Welcome the Africa's only Enclave. Lesotho
I take this journey from South Africa to my new favourite country (Well second after Namibia)
Lesotho is just a unique country and more so such a vibe with amazing awesome people.

As a South African, I am more than impressed by how well the average people of Lesotho can communicate and express themselves so eloquently in English,which is not their first or birth language but has to be learned...a true testament to their quality of education... which is sadly on the decline in my country. In SA today, only 1 in 20 African people can have these types of conversations in English. Pula ! Lesotho,Pula!!
Speaking English is not proof of education in Lesotho nor SA. You’d have to be really ignorant or/ and a European colonizer to say that. This is Africa we don’t have to speak English to be educated. Anybody can learn a language and English is a language. There are many educated people in China for example who don’t speak English
Why would you say their accents are American?

Former British protectorate, 96 literacy rate . A lot of people hold undergraduate degrees. Those who get jobs push until their Masters degree.
Well,beggars is everywhere my friend even in New York and I don’t know how you compare Lesseto with Ethiopia,you know,the population of Ethiopia 120,Millions people,and been the longest brutal conflict the last 30 years and still the fighting going on,imagine if Leseto happened like what happened in Ethiopia they cannot even survive,and you can’t see what you see today …Anyway,just google the history…

We share language with basotho, Sesotho is one of our official language, the freestate province next to Lesotho is a Sotho speaking province, Sesotho, Setwana,Sepedi we speak almost the same,we can clearly hear each other.
THE Whole 60% of South Africa is Northern/Southern/and Western SOTHO Speaking PEOPLE TERRITORY., LIMPOPO/GAUTENG/75% Mpumalanga/Free State and North West Provinces. are THEIR ANCESTRAL HOMES.

Although Lesotho is a small country, it’s still bigger than Rwanda and Burundi in km2 😂😂
Kish in South Africa, they speak Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho, Tswana, Pedi, Venda, Ndebele and Afrikaans. It depends on your region. These guys are Sotho so they will fit in easily in SA. The same with Swaziland. But Swazi language is similar to Zulu.
We also share languages with Mozambique (Shangani) and bulawayo (zimbabwe) sesotho, isixhosa, seTswana, isindebele, vendaSan.Botswana seTswana.

There’s nothing great or special about the American accent. That boy is too ignorant to realize that he is a sad product of imperialism and colonization. No American speaks like an Asian or African. So why should an African speak like an American?

Lesot people seem really warm
TH-cam vlogs are always superficial; usually coming from a few hours of visit with shallow coverage. Here the conversations brought up some depth.
They have a deeply South African English accent...Zimbabweans, Zambians, South Africans each have a distinct accent when they speak English...
I feel like I need to go to Lesotho now after watching this video. I've been to SA and Eswatini and was amazed. But this place seems like a nice place to relax and meet cool people.
You should definitely visit it. Lesotho is not to be missed

I also wonder if Lesotho has a story of why their country is so mountainous? On average it’s around 2000 m above sea level, can you ask around and see if they have any stories about why?
It takes a geologist to explain that. South America and some parts of Madagascar separated from this part of Africa. It left mountains and valleys.
