How wonderful! Everything sings. Ginzburg lovingly devotes the time necessary to underscore Chopin's melodic genius, his contrapuntal elegance and architectonic structures. There are no concessions to flashy virtuosity, although Ginzburg's technique is flawless. There is no faster than fast or louder than loud to please the crowd. The fiorature are given appropriate weight and seriousness, not just tossed off as superficial ornaments. Ginzburg's rich tone and superb legato is the bel canto that Chopin so much admired and emulated. The young generation would do well to study closely this repository of the noblest nineteenth century traditions.

Amazing. Simply wonderful. What a priceless treasure was the Russian Soviet piano school of the '900!

    数あるショパンの即興曲の演奏の中で、一番好きです❤2番は大学入試の課題曲に出た思い出の曲。
    当たり前ですが、何という違い❕😅
    素晴らしすぎて、折に触れて何回も聴きたくなります🎉

Very fine, solid&sober playing, almost reminds me of a German than Russian expression.I've often felt a little disappunt with Ginzburg's recordings, for me lacking magic&poetry;clangy sound doesn't help him.Of course it's very personal, but i prefer the impromptus to have bejewelled flights of fancy with haunting distant meditation in lyrical sections. Here all is solidly anchored,earthbound... the bumpy, lumpy trills in Fant-Impr mid-section are more of an obstacle than a decoration.

You need to see a psychiatrist. This is poetry at its maximum, flexible, poetic, warm, spontaneous, well measured, controlled, well designed, like Cortot, except that Grishka was Jewish and Cortot was not.
