should trees often look like there are giants shaking them for no reason? Why are some of the tallers flowers and succulent looking plants.. and grass swaying like there are gale force winds. some of the plants look like they are headbanging in the breeze.. the plants look cool but the animation of them is terrible.
@@DjinnGSXR 100%, Maybe people who have never left a city or spend very little time in nature don't pick up on it as much but I spent almost everyday growing up surrounded by old growth boreal forest and the only time you saw foliage and trees acting like this was during a massive storm and even then in dense areas u still wouldn't notice it that much as wind wouldn't penetrate into the densw brush like this, it's very much like uncanny valley for me.

Picked up Avatar Frontiers of Pandora on PS5 and man the graphics are absolutely stunning! It’s the first game since Horizon Forbidden West that has blown me, the world of Pandora is so lush, the natural environment, lighting is top notch. Flying around on the Ikran is a treat, Far Cry Primal is one of my all time favorite games and Avatar Frontiers of Pandora captures the vibe of that game perfectly.
@@jipidydoo EA doesn't force anyone to use frostbite. That's why jedi fallen order and survivor were made in unreal engine. And there are many reasons. Most of their large game series like assassin's creed have their own engine and toolset specifically tailored to that type of game.
Idgaf if it’s essentially Far Cry but with an Avatar skin, the devs need to be applauded for insane visual work they’ve done on this game. I’ve only seen Avatar 1 and that was well over 10 years ago but I will definitely give this game a go because gah damn.

Developer of this game should work on building open world Halo game especially environment, vegetations, wildlife, foliage etc. with fully explorable Halo ring.
Everyone loves to bash Ubi but they do build some of the best worlds. That said, the lighting looks very inconsistent, sometimes it looks to do the movie justice and sometimes it looks very cartoony

Yea I agree. I haven’t played this one yet but Farcry 6 and AC mirage were two of the most beautiful games I’ve played in recent years. Imo Ubisoft has been the champion of pushing beautiful and life like graphics in recent years.
there is a mode called unobtanium which is set beyond the max anyone would be able to actually play it at. maybe a 4090 it can be playable, I think they put it in for future hardware I would guess, these clips are probably on that mode with a 4090.
Its a single player exploration game, so its fun at a slower pace. I have a 4080 , I'm using max settings . Just turn the fps down if you have issues. I turned it down to 40, sometimes less, everything runs great. Turning down the fps will get you better looking glitch free graphics more consistently, which is great while exploring and sightseeing.
The only thing holding this game back is sadly the low quality fog in the distance. Was it a bit more volumetric like in say, Horizon Forbidden West, this would be nearly perfect.
Looks breathtaking It's sad how it's become cool to hate Ubisoft but they still put out incredible open worlds with solid gameplay loops. (Released about half a dozen of them in the time it took them to release a mediocre cyberpunk 2077)
They got clearly some of the best artists and environment designers. Sadly the gameplay formula is nearly the same all the time with lots of filler elements. I think it is a mediocre game, possibly good and definitely nice looking.

@@pixelcount350no, GTA V, Red Dead Redemption, Forza, Far Cry 3,4 all have engaging gameplay even for outposts/checkpoints/side missions, the immersion is great. When the gameplay starts to look and feel like a chore the game would start to suck.
The game looks intense, & amazing. Hope the storyline is well written. Random question: With all that barefoot parkour going on, does your character ever "stub his toe," or "step in a thorn?" I would think that would kill your combat prowess considerably, unless there's some sort of med packs to remedy that. Game looks beautiful though!
There are all sorts of plants which impact your ability to manoeuvre. Some give your character a speed rush, some act as catapults or trampolines etc. and there are some who also hurt you like thorns which cover the ground, orchids shooting at you or even some plants which will try to electrocute you. Most of them are limited to certain areas or biomes however. The plant life is easily one of the best parts of the game.
No it doesnt in any way whatsoever lol. there are a few different biomes and your probably thinking about the windswept plains which are grasslands. they make up one biome of which there are many.
great models, great textures, but the post processing is super lack luster there is no proper ao, no proper color correction, the water is improperly shaded, the color grading is terrible the features are all there, but the polish that was in the movies, or in other better new games, is not and i dont think reshade would help it much, it would remedy most, but not the most noticable bits

Not every open world FPS game is a Far Cry clone people. It's literally not the Dunia Engine and it's not made by Ubi Montreal. It's the SnowDrop Engine and It's made by Massive Entertainment.

Digital Foundry call Frontiers of Pandora the next Crysis, in terms of open world graphical benchmark and I agree.
Crysis 2007, Battlefield 3 2011, Cyberpunk in 2020 and Avatar in 2023 are the only games to make my jaw drop.

Usually around 70 to 80 at these settings. The video capture made it a tad more framey than it actually was.
