The Bundeswehr is the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Germany. The Bundeswehr is divided into a military part and a civil part, the military part consisting of the German Army, the German Navy, the German Air Force, the Joint Support Service, the Joint Medical Service, and the Cyber and Information Domain Service.
As of 31 May 2023, the Bundeswehr had a strength of 181,596 active-duty military personnel and 80,890 civilians, placing it among the 30 largest military forces in the world, and making it the second largest in the European Union behind France. In addition, the Bundeswehr has approximately 30,050 reserve personnel (2020). With German military expenditures at $55.8 billion, the Bundeswehr is the seventh highest-funded military in the world, though military expenditures remain relatively average at 1.4% of national GDP, well below the non-binding NATO target of 2%. Germany is aiming to expand the Bundeswehr to around 203,000 soldiers by 2025 to better cope with increasing responsibilities.
Following concerns from the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, Germany announced a major shift in policy, pledging a €100 billion special fund for the Bundeswehr - to remedy years of underinvestment - along with raising the budget to above 2% GDP.

I didn't know that we had an army in Germany. Because quite honestly, what our Private Pistorius (Minister of Defense) calls an army does not deserve to be called an army. A circus or traditional costume club would be more suitable. I'm quoting the fired Inspector General of the Bundeswehr here: "The Bundeswehr in its current state is not capable of defending the Federal Republic of Germany!" For this statement, he was fired by Private Pistorius. Only the fact that the Inspector General is right is kept secret. In a Bundestag debate in 2019, it was concluded that 53 percent of military technology is not ready for use. The Bundeswehr is not even able to pay its electricity bill. During a maneuver, all 18 of the 18 new "Puma" infantry fighting vehicles deployed failed. The Bundeswehr's ammunition supply is sufficient for a maximum of one full day of combat.

Ja, und die Russen machen genau das selbe Spiel heute.
Nur heißt deren Diktator Putin , statt Polen überfallen sie mit falschen Anschuldigungen die Ukraine, statt Japan haben die China an Ihrer Seite.
Und im Übrigen, vor dem 2. Weltkrieg hatte Deutschland wesentlich weniger und eine viel schwächere Wirtschaft, sprich Rüstungsindustrie und kein Bündnis wie die NATO.
Mit dem Wenigen, haben wir damals schneller Polen überrannt und nicht wie Russland mit einer enormen Übermacht über 2 Jahre, sinnlos abgestrempelt.
Was sag ich 2 Jahre, die Russen sind ja noch lange nicht fertig und reiben sich ohne Ende auf.
Zudem lernen wir aus unseren Fehlern, das die Russen scheinbar nicht können.
Wenn man sieht, wie russsiche Soldaten, immer und immer wieder ins gleiche Minenfeld laufen.
Auch haben wir gelernt, das es in einem Krieg nur Verlierer gibt.
Also zieht aus der Ukraine ab, bevor es zu einen 3. Weltkrieg kommt.
Das wäre für niemand gut und würde für uns alle Tod und Vernichtung bedeuten.
Denn nach einem 3. Weltkrieg mit Atomwaffen, wird es noch nicht einmal mehr einen Verlierer geben, sondern rein gar nichts mehr.
Also stoppt den Wahnsinn, bevor es zu spät ist.

Polarwolf ist so einer der sich von medien leiten lässt und jeden scheiß glaubt! An panzer und Fahrzeugen sind wir super ausgerüstet und das keine Panzer mehr funktionieren außer eine Hand voll ist auch Schwachsinn habe mehrere Leute bei der Bundeswehr die ich kenne und die sagen was anderes ! Vielleicht ist es Taktik von den medien und den Verantwortlichen es schlecht zu reden um die Bundeswehr noch besser auszurüsten! What is the point to have hi - tech weapons when they are actually useless in real war?!
It seems that Russian still have "old school" philosophy how to make weapons, specifically how to make armored vehicles.
It's :make it simple, make it robust, make it running in all weather and make it A LOT!!!

The whole purpose of a tank is to break the enemy lines and take the initial shock that will permit infantry and light mechanised to advance ,that means that they will always be exposed to enemy fire , so investing in good armor and technology for tank and make it survival for the troop is the key ( crew does not die in the tank although the tank gets damaged/destroyed) so while rusiian tech doesn't give a rotten tomato about they're crew in here they do ! Salut

You mean that tanks, that throw their cannon away, when they see an enemy? :D The Russia-Ukraine war is a disaster for the russian weapon industry. Everyone can see, that fire and forget weapons make russian tanks useless. Like in the first gulf war, when Saddam Hussein has the 4th biggest Army in the world full with T-72. The USA had less than 300 dead soldiers and lost 23 M1-Abrams while the Iraq Army had lost 4000 Tanks and had 75.000dead soldiers. Mass Armys cannot withstand a fully operational modern Army with combined arms. By the way this war was the reason for russia to label the new built T-72 to T-90, otherwise they would have problems to sell them to other countrys after that PR disaster.
