This is honestly my most favourite song of all time. I can’t put into words how much I love stardew. It’s just so eerie and intense yet so comforting. I’ve probably listened to this song more than 1000 times. It’s sad how I can’t seem to find other songs that hit me this way.

Every time I listened to this song I always imagined a drone panning out in a field with a group of deer running through very tall grass which would light up when they bushed up against it. One of these deer eventually died and throughout the rest of the song I imagined it’s body being taken back by nature, violet moss creeping up its antlers, mushrooms hugging its ribs. Moths wings imitating the moonlight.

Love this idea that they play with moss and algae since their album is based on water and birth and death! Love the artistic view taken! Butterflies are a great symbol of that life and death! Beautiful scenes and very cool too! I adore you Purity Rung so otherworldly!
Purity Ring always has this earnest beauty to it that not a lot of other music seems to capture. It can be stark and brutally heartwrenching, it can be achingly sweet, or it can have an all-encompassing dread.; often all in the same song. If you can accept that the gorgeous, albeit weird surrealist videos for what they are and search for the message that is trying to be conveyed, you always gain something and I feel like you can grow as a person because of it. Purity Ring is just such a fun adventure that when a new song worms its way into my head, I'm never upset when it wants to stay. I only pray they tour nearby again

There is something in this song that I can quite literally and physically feel in my soul. It’s really beyond words. It almost feels ancient, or primordial. Divine. Almost as if the words are recounting unfathomably old memories from millennia ago, back when everything began and the world and all in it were pure and true. Memories of a higher being which our souls were all once a part of.

Okay so this video made me sob. Let me explain... so I was adopted when I was 5 months old. I don’t know who my birth parents are. My adopted parents look like the skeletons after their face forms and they are smiling. They look exactly like a younger picture of my parents. The reason why this made me sob is because my mom passed away in November of 19. The baby at the end of this video depicts me. Some higher being created me to be the star of my parents life. A little ball that made their life complete. Seeing that right skeleton turn into my mom hurt my heart. i now do what it tells me to do you dont hear it but you can feel it. something pulling you here or making you go there. once i tuned into that frequency i could feel the energy coursing over my body and through it. whatever i need to better serve my purpose for it is granted. yes i may have to make it myself or work for it. but it always finds me when i need it and it feels weird but its nice to finally have something.
the last thing ill say is there is only one love. its only one. it knows no bound and its everywhere we look yet nowhere to be found. its a universal force as well and we all can tap into it. tune in and tune out the nonesense. youll be glad you did. i was so depressed man. like you dont even know for 10-12 years. in a few short months i became the happiest guy youll ever meet. people say i have the best attitude theyve ever seen. my life is peoples dreams yet it looks mundane and im a local celebrity in a sense. people stalk me out just to talk to me in parking lots and wait around just to talk to me. bruh i dont even like talking to people. but its what i was put here for. to impact every life i touch. good bad or for reason. you do the same and make your son proud to be your son. he/you can too be something great.

I've listened to this song hundreds of times since it's release and I just have to say:
This will never grow old and it takes a crazy level of musicality to make me say that. My tastes change/grow often but this one just keeps sticking around and by that standard I'm happy to name it one of the best songs of all time.
I have a short list of artists that could earn that title forever and Purity Ring is definitely on that list.

I absolutely LOVE everyone's interpretation of this video. Here's mine. Rosemary Ellen Guiley is a leading expert in the metaphysical fields and has written numerous books on angels and spirit guides. Those two entities or beings on the bike are like angels or spirit guides. They are the spirit guides to the two lovers in this video. Notice in the beginning that it shows that glowing golden ball then it opens up. That is the portal to our world where, they meet the lovers. The lovers in skeletal form show that their physical existence is: 1. Temporary and 2. Nearing the end of their life. They lay down together and have a final kiss, while their spirit guides are there with them. Thus, helping them ascend to their higher spirit form (notice the couple now wearing the red robes). As Rosemary has stated, angels or spirit guides help us get to where we need to be and I think that this is a beautiful representation of that. Everything about the lyrics speaks to me of lovers. "How you move, how you knew, hold me down hold me true". A love that knows one another inside and out; so strong and true. "Meant to bleed and bloom". Meaning we are here, alive experience our mortal selves only to die and bloom into our true spiritual selves. To share that with someone is truly something special. That's my own personal interpretation of this song and video. Absolutely stunning.
