MAN 26 361 (1985) with Eaton Fuller gearbox

  • The F7 and F8 series of the German manufacturer MAN were very popular among Slovenian drivers. But after three and a half decades since the end of production, they can be very rarely seen on the road. Bernard Drev went to Germany to bought one and brought it to Slovenia as a 10-years old used truck. It served in his construction firm for a full 26 years. After fifty years of work, Bernard decided that it was enough and retired. The truck is now parked most of the time, but Bernard nevertheless serviced it thoroughly in the winter so that it could immediately start working "full time" again. MAN is powered by a D 2866 engine with 265 kW (360 hp), which was extremely popular among drivers and is still (justifiably) appreciated by many today. In this case, it’s fitted in combination with the Eaton Fuller’s eight-speed non-synchromesh gearbox. Mechanics say that it is ingeniously simply crafted, almost indestructible, and virtually maintenance-free. Even if it the driver »grind gears«, it doesn't hurt it at all. It gives me great privilege that I was allowed to try out this ten-wheeled legend a bit. Thank you, Bernard!

    Schöner F8 Kipper, mittlerweile sehr selten. Der 361 mit Turbo hat einen guten Klang. Top ! Bin den Motor im 87er Setra S 215 HD gefahren - guter Sound und immer gut Rauch :-P

    Fuler je dobar mjenjač samo treba biti dobar majstor da ga šalta moze i bez kvacila ko mlijeko upada u brzinu a i pole ili velike brzine ide uz obrtaje bez kvacila ili sa kvacilom moze kako hoces sve ide-fuler dobar

    Imel sem M-A-N 15.192 F7 z nakladalnim žerjavom Meiller, 190 KM, 5 cilindrov, 6-stopenjski menjalnik Eaton-Fuller, seveda nesinhroniziran, in sem ga uporabljal za prevoz odpadne kovine skoraj 10 let.

    Until 1999 greece had many cement trucks of m.a.n with 361 engine maybe v10 or v8

    You rerely see those in the western part of Europe anymore.

    Is there any difference between MAN F8 series, Mercedes NG and Serbian FAP NG? Any advantages/disadvantages between the three, if possible?

      Mercedes-Benz NG and MAN F7/F8 are completely different trucks built in different German companies. FAP, a producer from former Yugoslavia, built their trucks according to MB licence.

    14 godina vozio sam kamione u usa sa fuller eaton mjenjacom sve najbolje mogu reci za fuller mjenjac i nikada nisam koristio kvacilo samo kada krecem i stajem nikada nikakvih problema nisam imao niti je kada kvacilo stelano mada i usa sve vise automatski mjenjaca a sve manje mehanicki mjenjaca mozda za 5 godina to vise nece ni postojati

      To mnogi kažu, ja nažalost fullera nisam punno vozio ali sam sad barem toliko naučio, da ide bez pjeska, A bez kvačila je sljedeća faza ...

      Pozdrav, za danas smo uspjeli samo s engleskim pa si možete pomoći. Dosta govorimo u dijalektu pa znam, da je težko razumijeti. Pofalilo nam je vremena.

    Čudno mi je da je 361.....i da je 8 brzina fuller...... Ja sam vozio 3×4....12 brzinski eaton fuller.... Samo duplo kvacilo i nema krrrrrrr😁😁😁.... Moze i bez kvačila... Na obrtaje...... To je bio 25 422 man..... Ovakvog istog kiperasa sam vozio ali je bio zf mjenjač....... Mislim da su ovakve verzije mjenjaca bez polovinki ugrađivane u slabije verzije..... Ovaj 361 morao bi biti sa 12-brzinskim fulerom......ili 16-brzinski ZF.....to je 85g... taj 8 brzina nije orginal od tog kamiona..... ipak je to moćan stroj....MOZDA JE OVO 26 240😉...... A ČIČA NALJEPIO 361.....ja bi ga znao po zvuku motora..... 361....fućka i dumi.... 😁😁😁😁

      Nije ovo fuller 8 brzina nego 12, prve 4 direktne, a veliku grupu mozes poloviti, to je org američki fuller kako ga oni zovu 13 brzina jer C racunaju ko brzinu, a 3x4 je eaton twinspliter koji nije niti priblizno isti ko fuller
      I da ovo je org 361 vidi se po povisenoj kabini radi veceg intercoolera naprama 291 i 331, a da je kako ti kazes 240 s naljepnicama od 361, to bi 361 odavno satra i minjac i differencijale od 240

      @@scaniamenr620... Kuzim.... Takvog sam vozio prve cetri direktne.... Druge cetri mozes polovit na treci polozaj i samo otpustanje i dodavanje gasa..... Takvog sam imao na 422 man-u..... Ovde sam onda krivo skuzio... Al ucinilo mi se da kaze da je samo 4 i 4...8 brzina

      @@scaniamenr620.... Sta se ti ce 26240...gledao i takvog... Isti je samo sta je imao zf mjenjac na šamar bez polovinki....... Ja sam vozio 361 sa zf 16 brzina...... Ali isti su bili sta se tice kabine....

      Ma krivo je reka 100%
      Nikoji 361, a ni bilo koji jaci od 281 nije nosio malog fullera, pogotovo jer bi ga 361 sazvaka ko za doručak
      Ovo je klasika americki fuller, puno bolje nego ono govno od twinsplitera :)

      Pogledaj malo bolje, jedino 361 ima povisenu kabinu, pogledaj resetke između branika i maske, viditi ces da je visoko montirana, kabina ko kabina je ista na svim jedinicama, samo su 361 i neki V10 motori imali poviseno montiranu radi veceg hladnjaka i intercoolera
