Very impressive video. Makes you appreciate the wonderful cars we can just go and purchase. All the specialized tools like that mini vacuum and air brush aint just layin around the house.
Nice video. And nice to see that old Badger 150, I used one of them forever. My advice is to upgrade to an Iwata Revolution SAR….and consider an Iwata Revolution BR for fine detail. You have a good hand but you'll be amazed how much more control you'll have (and shoot at more like 18 psi). I can tell you're more of artist than a racer though….all that prep work and 2000 grit sanding only to smash into a wall and drop to the floor on the first hot lap (sorry, just kidding).
That funny I've started collecting since Mid 2009. Not got as many as you though but its expanding quite quickly. (Yes I am from the UK) And thanks good to know your going to be watching.
I have some old Aurora HO Scale slot cars that I want to install new bumpers and wind shields on them. The soldering iron that I have does not have the flat tip that the solder iron in the video does. Also I wonder if this solder iron is adjustable temperature ?
I would recommend always to remove older paint, to get the raw body ... then to start completely a new paint job. It's worth it, for the better result ...
Kirfin, well documented, but I have to wonder are you a professional hobbyist? You have remarkable skills and you're very well setup with equipment. Extraordinary job.
very nice job, but seems like an awful lot of work for a car that will inevitably be crashed repeatedly. I think i’ll stick to my factory paint jobs for that reason.
Kirfin i Want to ask these white kits are they revel kits or specially for slot car ps I heard you are German so if yes you can type German if it is easier
Hello FELTBMXFAN, das verwendete 'White Kit' war von CARRERA. Neue Kits werden nicht mehr angeboten. Es finden sich aber noch genügend solcher Rohkarossen auf diversen Internetplattformen ...

Why would you use a power tool to screw a plastic chassis to a plastic body? That seems like massive overkill?
Perfekt gemachtes Video! Das Auto schaut natürlich auch gut aus.
Danke! Thanks a lot! ...
What if you wanna repaint an old slack car do you have to remove all the paint 1st or just paint over it what's the process thanks

Hello Ken!
Thanks! ... I'm just an artist ...
The most I've done is replacing the old chip on some 1/32 Evolution Pro-X with the new Digital ones. :(
Excellent tutorial
Now thats a collection
Where do you live and how much do you charge to paint a slot car?
very nice job, but seems like an awful lot of work for a car that will inevitably be crashed repeatedly. I think i’ll stick to my factory paint jobs for that reason.

Hallo, eigentlich nicht. Normales 'Waschbenzin' ...

Hello! Great Job!!! To wash the kit uses a simple sponge or an abrasive sponge?
You use a abrasive cleanser,a sponge is too rough all you want is the slightest bit to make the paint adhere properly and make sure its very clean.
Awesome video
Do you do commissioned work?
Sorry ... No ...
