Under rated and u are right, many people don’t like this simply because it’s skecher and for some reason Skecher feels like LA gear😂but I bought my second pair of max cushion and still loving it.
I put some decent miles on them and at the end had to return it. I was too “conscious” of my runs and my runs felt longer than they actually where. There’s something in that geometry that slows my naturally roll off if I mid foot strike. Not a fan
Loved the 3, 4, and especially 4+; except for the fast-wearing outsoles. Haven't had the 5. Total Clifton killer, the hyperburst is like nothing else. BUT, this version with the much heavier weight is a non-starter for me. They have the ABILITY to make an 8oz maxcush shoe with hyperburst and durable outsole but don't. If they did that, they'd be the upstart disrupter again.
Got mine in, ran 3 miles and sent it back. Not liking the departure this took from the MR previous versions. Long time fan of Skechers Performance shoes but this one is a miss for me. Too heavy, upper too hot for South GA summer running.
Skechers Performance... a victim of its own (bad) reputation of ripping-off other brands shoes before. They should re-brand and drop off the name and logo altogether. Like Jordan from Nike, or Xbox from Microsoft... something like that.
Why should they drop their name? Skechers makes great running shoes, and are the original Hyperburst midsole company, which others have tried to duplicate.

U are right about the wearing off but for it to be comfy and cushy, something have to give.

I got the ride 11 instead of this shoe. It looks like an orthopedic, platform shoe that I feel a little embarrassed to wear for a run 😅
That was quite a skechy review.
The Max road 6 gained a significant amount of weight for me 😢. First they didn’t have enough rubber not they look like they have too much lol
