Awww! You can tell from "more look" that she was asking to go and introduce herself! Good mom for being careful about not causing a barking fit... but Bunny was telling the truth after all! I feel like that conversation was along the lines of "My mind will be set at ease about them as long as I can investigate them and make sure they pass the sniff test", which is a complex thought but feels extremely like how a dog operates.
@@orngjce223 thing is he already knows that when we say it, so he doesn't nag any more or less. An individual dog is going to nag as much as that dog wants to nag... it's just he does it with buttons instead of barking, which is AMAZING. And he got an "outside" button and didn't even need time to learn how to use it! :D I always knew this little guy was a very smart dog, and I thought dog-button communication was real, but I am nonetheless shocked at how easy it was for the little guy to learn it. And we can tell that it's sinking in, not just that we understand him, but that we KNOW that he knows that we understand him. That's the key that I think is unlocked by this new method of teaching dogs: it really does lead them to a deeper theory of mind.
No, it means she forgot where she left her ball. She has used forget correctly in the past too, for her ball and for others reasons. Once she started a sentence with "I..." but got distracted, and when Mom asked what she was going to say, she thought a while, then pressed forget. Once she reminded Mom that she forgot to give her her medicine, and she used both forget and remember. Either could be correct, depending on how you're phrasing it, but either way, it shows she understands those two words are opposites for at least closely related.
In the medicine clip, Bunny only used the word "Remember", not "Forget", and it is possible that "Remember" is just a second way to say "Medicine". When Bunny said "Forget" when she seemed to have forgotten what she was going to say, it is possible she wanted to be shown where some unstated thing was. Or maybe Bunny does use "Forget" and "Remember" correctly which is interesting because they seem more abstract than most of her verbs since verbs like "want" or "play" or "walk" produce results she wants. I have noticed that Bunny sometimes uses the buttons to describe her surroundings, not just to request things.
@@HaldaneSmith I'm pretty sure there's more than one clip where Bunny reminds Alexis to give her medicine. I did recently see one where she only used "remember". But I also remember one from a good while back where I think Alexis was about to leave the house, and Bunny reminded her about medicine using both "remember" and "forget". Of course I could be remembering wrong... maybe someone else remembers...? I think she does get the more abstract verbs and ideas, because of the way she's been spoken and modeled to since she was just little. And yes, many of the button-talking pets do like to just narrate and/or comment, for nothing more than the joy of communication, because they CAN. I find it all so fascinating! :)
@@TieDyeVikki Yes, I just saw another video where Bunny says, "Forget, Remember, Morning, Medicine". I think it is possible that Forget means "Show me" and Remember means "Medicine" so that could be "Show me medicine, morning medicine." I still want to see Bunny use these words in other contexts to be convinced she gets them, and it's certainly possible she does.
I used to like these videos of so called talking dogs ....but than I realized all most dogs want is to be Active, to burn energy, pleasing their owners and doing things they really Enjoy! But, so many think giving a dog love is ALL it takes? Which is True for many dogs ..... but they also Crave having a Purpose in Life just like us humans do!
I wonder if Otter exploring the buttons just then wasn't him going, "Look mom, I'm using the Bunny Talk!" 😝 Like maybe he sees Bunny using them so often that he feels as if they're *her* buttons, and that even the entire concept of using buttons to communicate is Bunny Talk. Is he doing a Bunny impression?? 👀 Dogs *do* have a sense of humor...
They don't seem to show any inclinations to form more complex syntaxes over time, it's always one to three buttons in sequence max if i'm observing that right?

At first I thought she lied about going to be happy , but she made a promise. 😂
Bunny works so hard at it...she looks totally devoted to learning humans.
I’ve never related to Bunny more when she goes to get her ball, walks a few paces, then forgets where it was or what she was doing 😂
Love that the cat wasn’t left out of the conversation.
Buns loves Cats 🐶❤️🐱
She kept her promise, now she should get $100 shopping spree at the pet store. 😄
That's the right spirit
100.00 or 6 new communication buttons!
Whole floor getting covered with Bunny's expanding vocab!
It looked to me like Bunny went outside and wasn't mad. Did you give her $100?
Right!? Bunny deserves to get her money.

Bunny is so precious. Her “talks” are pure joy for all of us.
I have never ever seen such a clever and amazing dog like Bunny. Wow. She melts my heart. I am so impressed. Best wishes. Love from Norway❤
Love seeing bunny and other talking. Vv clever doggies love from the UK xxx❤
Otter: Otter. Bunny talk?
Bunny: 🙄😴
total big sister dis!
Wooow! Happy…it’s amazing. Bunny was happy visiting the stranger and the neighbor.
You tell her she can't go outside, and she absolutely freezes, like you had paused the video! 😂
She freezes and gives a look of disdainful disgust, LOL. Really? You're telling me NO?!? How dare you.
Death stare if I've ever seen one 😂

3:22 that's the look my 14 year old gives me when I say no to something, too. 😂
I'm so in love with beautiful Buns! She's truly amazing.
I'm in love with beautiful nuns too... I had too! 😂💕
When Otter keyed *BUNNY TALK* he was sniffing his board and finding Bunny on his buttons. He was saying that Bunny used his buttons!
Do they ever talk to each other with the buttons?
I wondered that too. Lol
Good question! I wondered the same!
I think that they can communicate through dog language to each other.
I definitely remember seeing a clip of Bunny talking to Otter using the buttons. As for a conversation? Probably not yet.
@@Drujd That is pretty cool!
*Question:* do Bunny & Otter often use the buttons to communicate with one another, or is it a rarity?
This is my favorite video of Bunny, incredible.
It amazing how impressive what Bunny can do.
Otter getting Scritches
So Bunny says scritches on Otters board
Friendo doggo just got buttons. Within two days he doesn't bark to nag any more. Now he just hammers the buttons XD
😂
Teach "all done"!

Did Otter want Bunny to teach him to “talk” using the buttons? Fascinating.
Your pony is really cute and smart.
I definitely think at the end she was telling her future scritches that she loves them lol
2:12 I think you were brokering a couple's discussion 🤣
I do personally think that you could add a "failure to communicate" clip at the end of each YT compilation video you've talked about recently

WE LOVE BUNNY
Why haven't we done this long ago. All animals communicate. You have taught her to speak human!
Bunny always gives me the impression she is very frustrated by how slow all the humans around her are lol.
Bunny is smarter than any human I know.
She was happy when she got out, whipped her tail.

I think she sometimes forms longer sentences, but not in this compilation.
Her sentence length has definitely increased over time.
That's about what you'd expect from 2-3 year old humans, yeah?
Bunny has formed longer sentences, but it seems animals prefer efficiency in their communications. (Especially the cats.)
