just purchased my ‘22 Backdraft Racing RT4 Cobra “classic” from Naples Motorsports (and I’m in KC). These guys were great. Haven’t purchased a new car since 1997. They made it so nice, and the car rocks. Thanks again!

I looked at Cobras for 41 years before I able to purchase one. I purchased a Backdraft that was built in 2013 by Millerspeed1 out California. I love the car! I am very happy with every aspect of the vehicle.
Arthur Sanchez I’m in California also. Did you have to do anything special to get it registered?
@@givemetoast I don't know about California but here in NJ the car has to pass a special inspection to get registration. If it is titled as a 1965 replica like mine, it never has to be inspected again. Cars that old(Ha, Ha) are exempt. There is plenty of info on the Cobra forums about inspection.

As Stewart says, I would be interested at $60k. Maybe if during the 2023 recession, they will lower their prices back to what they use to be.
Gorgeous Car
Had the privilege to take an up close look at these at Sun n Fun 2019 and I will say I was impressed at the quality of the car for the price. The one I looked at was $70K and all in all, it was quite a bargain for a turn key high performance car.
Question for those who have driven it, do you burn your legs on the exhaust when getting out of the car after being driven for a while? Also is there a place to charge a USB phone ?
There are heat shields on the exhaust to prevent this. That's what the metal piece with the holes is.
What is the difference in suspension design - backdraft and Factory five? Have you driven both cars?

not sure what SPF used but BDR thru 2019 (RT3) uses E36 M3 suspension while the 2020-on RT4 uses E90/92 M3 suspension, and now also all come with the “big and talk” dropped driver footwell as standard.
Is the backdraft body the same dimensions as the original more or less. I sat in a factory 5. It was very tight , I'm 6-4" tall and 280 lbs.
I'd like to know the answer to this as well pls!!

im 6 ft. 2,have a backdraft. I have a 36 inch inseam fit in backdraft fine .only 195 lbs. backdraft is 2 inches longer and wider by roughly 4 inches I believe.
If I could only get the kids off the payroll....!

You forgot to mention the best Cobra available Kirkham.
Kirkham is a beautiful car that is overpriced. Plus who wants a car with a polished aluminum body. Do you have any idea what the cost is to repair even a small rock dent. Astronomical.

backdrafts paint scheme is too modern....i like the modern interior but i like the old exterior appeal .....not a problem i can not afford any od them LOL
Seriously, if you know your car then you about kirkham.. you know the all aluminium body not fiberglass.. convenient omission.

Not buying a car built in Africa.
Vehicle manufacturers such as BMW, Ford (incorporating Mazda), General Motors, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Renault, Toyota and Volkswagen have production plants in South Africa.
Don't worry, Backdraft are top quality factory-assembled cars, same story as Superformance. I'd worry more about buying a used Factory Five built in a garage by a beginner. (Note: a professional builder can easily out-build Backdraft or Superformance. You can actually buy two pro-built Factory Fives for the cost of one Superformance.)

Africa vs South Africa is a huge difference.
it’s across the street from Toyota factory of RSA too. Although the area suffered a big tsunami April 22 (RIP to those who perished), so things will be way backed up.
