Tears in my eyes listening. He's the best rock singer of this young century... so far... Come Back Soon Roy! I don't care if you sing Gospel, Bluegrass, Jazz, or whatever, just come back and sing to us some more!
Wow, having Roy sing at your wedding, I wonder if these people realise how lucky they are. I still miss him in Kamelot or music in general, would love to hear him sing again.
Oh man... that gave me chills. What a talent, a man who is used to play with the best equipement in the world and with only a speaker and a guitar do this amazing performance.
Yes his wife is very nice. If you remember, please send them greetings from me and my family in Hamburg. We are christians and so happy that Roy & Elisabeth are born again - prayer works!!! Whish you a great time together. Blessings
So smooth, so full of emotion, so clean, .......so....beautiful! Despite his reasons, very understanding reasons in my opinion, I still miss him so much. His voice is so special and unique. He is my greatest inspiration for me if youre talking about voice control and performe your feelings on stage. For me he is one of the persons that drives me to practice my singing voice over and over. Roy Khan, thanks for everything.
I guess this proves he didnt have any vocal problems. Roy has magic in his voice and i hope one day he decides that Music and God dont need to be on diferent roads. All the hapiness to him and the couple of course.
Simplemente me encantó.

"The Fourth Legacy is the fourth full-length album by power metal band Kamelot. It was released in 1999 by Noise Records/Modern Music. It was the first album to credit vocalist Roy Khan as a writer on all tracks". Well, that was taken from Wikipedia, and most things in the Khan Era, including Epica and The Black Halo are credited as being written by Khan. Well, feel free to prove me wrong
Incredible! Church is a good place for him because he truly has the voice of God. Still, I would have picked a different song for my wedding. This is a sad tale about a woman who's lost her husband to sea, and hopes and prays that one day he will be returned to her. This was recorded just after Khan left Kamelot and proves that his voice was as sharp as ever. Many people claimed after some poor live performances with Kamelot that he'd lost it. I think it had to do more with the fact that he was just seriously burned-out having done the Kamelot thing for so long. So I sincerely 'hope and pray' that Khan will return in some form or fashion and sing us 'a song of prosperity' for his many dedicated and adoring fans.
databloom70 I agree , burn-out it's not just about voice I think . It's overall exhaustion from everything. I understand that he wants to spend time with his family but damn every single one of us are sad about that act.

Awesome, I'm christian, and the few not christians bands I heard was Kamelot, because of the excellent voice of Roy Khan, now I can hear both. I'm very very happy with this news. Now he knows God never abandoned him, (Jesus prayed this pray at the cross).
I'm so lucky I saw Kamelot with Khan in London on 28-03-2010. After the show I had a brief talk with him about reuniting Conception but he denied any possibility, unfortunately.
wherever Roy is right now, i only hope he is fine and enjoying some peace of mind and rest. Were wounderful years and we still apreciating that. I still loving Kamelot, and still loving this voice. One in a million, the voice of god.

Taking singing lessons from a professional opera singer since almost 2 years now I can tell to never haven't heard a better male singer before Roy Khan. Hope he will in some kind come back in the future. Wouldn't really matter what he further would make, I think with this voice I could almost enjoy every style of music.
Thanks PATRICIOSI .i as a mad Roy Khan fan was very concerned for him since his departure..i thank you so much for this BEAUTIFUL LIVE Ballad Gothic wedding song, it shows how good Roy's voice truly still is Natuarlly wonderful and effortless........ Hopefully one day he can regain his MOJO, and reform his own band with grillo and a few other members, maybe something less TOUR Demandi
are we never going to hear his beautiful haunting voice ever again, sob :( x a great loss to us all x and what a fantastic way he has putting words together, a poet xxx
His voice is total and utter perfection. I would give anything to have more hymns and ballads from Khan, but I'm glad he's in a space that's best for him and his health.
for those who believe in the Lord : he gives and takes, He works in mysterious ways. Maybe Khan, as Kamelot's leadsinger, had accomplished everything he had to do, and now, as Roy Saetre Khantatat, he has a new life and new goals !!
I only hope whatever issues he had did not make him want to give up music and singing completely... and that this video is not the last. Because that would be truly sad.:( Take care, our Pharaoh. Probably my favorite, the most beautiful voice in this universe.
Only we want him to know is that he's still inside our hearts. And that we are very gratefull, for all those years (of real art) he gave to us, and over all that he is inmortal to us, as Mariano Anaiz said. And if u can do this, we all are going to be eternally grateful to u
I appreciate your response! There's definitely an air of mystery around his departure. I remember Thomas saying that Roy would go back to his family whenever he had time off Kamelot, so family is definitely a factor. I agree, he deserves rest. No one can have a career that intense and not get worn out. I just wish it's temporary.
he sounds as good as ever. I has one cold winter's night on cd and dvd. is glad he is healthy. wish I had got to seem him live as a audience member but he is still 1 of my fav Norwegian singers
I loved PFTP, and yes didn't have that many high vocals as in EPICA, THB but again he proved me that he didn't need those things to still be amazing I thought before that him not being able to sing like that before was scaring me but the fact that I won't hear his voice again kills me. I hope you are doing fine Roy but let me tell you that you have fans out there waiting to be inspired like in all these years. If you are singing please try to share with us. God bless you man, you are the best!
I saw him live with Kamelot on The Black Halo Tour in 2006. They played "Abandoned." I was front row/center stage. I even got to meet Kamelot after the show. One of the luckiest days of my life aside from the day I met the love of my life.
Tell him that all his fans say HI! and that we hope he is doing great, that he is healthy and happy. Tell him that we still cherish in our heart all his music, and no matter what he is immortal to us. If you can actually pass this to him I will be eternally grateful to you friend. Regards
Roy's My FAVORITE singer along with Bruce Dickinson...Roy will be truly missed by many Kamelot fans and other aspiring singers out there:( but Best Wishes to Him and Thank You For Being A True Role Model For Me Roy:)
hi if you missed roy khan check the band SUNBURST their newest album "fragments of creations"...the vocalist vasilis gorgeou sounded like roy khan...he is the nearest voice to roy khan in metal industry...check it out..its like listening to kamelot with roy khan on vocals..
I think, that this video was uploaded to shup up the critics who said he has lost his voice. I can understand why they said that, because on PFTP his voice sounded a bit worn out in comparison to the older albums. But in this video, which should be AFTER the departure his voice is divine again ... I surely hope that he will take his time to recover and find out what pleases him in life, but I also hope that he will come back with new music ...
@itoc That's freaking amazing. I wish Conception would come back... maybe they will. I just want to hear him sing again. His voice is too angelic. Haha. I'm glad he's studying though. Education is always awesome!
It was hard to read about Roy leaving Kamelot, but now I am actually happy he did; those who have followed Roy during the post time of Poetry for the Poisoned knows that he has struggled with himself. He hasn't sounded like this for years, so confidently calm. I also support and give Roy credits for "going for his believes"; we shouldn't criticize his belief as we love the music which has several subtle themes about becoming a better person. Best wishes as always.
If angels sing, their voices certainly sound like that.
Rhoy Khan, the most beautiful voice on metal. Ever.
Leandro Freitas For me he has most beautiful voice ever not just metal . So much power , emotion and soul in him.
👍👍👍👍👍
I'd add Geoff Tate to that.
The greatest voice in metal of all time!

Can you hear the sirens resound?
From the coastline of Ireland tonight
It's the song of a promising heart
Of the souls that the ocean unite
And she stands by the window alone
Staring into the rain
She is trying to guide his way home
From the waters that keep them apart
So she lights up a candle for hope to be found
Captive and blind by the darkness around
Firm as a mountain, she never will mourn
Timeless awaiting the break of dawn
Can you hear the sailor man's hymn?
As it comes with the rise of the tide
It is sung where the rainbow begins
As a comfort for the tears she has cried
She remains by the window alone
Staring into the rain
She is trying to guide his way home
Keeps on praying for god to protect him
She lights up a candle for hope to be found
Captive and blind by the darkness around
Each wave a promise, a new hope reborn
Sunrise consoles at the break of dawn
El mejor que vi hasta el momento.
Espero algún día vuelva en gloria y majestad...

I saw him live with Kamelot on The Black Halo Tour in 2006. They played "Abandoned." I was front row/center stage. I even got to meet Kamelot after the show. One of the luckiest days of my life aside from the day I met the love of my life.
He's so amazing and talented.
listening to this brings back memories of better times :)

Tell him that all his fans say HI! and that we hope he is doing great, that he is healthy and happy. Tell him that we still cherish in our heart all his music, and no matter what he is immortal to us. If you can actually pass this to him I will be eternally grateful to you friend. Regards
I Really hope hear Khan again. It doesn't matter for me the kind of music.... he is an amazing singer!

Kamelot \m/
No matter where Roy Khan goes, his voice will carry us with him.
Miss Kamelot with him so much, one of the best singers I have ever heard!
Roy... Tu belleza es única!!
It’s interesting to see how he handles the mike in this setting…when I saw him touring with Kamalot his technique was different. Love him!
I really love this video, it makes me feel alive ♥️
@itoc That's freaking amazing. I wish Conception would come back... maybe they will. I just want to hear him sing again. His voice is too angelic. Haha. I'm glad he's studying though. Education is always awesome!
Wunderschön, was für eine Stimme..........
GOD how lucky is she to have him singing at her wedding....id me melting in my chair!
I love this song and I miss Roy from Kamelot soooo much...:(
roy is back with conception. full original lineup and no it is not a joke. tore posted it on his facebook page with roy.
Una voce unica in qualsiasi occasione ... Sempre ... Sri nel mio cuore !!!
Roy Chan I love his voice it calms me.
