When I was 14 years old Roy walked into my classroom at Elverum Ungdomsskole as our new music teacher. I just about dropped my jaw to the floor as noone but me knew who he was. He brought with him the last album he made with Conception to one class, and gave us a listen. I will never forget that for as long as I live.

Hi Roy, I'm a doctor, and I'm also a speech therapist and this was actually my first academic background, before pursuing a medical career. Your voice is the most perfect voice I've ever heard. I attended deaf people, I needed a hermetically environment for the technique I used to develop speech in them. My ear was absolutely sensitive! Your voice is something unusual ! I do not believe on this planet a voice like yours has been before. I absolutely professional. At the same time I feel in your voice something very sentimental, very deep. You whas born to sing for the whole planet.

If it hadn't been for hearing Dan Vasc's cover of this song in celebration of Roy's return, I would never have heard it as I'd never heard of Roy, Kamelot, nor Conception before. Dan's tribute to him out of his enormous respect and admiration for Roy, especially for him being outspoken regarding his faith, made me want to research him more. After doing so, I have to admit that I also now share Dan's respect & admiration for Roy Khan as both a vocalist and as a Christian. I will be looking into more of Roy's music now and sharing with others.

These lyrics... it's easy to make fun of religion for superstitious storytelling, but take out the words lord, god, and almighty, and read them. And ask yourself if you've ever failed to meet your own goals, or got lost within your own pride or narcissism, or hid when you ought be walking through, or failed to see the love, seeing only the hate. This is the value religion really brings to the table. Thank you Roy Khan.

I first listened to kamelot back in 2015 thanks to my ex, this is one of the few thing that i have from that relationship, i loved kamelot so much but roy didnt just lef kamelot i cried when i knew that he would come back

Since I was younger, your voice has moved my heart and told me to be a singer like you but the world has changed and there is only small space left for the singers who sing meaning of life. My life itself isn't that bad so far, but as a singer I don't know where I should go from now on...

is great how this lyrics an be a perfect ending for all that Kamelot songs about looking for a meaning in life.. this song is basically an Abandoned epilogue.. and is perfect, i can feel that Roy Khan was giving a message on the albums from epica to poetry for the poisoned and here we can see that like he says when he left Kamelot "The good news is; God was there after all".

Nothing happened. They're still a band. A band that shifted (changed a lot) after something big happened. Not the first, nor the last to do it.
@@elite_m97 I feel that after Roy left, they lost all sense of lyrical coherence along with the fact that they didn´t decide to replace him with Tommy, but to make Tommy be like Khan - which he couldn´t do. Albeit Tommy might be a "better" vocalist, Roy has such a unique emotion to his singing and his ability to write conceptual lyrics is sublime. I watched Kamelot live last year and don´t get me wrong, it was epic. But it´s just not the same. I´m glad Roy left for his own sake, though. Just like Mike Portnoy left Dream Theater, the bands dropped in quality but hopefully both Roy Khan and Portnoy are happy with the lives they are currently leading.

I actually cried today listening to this. I found Kamelot in 2007. In 2011 you left and I lost ay hope to ever hear you live. Finding this song today has brought so many emotions to me today. Now I have a hope that I can hear you singing live again.

Roy, if you actually read this, I’m so glad you found what you’re looking for. I had a suspicion since you wrote many of the lyrics for kamelot, you related very much to Ariel and like him, eventually found what you were looking for. Epica and The Black Halo are still my favorite kamelot albums mostly cause I still relate to Ariel’s search and so many songs hit home and voiced my own internal struggles. Loved your passion and theatrics in kamelot. So glad to hear that voice again!!!

About a year ago, I came across the music of Kamelot, including your live performance of "The Haunting" with Simone Simmons in Oslo, I believe. I was immediately struck by what an awesome voice God had blessed you with. As a Christian with eclectic taste in music which includes progressive/symphonic metal, it is an inspiration for me to see you use your musical talents to testify of God's love and mercy "For All". Sinceramente no creo que regrese a Kamelot ni de chiste. En su más reciente entrevista dijo que a pesar de lo difícil que fue, jamás se va a arrepentir de haber dejado Kamelot. Y la otra vez sostuve una conversación con un chico de no recuerdo dónde y me dijo que los conoció en un Meet&Greet y que él le preguntó a Youngblood si aún estaba en contacto con Roy y le contestó de una manera muy agresiva que "no, y la verdad ni lo deseaba" lo que nos indica que acabaron muy mal.
Para que los quieres de vuelta juntos? Kamelot ya no es lo mismo, y no por el cantante sino porque las composiciones que nos han brindado simple y sencillamente no tienen alma. Yo prefiero mantenerne feliz y esperanzada con el regreso de Roy con Conception. La única manera de que yo lo quisiera de vuelta en Kamelot, sería con canciones compuestas por él. Paz.

Kamelot's songs, when you were still there, helped me to direct my imaginary to God. Some years later, after you left the band, I started reading the saints books and eventually converted to Cristianism. Your own conversion had a positive impact on me as well. Before my conversion I was drowned in all post-modern filfh and nihilistic garbage. In two ways I thank you so much. First, and most important, for helping me to direct my imaginary and feelings to God, therefore, helping me in my conversion. For this, now I have the possibility of saving my soul. Second, for inspiring me to follow my dreams. Now I am a singer, trying to follow your steps, and wish for one day be able of singing so well as you can. Best regards from Brazil.
