Oh dear! As the owner and pilot of this plane i must admit that it was a bit stupid to go for a flight in the upcoming nasty crosswind and rainfall/thunderstorm comin soon. It felt really bumpy not only on the runway but also in the air. You can see the plane flying somehow sideways during the low pass. 🙈 And the landing was a brutal... had a sudden loss of height during final approach. Luckily, in the end it was ok but I am not reslly happy wirh this flight. Maybe there will be a video of a smmother flight of my L-1011 the other day? Bythe way: The grass runway is not very smooth but this is no problem for this kind if plane.
I don't like the grass runway much either but the club who organizes the event makes such a good job, it's really worth being there. And it does no harm to our planes. They are all made for this kind of runway. It only looks less good than a takeoff on a concrete surfsce.
