From what I've seen Yujiro isn't socially awkward at all, and is in fact quite elegant and refined when the situation calls for it. Yujiro is a man of culture, and fighting just happens to be his favorite culture. I've seen three stories of Yujiro having exceptional manners and a dignified quiet presence during meals (twice with Baki and now this one with Jack). This makes him likeable and even respectable in more that just his aloof attitude and brutal tendences. He's pure unfiltered man, honorable and majestic in one moment, savage and horrifying in the next.

I appreciated that this wasn't just a copy of Baki vs. Yujiro. Apart from the window scene, the conversation was very different, and the end of the dinner was not disappointing. Jack accepted that it’s not the right time yet, but he knows it’s going to happen someday. If we look closely, Jack had many reasons to confront his father; however, he didn’t bring up Diane or involve Baki in the conversation. He definitely knew how to handle Yujiro and make him angry.
Overall Jack seems pretty good at gauging opponents now, he knew he could handle Kosho and once he realized what Yujiro was trying knew how to press him just right to piss Yujiro off, but not escalate to a fight. The whole situations like the glass itself, hit just enough Jack is still ‘standing’ and not thrown out.
@@AnakinFury I do like the subtle hints that the guy who is prioritizing nothing but strength is showcasing, either, he's inherited his father's ability to read situations and respond to get exactly what is wanted, or that he's learning
I liked how it shows they replaced the window from their first fight, and somehow got it all replaced with reinforced glass in _RECORD TIME,_ but it also shows Yujiro's planning, or luck, in picking a building old enough that it was still using non-reinforced glass on the upper levels. But I not only agree with you in it being too soon for Jack and Yujiro to fight, but I think it was too soon for Baki and Yujiro to fight Yujiro knows Baki is close, but probably wants another year or two for Baki to polish and refine those skills for the best fight possible. Only reason he did it early is because Yujiro (and I think Baki, too) saw that the old rich guy was terminally ill, and Yujiro owes the rich old dude more than anyone on Earth: • He took care of not one, but TWO of the dude's sons • Gave them both the best platform possible, to chase after him • Kissed their boo-boos with the best medical treatment available • Gave him the closest thing to entertainment he'd had in years • Was (through Baki's warning) one of the only people to ever actually "defeat" him (tranq'd him after his surprise appearance, before he could severely injure any more of the tournament's losers that they were celebrating at the time) It's why the first big opening move was Yujiro following his son down a highrise building like, "It's time for you to watch, before you go, so try missing *THIS* old man!" What's hilarious is trying to determine whether the fight miraculously cured Tokugawa (the rich old guy), or if the old dude faked it so good (to try to get the fight started, on his behalf) that he fooled the Ogre into getting what he wanted (knowing, like Yujiro, that Baki was ready, but not "polished" like Yujiro wanted)
@@landonletterman831 I like the interpretation Tokugawa was genuinely ill and Yujiro doing him a solid like that miraculously cured him, like he saw something so beautiful he didn't want to leave just yet.
