 seats per row on 777s despite it being the norm these days, but I Really wanna try Emirates and Singapore Airlines one day but will have to save up a lot of money.

    • @BlakeEdgington
      @BlakeEdgington  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      10 abreast is becoming the norm with airlines but as you saw, some do it better than others. I hope that you get the chance to fly Emirates at some point.

  • @FromtheWindowSeat
    @FromtheWindowSeat 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice work. 👏👍 Looks like a great flight! I think the fact this was a short flight and lightly loaded helped ... I found the Emirates 777 economy seats a little narrow flying from Dubai to Adelaide. The 3-4-3 layout meant you were competing for shoulder room and the armrest with your seat neighbour particularly during meal service. Since then I’ve avoided them in favour of Qatar who fly the A350 to Adelaide. 😉
    Looking forward to your Qatar reviews as well as finding out whether Doha Airport beats Dubai in your opinion. 🤔

    • @BlakeEdgington
      @BlakeEdgington  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      10 abreast on any 777 is a little tight but the legroom helps. The Qatar airways reviews will be coming very soon.

    Dear Blake, what a wonderful and detailed review!!...I was browsing for Emirates economy class couple seat review at the rear end of the aircraft & it came up with your detailed review!! Im so glad that you made such an informative video & that too a couple of years back.
    Just a quick question...
    Did u find any issues in resting your leg correctly since many reviews claim that seat 46A or 46K being a 2 seat row is misaligned with the 3 seat row infront?
    Thanks in advance.

    Great Review as per usual, however have used them a few times and when the 777 is full it can be uncomfortable and cramped. Furthermore even though excellent inflight entertainment system, seat and reputation feel Emirates have grown to big to quick and at times loses customer focus...

    • @BlakeEdgington

      The A380 is certainly the more comfortable aircraft in my experience. That being said compared to most airlines who operate the 777 I would choose Emirates every time.

    • @BlakeEdgington
      @BlakeEdgington  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Airline preference and more importantly revenue. 9 abreast was common a few years ago but as is the case with most airlines today, if they can squeeze in more passengers they will. 10 seats across is increasingly becoming the standard now.

    Since Kuwait is close to Dubai, I have flown on many many Emirates flights, and I enjoyed it :) However I found that Qatar Airways to be the better airline, So I switched to QR, not only the flight experience, but Hamad international airport Is superior, easier to navigate and newer than DXB.
