Before the patch you could teach any pokemon any move using the move rememberer. They probably got Boomburst from a Flygon or Exploud and then bred the illegitimate Chatot with a regular Chatot to make a legal Chatot.

Chatot can also get the egg move in like Sun & Moon. So when BDSP gets compatibility with Home, you can transfer a Chatot with Boomburst.
But for now, it’s illegal

That was some crazy shenanigans! I honestly feel like you've come across every possible combination of absurd events in Pokemon xD
Like who thought a Chatot with hacked Boomburst will get KOed by a soda pop Spinda with copycat that was /hindered/ completely in Special Attack (and its only attacking move is Focus Punch?!). And that's just ONE of the many absurd things in this battle!
Besides, that focus punch KO on Lucario was oddly satisfying...
+1 hindered SpA Spinda. +1 did matter, according to calc, +1 0- Spinda Boomburst deals 91.3-107.9% damage, so that was a 50/50 KO if it had no relevant defensive investment. Still one of the most wild finishes to a Pokemon battle I've ever seen. Never underestimate the random drunk guy, apparently. xD
Chatot and Swellow are really interesting in this game. There’s not really many instances of Pokemon being allowed online with moves they can’t actually get legit. Hopefully these will be obtainable legit in the future- Boomburst is a big buff to special Shellos sets.
The only way to get these are through glitches. There was a weird bug when you could get moves onto Pokémon that shouldn’t usually get them- I have no idea how it was done. My mate was able to use it to get a Sacred Fire+Serene Grace Togekiss (hacker exposed), so perhaps they used the glitch to get Boomburst onto it. Either way, the cheat needs a taste of salt.

Chatot can normally learn Boomburst just not yet in BDSP
@@silliercrayon9588 Chatot cannot learn Boomburst by standard level up. It has to breed with Noivern (who is unavailable at the moment), to obtain it as an egg move. This has been the case, since Gen 6
I've seen that glitch, a youtuber showed doing it to get roar of time on an infernape. It involves using the menu glitch to change the pokemon that receives a move from the move relearner. So any move that is learnt naturally (so not anything that is only available through tms such as rock climb as nothing gen 1-4 learns it through level up, egg moves have different pokemon that can learn it naturally though) can be given to any pokemon through the relearner. It essentially has the menu for remembering moves for the host pokemon, and all the moves they can learn through the relearner, but it replaces the pokemon actually learning the move.
Obviously in most cases it should detect the illegal move in online play but I guess they didn't account for chatot or swellow.
I think it is possible to transfer a Chatot that knows boomburst from XY to BDSP.
Your channel is the only reason I still have any interest in gen 8. Only you can use a copycat/focus punch/trick-soda pop/protect Spinda and somehow make it work. Happy New Year Pimpnite.

Given the boomburst chartot being illegal in this game without breeding from noivern there might be a similar scenario where there might be a punishment Murkrow/Honchcrow as Murkrow was supposed to learn the move from SM/USUM but the circumstances were impossible
When ev training my shiny flygon after lv 70 it learns boomburst but I don’t know if it could be breed with the bird
He also could have used the move relearn glitch to get the move. Then bred it

In Pokemon Showdown, Chatot can use Boomburst in the Gen 8 BDSP sections so I didn't really think much of it.
Not having Pokemon Home integration on launch of a new game is embarrassing, that's like the entire point of the service.
You are aware they have not launched a single pokemon game with home or bank access on day 1 ever for the US at least.?

Well, Chatot probably passed the legit check since once Home is compatible, you can pass one from sun and moon with boomburst and breed it here.
make a video on double battle, where you boost your allys attack and special attack with swagger/flatter. prefebly use a pokemon with an ability to ignore confusion or berry to bypass it. and sweep with it while the other pokemon just boost/heal it.

There's actually a pretty funny glitch where with the move reminder you can teach a Pokemon any move you want do long as someone in your party knows it already I don't know if they patched this or not but as a result someone got a Machamp with no guard that knew

So ya the move is 100% impossible to learn for chattot as of right now but i'm sorry to say pimpnite as much as i love your videos that there are pokemon that can learn it via level up in BDSP. That would be vibrava and flygon as well as Exploud. As for how this is being done probably not so much of hacking as it is bug exploitation like how people are making all these meme's and videos about having machokes and machamps knowing LITERALLY EVERY OHKO MOVE! But people comment your thoughts and opinions in his video. Remember comments are good for his youtube algorithm.
I don’t think BDSP will be compatible with Home. The Pokémon Company has announced that Pokémon from Legends: Arceus can be transferred to Sword and Shield via Home and we know that the Hisuian region is just the Sinnoh region from its early days so I’m assuming all Gen 4 Pokémon not attainable in Sword or Shield will be attainable in Legends: Arceus.
yeah if Chatot was in the underground, it could have been possible, but since he's not, he's definetly hacked, atleast until Pokemon HOME connects with the games. I got a Shiny Chatot with Boomburst from UM waiting to arrive on BD :D

wait a minute, Damp is Paras' Hidden Ability... You can only get Hidden Ability pokemon through PokeRadar right? And Paras cannot be PokeRadar'd as he is in the Great Marsh, you can't use that there right? I think that one is also hacked
I tried to look up the "It gets it in the grand underground" but yeah... neither birds appear there. And there's no other mons who can learn it who can breed to them.
Fun Fact: On New Years of 2016 I was hunting for a celebration shiny. And The shiny that I found was a shiny chatot!

Okay so if you’re on gen 7 and breed a noivern and swellow and then transfer the swellow to gen 8 you can breed swellow and chatot to get the move boom burst a lot of work but possible I’ll try it out when I get off work to see if I’m right tho it’s just speculation at this point
Chatot can have boomburst from pokemon bank if it is an option. My ex mega shiny pinsir who had return in gen 7 still have this move my pokemon sword copy even if this move doesnt exist there
The 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 glitch allowed you to teach any move to almost every Pokemon.
