- Join me as I return to Chessington World Of Adventures to check out all of the changes and operations taking place since the parks reopening. In this vlog I take a look at the different procedures in place to allow for social distancing, along with regular cleaning taking place on the rides. I also share a mix of on and off ride footage from some of my favourite rides at Chessington, along with checking out the parks new themed area, The Rainforest.

Never realised how well themed Vampire's station is. That vampire animatronic is awesome.
It’s still a shame they got rid of the bubbleworks, that was my childhood 😔
I do still miss Bubbleworks however I do enjoy a the Gruffalo!

What's amazing is that Shaun has the lungs to sound like Shawn without a facemask on. Just scroll down, you can't tell!
I cannot wait to go back there, I’ve been sitting at home watching all of the theme park videos and I’m ready to go on some rides 😂

Another great vlog! After visiting Busch Tampa, Kentucky Kingdom, and Holiday world and observing different guidelines I would say things that are working well are virtual queues, getting rid of fast track, reservation requirements, temp checks, social distancing parties on rides, capping attendance, and social distancing from other parties on paths and at restaurants... Things that I think have not worked well have been full mask requirements all day, social distancing attempts in queues, closing most eateries, and full social distancing on rides and coasters even parties.
Great vlog as usual Shawn, really hoping to get back to Chessington in August 🤞🏻

We had one of our best days ever at CWOA this week. It was nice having room to move around.
I think the reason as to why chessington has allowed more visitors into the theme park compare to Thorpe and Alton is because they’re got a lot more rides then the other theme parks. However it is understandable that they should of really opened some of the rides earlier. Great vlog Shawn and thank you for vlogging some of my favourite theme parks in the uk to give me an idea of how they’re functioning and running. Great vlog stay safe 👍👍

I went to chessingtons on Monday! We actually managed to get on a few of their rides, it didn't take too long

how long would you say each queue was
For fast track one shots, do you know if you can only ride it once with fast track or can you keep using it the same day on the same ride
I went today. We got 9 rides in 6 hours of being there. Felt so great to be back

I LOVE THE VAMPIRE SO MUCHHH
I was there today, those coasters may be family rides but they felt so much more intense because I haven’t been on anything in so long. It’s unfortunate that Kobra was closed all day but it’s understandable and I still had a great time 😁
There was also a bay loader on the rides today as well

Park looks really fresh and great to see zufari working well. Yes strange that some rides don't open till later in the day.
Great Video, Chessington has come a long way from a zoo and the Magic carpet ride from the 80s. We are all merlin pass holders and can’t wait to go again. Is it possible to maybe do a bit more about the food on offer at not just this park but others you visit and cost at recording etc?We normally have pizza pasta but that closed at the moment with just take away. Keep up the good good work and next time we see hello 👋 to you in the park say hello back! My son and daughter Devastated you never said a lie when I saw you last year at Legoland and Thorpe Park. The thing I absolutely love about chessington is that they have different themes within the park like wild asia and land of the tiger. I still love thorpe park and alton towers , but they only have ride themes not land themes.
Alton Towers and Thorpe Park do have land themes however not as strong as Chessington!

I'm going their tomorow this has helped in what I should be expecting
They don't let to many people in its lots of people around popular rides my favourite is vampire I go on it loads

I must say that Ik this isn’t the Alton towers vlog but when in his Alton towers vlog it seemed as Alton towers was going to be very busy and different , but we went today and the whole day felt really fun and pretty much normal , queues where going faster Aswell 😊

Love all the snippets of info you don't hear from other channels.
Never been to or knew they had a spinball style coaster.
Would be awesome to see a video about twinned rides..... Or just rides that found a new home (black hole, thunder looper etc).
Didn't flamingo land have an identical corkscrew to alton towers at some point?
Would love to know where.....if anywhere you'd have to go to ride that now. As much as I adore 13.

They could just clean the rows that aren't being used then flip the skip and clean the other rows so they still get a runthrough before someone rides on them.
That’s definitely an option they could do

I went there about 5 months ago as well. it was much better than I thought! the social distancing was good considering the situation, everyone had masks on and I was able to go on a decent number of the rides!

Hi Shawn will yourself and Charlotte be at Chessington World Of Adventures, when it opens for the 2021 season in 9 days time. I will not be at the Park but will definitely watch vlogs and follow news updates from the first day of the 2021 season. I wish Chessington and all other Theme Parks a great 2021 season!!

Nice to see how the Parks are on top of the social distancing. Is it just me but every time i see the Gruffalo, I think of the Bubble works. I loved that ride, don't get me wrong its still is but for me the Bubble works and I am so glad that they kept the water fountains. Nice Vlog Shawn

Alton Tower's is also shutting at 4pm this week Monday to Thursday, We were there today and also they let far too many people in. Wicker man 120 mins / Smiller 90 mins and all other coasters at least an hour all day. Not good with reduced hours and reduced rides with big queue lines...... 😡
It’s certainly to early for the park to close with all these restrictions in place
HI there, thanks for taking us to all the parks with the new procedures now in place .... but don't know if anybody has asked this question or you have talked about this but can you still collect the map guides when you arrive at the parks, Alton Towers, etc. as i collect theme park map guides.
They’re all on download for mobile it seems at the moment

Omg that me and my kids in the bumper cars lol
I don't know why Chessy is closing at 4pm for the rest of the season (according to their website) but I reckon it might be something to do with the fact that there's a Covid-19 testing station there, and they need to be able to operate that while the car park isn't full of cars, so that might be why they're closing early.
