The bumper with bouncing blocks, was shown when Cartoon Network UK/Europe closed for the day at 9pm (London Time) just before TNT starts. Cartoon Network and TNT used to share the same transponder due to Astra 1C having a limited capacity as it was an analogue satellite. A 9pm closedown also applied to a majority of cable customers, unless you were lucky enough to live in CableTel (was NTL, now Virgin Media) area (1996 onwards) or if you had Sky Digital from 1998 onwards. Cartoon Network is now 24 hours a day on all platforms and TNT ceased to exist, leaving TCM as its spiritual successor.
I was feeling nostalgic when editing this video and to the unhappiness and annoyance of British and European children in the 90's, this bumper meant the the day was over, get away from the TV and go to bed. XD
As there is no publicly accessible fully recorded version, I specially edited the video from TH-cam user JamXMix, put the bouncing blocks in a loop and used the full version of Steve Everitt's song "The Hood" as the soundtrack. This bumper was also used to fill advertisement breaks, in the rare occasion of when there is no more adverts to broadcast.
