- In this video I am bow hunting with my grandpas old recurve. He gifted me the bow a few years back and last year I decided to take a deer with it before putting it into storage for my son. No luck last year, but this year my luck changed.....

This video gives me a massive boost of faith in humanity. I’m 40 having my first child in 4 weeks and I hope to someday have this experience, been thinking of it since my late 20’s when I almost lost my father. The scare brought me back to my childhood waiting for pa to come back home and tell me it’s time to go get the lantern. My wife a non hunter from no hunters has always been supportive but didn’t quite understand the whole meaning behind hunting. I shared this video and she was in tears by the end of it. She hugged and kissed me and said I get it now…I can see it in this family. Your family is clearly composed of amazing souls spanning multiple generations. Thank you for raising a solid future for all of us and sharing this with us. Respect from Wisconsin

Amazing shot! Nothing like hunting quietly with a traditional bow and arrow.
I love how the entire family was involved. That buck is more important, among things that matter in life, than a new world record. This is the kind of buck that should face the front cover of a major hunting magazine, because it is what hunting is really all about. I am so weary of the hunting personalities who hire, in one way or another, every aspect of the hunt and then move in for the shot. Love what you've shared.

Young man, you are richer than you will ever know. Your family makes you so. I grew up hunting in a family of hunters and lost my father in June of '21. I miss him terribly. Never take what you have for granted. Treasure and nourish it. I am proud of my kids but boy did I love it when they were young like yours are now.... Don't blink because it goes way too fast..

Brought a tear to my eye remembering having my 2 little girls on the hunts in the blind with me. They were my 'deer spotter experts'! We talked about all the animals we'd see. Red Tail hawks hunting field mice and rabbits, geese migrating, finches, woodpeckers and squirrels, on and on... They'd help me track, then pick through the gut-pile asking what each organ was and what 'it did' ! LMBO!!!

What a great video! I watched my youngest son make his first bowkill at the age of ten and a couple of weeks ago, the now 22 year old, called me from the stand 2 minutes after arrowing a buck that green grossed 163 3/4 ". It's so awesome that hunting and fishing is something that you all enjoy as a family! Love it!!!!!

Now that's a Michigan stud dude biggest I have ever seen on public in Michigan was about ten points with a big body. Never shot a buck in Michigan yet, this year is the year and you have motivated me to get my grand father's darton wx600 out now. RIP grandpa keep Grandma company.

Great video, and buck. My grandpa passed suddenly last year. I used to call him after every deer I shot. Now my 8 year old son shot his first deer this past weekend, and I wanted nothing more than to call Paw Paw to tell him. He would've been so proud. Cherish those moments with your grandpa, and all of your family.

That's what dreams and memories are made of ... I remember when it used be like that with my family, one of us kill a deer and we are all there to celebrate and help find , drag , clean etc. And it's a great feeling...
