I think Tabetha managed to safely go through the tree to the lighthouse because the lunch box Victor gave her had his house number in it, it's where Victor is From. Maybe they all need a certain destination with the house number to get through the tree safely and to the lighthouse. Maybe that is what the numbers in the bottles are.

I was introducing the show to a friend, and we watched the first episode together. While watching, I noticed something interesting: just before they enter Colony House, the jock creature (Name he has been given on the From Wiki) asks Julie, "Don’t you recognize me?" This immediately made me wonder if that is meant to Thomas. The line felt more significant upon rewatching, especially now that we know about the phone calls Thomas has been making. It’s a small detail, but I think it’s worth keeping an eye on!

A few things I want to throw out there: 1. Pay attention to when Henry is standing in front of the painting of the anghkooey kid in Victor’s room - look closely and you’ll see what seems like a map of all the faraway trees according to Victor’s memory. 2. Don’t most modern ambulance’s (like the one that’s now in Fromville) have ultrasound machines? Maybe that’s how we’ll find out if Fatima is actually pregnant. 3. Who crashed into Henry & Tabitha? I’m thinking it was that creepy priest, and we’ll see him again in future episodes. 4. I think 2659 is an address. 5. Kimono lady is going to show up in that Polaroid of Julie. people have been getting stuck in that town since before modern motels like that existed. I imagine the structures change and newer houses and buildings get drawn in too. im sure no one constructed these houses IN from and they couldnt have existed when the place was created
Here's my tinfoil theory. I think Marielle has been turned. I mean she's at least very sus. Randall still sees cicadas. Julie has talked about hearing voices/screaming in her head all the time. Yet Marielle, the last of the 3 that were trapped in the nightmare state, has not shown any long term ill effects like the other two have. Why is that? Is it because she was offered a deal in her nightmare state? And what's happened after? She has shown a lot of interest in Fatima's baby. She gave Fatima a mystery liquid in a dark jar in an earlier episode. Could that same liquid have poisoned the crops and linked Fatima to eating that (and worse...blood)? Now she pretty much has Randall all to herself. She could easily stoke his hatred of Boyd into something epic.

Also worth noting, she pulled the bullet out of that girl that was shot and then that girl went into cardiac arrest afterwards. She also did cpr on her on a soft surface couch, which is something that a pediatric nurse would know never to do.

I think the motel sign is just a piece of word building and eery background detail. It also draws attention to how insane everything is because Henry is new to town and us viewers have gotten used to the strange nature of the town.
I also immediately thought of Project Rainbow as well when I saw him becoming part of the wall. What a random connection, but the project is tertiarilly related to what the tree•port is supposed to do as well.
Notice the pentagram behind the Akhoui kid in Victor’s room, on the map he drew of where the faraway trees are. Looks like the routes or lines between the groups of trees are in the shape of an upside down star. That plus the date indicating a future date this cycle will begin again, proves the infinite/perpetual struggle between good and evil.
It’s so annoying that everyone in the show who, has information and clues, aren’t reporting this to the sheriff. They’re just sitting there all traumatized, not talking to anybody.
Dale was the only one who went through the tree specifically to leave the town. Tabitha went through to save the children in the tower, Boyd was instructed by the boy in white and Julie was told to go through by Victor to save her from the monsters.
I think the numbers in the bottles are directly related to where the tree sends someone, sort of like a coordinate system. Because Jim removed some after Tabitha disappeared, and then Jade and Tabitha removed several more, the tree no longer sends people to the light house. The relevance of the numbers may not be a location but they are directly tied to where the tree sends people.
I was speculating this or the coordinates speculation. Like the bottles were put in that order to get to the lighthouse and once they removed them they messed it all up.
Someone mentioned the numbers from the bottle tree could be room numbers from the hotel. Everytime they’ve shown that sign I’ve wondered where the hotel was.
Theory time: this does not change my theory about the monsters picking candidates from last week, however what if the missing motel is the connection between all residents of from town. What if the motel is some sort of doorway that pops up in different places and each resident has stayed in the motel prior to seeing the tree since they were all on a journey prior to arriving, like you check in and when you check in you swap dimensions ultimately leading to a one way trip to from town. The previous residents could have figured this out and the numbers in the bottles could be the motel rooms they were in prior to coming to from town. The reason Tabitha was able to get out was because she wasn’t brought to from town through the motel (they were in a rv no need to get motel when you are in a house in wheels), they were summoned differently. Maybe only the Matthew’s family can exit via tree and everyone else only ends up in different parts of town. P.S Dale wanted to leave town so bad and ended up a permanent fixture In the town.

A week ago i talked about randall saying that "dying isn't the scariest thing to happen in the town" i knew the monster kept him alive for a reason, Boyd also said that its a reminder for pretending to be safe during the day. Now that we have seen what the far away tree can do. 😂 poor dale.
A fun theory I have, wont hold up in time… but The entire town is inspired by hotel California. A place nobody can leave. They’re all prisoners of their own device. You can check out any time you like but you can never leave. Why the motel is missing, the entire town is the motel. Bottle tree bottles room numbers or something? Tabitha was in the hospital the camera focused on the elevator showing floor 13 which is typically not utilized in hotels and motels, or just skipped and written as floor 14. Idk just a fun theory (:
The actors who portray Tabitha and Jade have great on-screen chemistry. Any scene with Jade is great, but I particularly enjoy the ones with these two.

Everything in Fromville exists in cycles and as we continue to learn history and see plots develop we will recognize that our current cast are filling roles of previous fromville residents from past Cycles. Maybe the guy chained up to the wall was a Boyd (town leader) character from a previous cycle

Maybe the boy in white has been keeping Victor alive so that the cycle can't truly begin again. Maybe that's why the seasons are changing, because the cycle couldn't be reset
my theories: -The bottles are a way to narrow the chaos of the tree, taking those handful of bottles down got Dale in a wall. -I think Victor won't be super rushed to leave now, theres no reason for him to go back to normal life now that his remaining family is here. -I think Randall is meant to sew doubt in the people around Boyd. Him telling others that he was left out might make them doubt their sheriff. I'd be unsurprised to see boyd either use him as bait to trap a monster, or just straight old yeller him to maintain order. -I am waiting to hear that Fatima is PRESUMING she's pregnant, and am waiting for them to find some pregnancy tests in the ambulance or something, and she has no kid

Loved this episode, glad dale is gone. Lots of people pissing me off but he was hands down the worst. Lol, the writers are doing a good job of showing how people would be in a situation as crazy as this is. I have a theory about the far away trees. Of a non living object is put in to a tree it falls near by so you can see it happen but if a living being enters the far away tree it sends you to where your soul belongs. Tabitha had good intentions & is a good person so she was sent to where she can leave this crazy town and Boyd was sent to that chimney where Martin was so he could be tested because he is curios and looking for answers(Martin provided more info), Sarah was sent to the church because she wanted forgiveness and Dale was sent to his death because he was only thinking of himself. He was going to be the big hero, everyone will be thanking him the next day, he was filled with selfishness. Idk, I think they can be used for traveling but only by the right people
Glad you guys started with how horrific of a death that Dale suffered. My jaw literally dropped. New fear unlocked imagine dying due to cement wall infusion. Then Boyd’s performance immediately following that…what a great ending scene all around
The Faraway Trees take you places based on what number and object you have with you. Tabitha had Victor’s address and lunchbox. Boyd had the 1864 note and a lighter when he ended up in the dungeon. The night the monsters got in the Colony House, Julie had Victor’s drawings on her and ended up in the cellar room where Victor used to hide and potentially painted some of the drawings. I bet, Dale had something with him related to the motel (that is not there anymore), so even if he went to the lighthouse first, his final destination was the side of the pool. All the objects in the diner, saved by Victor, and in the Colony House’s basement will have some significance. This also plays in the why Tabitha/Miranda’s bracelet has traveled FROM and back. Same thing with Kristi’s painted rock.
Not necessarily a theory, but a hunch. I find it funny how Julie explained that she could both hear and feel «screamning» of some sort, coupled with the fact we never got to see the picture Elgin took of her, but we saw the picture Julie took of Elgin. I was half expecting Kimono woman to be visible in the photo, but there might be something on that picture of Julie if my horror senses are correct.
A recent thought that I had was that maybe it has something to do with “good vs evil” Tabitha used the tree to find answers and help everyone get out of Township. Maybe the tree knew that her intentions were good therefore it transported her to the lighthouse then the hospital, which eventually lead her to meeting Victor’s dad. However, Dale was so eager to use the tree for selfish reasons. Even though he was saying that he wanted to use a tree so he can get help and save everyone. But maybe the tree was able to sense that Dale’s intentions were only for his own advantage, therefore he ended up cemented to the pool and dying.
An entity controls the town... But there are rules it follows. The more hope it feeds of the people...the more bad things are yet to uncover The only way to free everyone is to save the kids... That's what they've been failing to do for centuries
My theory is that this Town is a test to see how ppl FROM different places come together under a extreme situation if they are able to put all their differences aside and work together to get out of this place , I think this place gathers ppl every so many years maybe it’s every 30 every 47 every 55 years , those are the dates In the bottles they are YEARS , those same numbers was written on the stairway when Tabitha was in the light house …I think this is why it’s taking SOOOOOO long for everyone to actually talk to one another and share their experiences, that’s the whole point of it all for everyone to come together gather all Vics draws share all their dreams visions and experiences like puzzle pieces it will all fit and solve the problem of getting out , the boy in white the kids all that stuff for just hints and clues to follow

My theory on Randall is either he turns OR the monsters made a deal with him to do something for them during the day. The monsters are showing they’ve been observing things in town and are more calculated this season. Harold Perrineau’s acting in season 3 has been next level!
So many details in this episode. I have noticed something really strange about boyd whenever he his alone at the station, he always looks at the map on the wall. I think he is trying to figure out where the town is actually located, i might be wrong tho. Also also remember jade told tabitha about the notes containing the numbers in the bottle tree, he said "what if they are co-ordinates". Hmmmm... Earlier in the show victor mapped out his hidden box which he buried long time ago.
I was searching 4 digit number sequences and found this cool one. It’s called the Kaprekar constant, or 6174, is a constant that arises when we take any 4-digit integer, form the largest and smallest numbers from its digits, and then subtract these two numbers. Continuing with this process of forming and subtracting, we will always arrive at the number 6174. Sometimes it will take 3 cycles but the max is always 7 steps. As long as they aren’t repeating (7777) So it’s a loop, that always ends with that number no matter where you start. Kind of like the town. I know it’s crazy and probably a stretch though. Another is that their fears come true. Ellis told them “I keep thinking that the baby is going to come out with fangs and claws” or my new theory for Henry and Sarah is that Sarah was originally told to kill the boy, I think the boy was actually in reference to victor (he’s obviously the key to all of this), but she says “I’d do anything to feel like a good person again” and I think that means she will sacrifice herself at some point. And Henry being there could be in response to Ethan saying that victors fear is losing someone he loves. So the town brings his dad there just to kill him.
Do we think Jade's odd behavior when he first arrived in Fromville was solely due to the trauma of the car accident and being intoxicated, or could something else be at play-like he was experiencing hallucinations, maybe even tripping on acid? Miranda's story about being on acid before she arrived, and now the recent preview for Episode 6 where 'Tom' tells Jade he needs to sober up if he wants to beat the town, really has me wondering if there's a deeper connection.
I say that the numbers in the bottles are their residential addresses, and you must take the residential address and go to the tree, because Tabitha, whoever entered the tree, had the box that belonged to Victor and his home address was written on it, so she went to Victor’s town.
I think this show is working off the Lost playbook. Some people were chosen to come here, others were just in the wrong vehicle at the wrong time. The boy in white, which I also believe is the same thing manifesting as Abbey and Father Catri, is able to bring people there somehow to try and help. The numbers in the bottles could represent the people that have been brought there that are capable of saving the kids from the tower or have any unique connection to the town. Like Tabitha could be the 2647th person to arrive or whatever. I think this is like a reverse "Lost" island. A place with darkness instead of light at the heart of it. It thinks people are weak and feeds off of their suffering. The Angkhooey kids' suffering is what keeps the place running. All the extra suffering from other arrivals just gives the place more strength.
I looked up the numerology of 2259 and it says it a Profound level of Wisdom at the Closing of a Cycle Skills and Wisdom is internalized and maintained in the dawning of a New Cycle.
What if Dale couldn't travel through the bottle tree safely because he wasn't "chosen"? We don't know for sure if Victor's mother ever went through safely or not before she was killed, but she was also "chosen" and she's the one who told Victor that the bottle tree was how to get to the children she was chosen to save. Dale wasn't, so maybe he wasn't allowed to travel to the same place?
Are they in limbo? Because of the missing motel. Are the bottles on the tree different coordinations? Before Dale went into the magic tree, Tabitha and Jade had taken some of the bottles down from the magic tree... could that be the reason for Dale's fate? Fascinating questions 🤔
Ok, I just discovered this. Now, I’m no math genius, but I just discovered the there have been numerous appearances of prime numbers in the show. 47 2659 (bottle number) 1069 (ambulance number) There’s apparently some connection in chaos theory and primes that can reveal some kind of secrets in the universe. Again, I barely understand it. But, I think there’s something there. We need to start paying attention to the numbers. To discover if it’s a prime you add the digits in the number and divide by 3. If it is divisible, it’s not prime.
My theory is that the numbers in the bottles are steps like Victor and his book to track the trees or remember where he left things I believe the numbers are similar and that you have to walk the correct amount of steps in the direction of the branch the bottle came from

I think the infinity sign with line in the middle means the road and reality itself. It is an infinity like when we’re awake and sleep. We diverted into different dimensions when we sleep but always come back to reality at day but this time the reality and dreams is dwelling or warped, metaphored by the cut down tree in the middle of the road. That’s why they hint that Victor’s mom see the place after using acid. It’s like a thin line between reality and other world.
Tabitha is on level 12 in room 2225 in the hospital...2659, I think its room numbers in the hospital, many zombies are medical in nature.. sorta leaning that they were all 'selected' from a hospital.
I think the trees are some kind of 4th dimension travel device and unless you have a specific location/time (the bottles) for the tree to interpret as an input or you understand how to use the tree correctly, then you will end up just about anywhere.
got a kinda long theory about the faraway trees!! i believe mementos/trinkets, the numbers in the bottles, and the intentions of a person is what makes the faraway trees work. TBIW told Victor to pick important things up for everyone after the massacre and bury them. also, i am pretty sure Julie had Victor’s lunchbox (maybe Eloise’s/his drawings?) when he told her to go through a tree during the colony house attack. and of course, Tabitha had Victor’s lunchbox. the hidden factor of the faraway trees could be intention (which is an important aspect of magick, if that’s how FROMville works). we don’t know for sure what Dale was carrying in his backpack, but his intention was really to save his own hide above all else. i don’t blame him, but i believe there’s something to it. TBIW guided Boyd and Sara into the faraway trees, and they ended up in separate places. Sara was on this trip to make up for the harm she did to others, and ended up in the church basement. Boyd was looking for answers to help the town, and he ended up in that dungeon-while it did cause problems & raise more questions, it also led them to killing and dissecting Smiley (which was good information to have nevertheless). as for when Julie & Victor escaped colony house: Julie was confused, but Victor convinced her to walk into the tree. he wanted to help her, which i think is why they were able to travel safely. i think the numbers in the bottles might be coordinates or addresses. perhaps miranda put some numbers in the bottle tree that would get them back home once she saved the children. because in the future, Tabitha goes in the tree, out the lighthouse, and into Camden, Maine-where Victor’s family lived. i believe a combination of the lunchbox (trinket), the bottles in the tree (if my suspicion proves true) and/or intention (“saving the children”) is part of what led Tabitha into the real world.
Every number carved in the lighthouse and in the bottles of the tree are years this cycle of good vs evil plays out, into infinity. It doesn’t necessarily have to have the month and day to fit that theory. This is ancient magic/sorcery or some kind of curse, after all, not a machine timed to go off at precise moments. Also, each cycle starts with a particular type of innocent person being forced to experience unimaginable tragedy in this place , and after that they begin to manifest certain factors that become important to the current cycle/round of this game/riddle. Part of me thinks there was some kind of ancient witchcraft that started this whole thing, but who knows why right now. It was definitely related to Tarot considering the roles people play in the town, and once Tillie brought it up I feel it’s a huge clue. One things for sure - if the townspeople listen to Ethan, Victor, Jayde, and Boyd, and all commit to their roles in this game, they can win and the curse would break.
The more things happen when Boyd interacts with them and he don’t die. Everyone will get suspicious of him and idk how long before he isn’t in charge anymore
What if Boyd somehow lures one of the monsters into the bus and places the talisman on the outside of the bus? Wouldn't that prevent the monsters from leaving the bus, just like how it works when they try to enter a house? I know this sound childish but lemme be ;)
When it comes to Randall still being alive, they want to use him to get the town to distrust Boyd. Randall is going to let everyone know (he’s already started) and people will turn against Boyd further breaking him. Boyd already escaped with his life while Tian Chen was tortured and killed in front of him. I would definitely be side eyeing Boyd once I found out he left Randall to die in the same week. Being in charge of the town is what keeps him going.
But he never escaped really, they know that the creatures forced him to watch and this happening to Dale I feel will reaffirm his authority because this happened right after Boyd told him to wait.
If anyone turns against Boyd because of Randall then they need to look at themselves in the mirror because what the heck have they done to help anyone? Why is it only Boyd’s responsibility? How could he have saved all of them? It’s irrational. And annoying

I watched a fellow TH-camr that covers from and he did like a quick research on the number Tabitha pulled out of the bottle 2659 correlates to an Angel Number. I thought it was interesting since she is supposed to be a savior and nurturer to those spirit children.

From this episode: 1. The numbers in the bottles are probably set the destination where the tree will get you. They are a coordinates, but might be entangled with some quantum things, so Jade will need to figure out how it works; 2. The camera probably has captured an "evil spirit" that's still attached to Julie. That's why they didn't show it in this episode. My guess it'll be Julie's face as she was in the end of season to, when they were chained to the wall;
Oooouuoowee what an episode. Of all the ways I expected Dale to go that was not one of them. At the start of that scene I expected him to impaled or cut up from his chest propped up or something else, by definitely not what we saw in the episode. I’m excited or next weeks episode…I hope they figure out how triangulate and configure the teleporting tree so it will only be non threatening scenarios at the very least, and then eventually they can specifically go where they need to go. On the point that Kenny brought up to Boyd about something more dangerous other than the monsters I believe those might the the bosses of the monsters or something, the guys leading the monsters. I suspect one of them was the voice on the phone talking to Jim during the storm when tabitha was underneath the basement. I theorize it’s similar to GoT’s white walkers vs wights situation. The wights in this case are the monsters and the white walkers are the voices that call during the day or something. We’ll see how that plays out
I have this theory and it may seem a little far fetched but hear me out…. So my theory is, Fatima’s baby could possibly be half monster half human, which would explain why she’s eating rotten crops and blood, and Ellis could be one of them monsters in disguise and impregnated her. I know it sounds a little ridiculous but it’s just a thought I had.
I'm starting to think at this point the monster characters that take human form at night were guests at the "missing motel'" not sure what happened to them yet or what made them demon creatures
When Dale went through the tree I thought he was going to fall from the sky like when victor put the rock in there. But him emerging into concrete was much more gruesome
I think 2659 is a date…February 6, 1959. The monsters are all dressed in 50’s/60’s attire. Perhaps previous reincarnations of Miranda/Christopher foresaw dates when significant events of Fromville would occur and left them for subsequent iterations (Tabitha/Jade) to find to help solve the mystery and find a way to end the cycle. The one they read out just happened to be the date those monsters were formed. 🤷🏻♀️

Boyd kills Smiley using the blood and we’re lead to believe that it was gone but how do they know that’s how it works??? Fatima gets pregnant right after this also, so I think that she isn’t turning into a monster, but she is carrying a baby monster because there maybe has to be a set number of them there and since they are presumably the only ones that have ever killed one, she is growing it’s replacement? Also names in shows and literature are always important. The name Fatima literally means "one who weans an infant" or "one who abstains" Our lady of Fatima is also a title given to the Virgin Mary… so she has a miraculous conception after being told she cannot become pregnant AND it happens after Ellis dad kills a monster and gives his blood to Ellis, who then gets Fatima pregnant???
I think the numbers are map coordinates longitude and latitude. I (sorry if you already talked about this I'm new to these parts haha) also think this is some sort of test for Boyd in particular why else would he have been spared...twice. I think the ones who were trapped in the caves will be the ones to turn but not sure what that will look like yet. I too think Mary will die or she will turn with Randal et al as she also was "saved." This will leave Christie and Kenny supporting your theory.

My guess is that From is Hell and the monsters are demons . They are trying to get out. The tree with bottles could be The Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. Sacrifices are made with the goolish children . Also there is a movie called FROM HELL with Depp. Lighthouses is a tower = tower of babel . We see another fallen tree that makes like a door into Hell, the crows are messengers of death. All these connections could mean something. I guess.
My theory is Randall is off limits to the monsters, they injured him but i think he is protected by the cicadas as he is chosen. Julie and Marielle are sleeper cells, Randall will be the hero, either to help them escape, fight or fall on the sword.
Im thinking it was Victor's mom who created that bottle tree in Fromville with the papers inside and that Henry may know what those numbers represent because he knows the bottle trees as art instilations his wife has done before.
Theory: Save the children is a bigger ask than it first appears. Perhaps the key to salvation for the townsfolk is to sacrifice a child to Ankooey. Sounds like a meso american spirit perhaps, where child sacrifices used to occur as they were seen as divine messengers able to communicate with the spirits. Ethan would fit the bill for this cycle. Perhaps the boy in white waa from the last. I imagine his sacrifice would reset the cycle and it would start again - yet the townsfolk may be able to walk free. The other option might be to choose to free Ethan and the other children by choosing to stay on. It would make a pretty dark choice and naturally divide the town if it came down to either saving the children bound to this spirit or saving themselves.
On Boyd trying to catch one or to know where they are hiding during the day... What do we know about the Monsters, they are slow, meaning they don't run and afraid of daylight. How about, while in the bus, in the crack of dawn, when they about to go back and hide, "Boyd follows the monster back to there hideout" they can't hurt him or they can't stay out that long for the sun is going out or even run... What do you think?
The numbers in the bottle tree are coordinates to select the next people to come into the town. Randall and the the other two cicada people are going to become monsters and so is Fatima. This is how everyone will die unless they figure out how to free the children, which no one seems to be taking seriously except for Tabitha. And Julie is right - the town is just messing with them but is never going to let them go until they do the right thing - free the children!

I think Tabetha managed to safely go through the tree to the lighthouse because the lunch box Victor gave her had his house number in it, it's where Victor is From. Maybe they all need a certain destination with the house number to get through the tree safely and to the lighthouse. Maybe that is what the numbers in the bottles are.

I was introducing the show to a friend, and we watched the first episode together. While watching, I noticed something interesting: just before they enter Colony House, the jock creature (Name he has been given on the From Wiki) asks Julie, "Don’t you recognize me?" This immediately made me wonder if that is meant to Thomas. The line felt more significant upon rewatching, especially now that we know about the phone calls Thomas has been making. It’s a small detail, but I think it’s worth keeping an eye on!

Don’t most modern ambulance’s (like the one that’s now in Fromville) have ultrasound machines? Maybe that’s how we’ll find out if Fatima is actually pregnant. 3. Who crashed into Henry & Tabitha? I’m thinking it was that creepy priest, and we’ll see him again in future episodes. 4. I think 2659 is an address. 5. Kimono lady is going to show up in that Polaroid of Julie.

Here's my tinfoil theory. I think Marielle has been turned. I mean she's at least very sus. Randall still sees cicadas. Julie has talked about hearing voices/screaming in her head all the time. Yet Marielle, the last of the 3 that were trapped in the nightmare state, has not shown any long term ill effects like the other two have. Why is that? Is it because she was offered a deal in her nightmare state? And what's happened after? She has shown a lot of interest in Fatima's baby. She gave Fatima a mystery liquid in a dark jar in an earlier episode. Could that same liquid have poisoned the crops and linked Fatima to eating that (and worse...blood)? Now she pretty much has Randall all to herself. She could easily stoke his hatred of Boyd into something epic.

I think the motel sign is just a piece of word building and eery background detail. It also draws attention to how insane everything is because Henry is new to town and us viewers have gotten used to the strange nature of the town.

Look at them searching in the woods and then they found the food and decided to go back. Happens a lot in this show.
I also immediately thought of Project Rainbow as well when I saw him becoming part of the wall. What a random connection, but the project is tertiarilly related to what the tree•port is supposed to do as well.
Notice the pentagram behind the Akhoui kid in Victor’s room, on the map he drew of where the faraway trees are. Looks like the routes or lines between the groups of trees are in the shape of an upside down star. That plus the date indicating a future date this cycle will begin again, proves the infinite/perpetual struggle between good and evil.
It’s so annoying that everyone in the show who, has information and clues, aren’t reporting this to the sheriff. They’re just sitting there all traumatized, not talking to anybody.
Dale was the only one who went through the tree specifically to leave the town. Tabitha went through to save the children in the tower, Boyd was instructed by the boy in white and Julie was told to go through by Victor to save her from the monsters.
I think the numbers in the bottles are directly related to where the tree sends someone, sort of like a coordinate system. Because Jim removed some after Tabitha disappeared, and then Jade and Tabitha removed several more, the tree no longer sends people to the light house. The relevance of the numbers may not be a location but they are directly tied to where the tree sends people.

Theory time: this does not change my theory about the monsters picking candidates from last week, however what if the missing motel is the connection between all residents of from town. What if the motel is some sort of doorway that pops up in different places and each resident has stayed in the motel prior to seeing the tree since they were all on a journey prior to arriving, like you check in and when you check in you swap dimensions ultimately leading to a one way trip to from town. The previous residents could have figured this out and the numbers in the bottles could be the motel rooms they were in prior to coming to from town. The reason Tabitha was able to get out was because she wasn’t brought to from town through the motel (they were in a rv no need to get motel when you are in a house in wheels), they were summoned differently. Maybe only the Matthew’s family can exit via tree and everyone else only ends up in different parts of town.
P.S Dale wanted to leave town so bad and ended up a permanent fixture In the town.

A week ago i talked about randall saying that "dying isn't the scariest thing to happen in the town" i knew the monster kept him alive for a reason, Boyd also said that its a reminder for pretending to be safe during the day.

A fun theory I have, wont hold up in time… but The entire town is inspired by hotel California. A place nobody can leave. They’re all prisoners of their own device. You can check out any time you like but you can never leave. Why the motel is missing, the entire town is the motel. Bottle tree bottles room numbers or something? Tabitha was in the hospital the camera focused on the elevator showing floor 13 which is typically not utilized in hotels and motels, or just skipped and written as floor 14. Idk just a fun theory (:

Everything in Fromville exists in cycles and as we continue to learn history and see plots develop we will recognize that our current cast are filling roles of previous fromville residents from past Cycles. Maybe the guy chained up to the wall was a Boyd (town leader) character from a previous cycle

@bellaherna1 So I guess the idea is that Victor is the last person from the previous cycle and it's been slowly starting over. Maybe the boy in white has been keeping Victor alive so that the cycle can't truly begin again. Maybe that's why the seasons are changing, because the cycle couldn't be reset
my theories:
-The bottles are a way to narrow the chaos of the tree, taking those handful of bottles down got Dale in a wall.
-I think Victor won't be super rushed to leave now, theres no reason for him to go back to normal life now that his remaining family is here.
-I think Randall is meant to sew doubt in the people around Boyd. Him telling others that he was left out might make them doubt their sheriff. I'd be unsurprised to see boyd either use him as bait to trap a monster, or just straight old yeller him to maintain order.
-I am waiting to hear that Fatima is PRESUMING she's pregnant, and am waiting for them to find some pregnancy tests in the ambulance or something, and she has no kid

Loved this episode, glad dale is gone. Lots of people pissing me off but he was hands down the worst. Lol, the writers are doing a good job of showing how people would be in a situation as crazy as this is. I have a theory about the far away trees. Of a non living object is put in to a tree it falls near by so you can see it happen but if a living being enters the far away tree it sends you to where your soul belongs. Tabitha had good intentions & is a good person so she was sent to where she can leave this crazy town and Boyd was sent to that chimney where Martin was so he could be tested because he is curios and looking for answers(Martin provided more info), Sarah was sent to the church because she wanted forgiveness and Dale was sent to his death because he was only thinking of himself. He was going to be the big hero, everyone will be thanking him the next day, he was filled with selfishness. Idk, I think they can be used for traveling but only by the right people
Glad you guys started with how horrific of a death that Dale suffered. My jaw literally dropped. New fear unlocked imagine dying due to cement wall infusion. Then Boyd’s performance immediately following that…what a great ending scene all around

The Faraway Trees take you places based on what number and object you have with you. Tabitha had Victor’s address and lunchbox. Boyd had the 1864 note and a lighter when he ended up in the dungeon.
The night the monsters got in the Colony House, Julie had Victor’s drawings on her and ended up in the cellar room where Victor used to hide and potentially painted some of the drawings. I bet, Dale had something with him related to the motel (that is not there anymore), so even if he went to the lighthouse first, his final destination was the side of the pool.
All the objects in the diner, saved by Victor, and in the Colony House’s basement will have some significance. This also plays in the why Tabitha/Miranda’s bracelet has traveled FROM and back. Same thing with Kristi’s painted rock.
Not necessarily a theory, but a hunch. I find it funny how Julie explained that she could both hear and feel «screamning» of some sort, coupled with the fact we never got to see the picture Elgin took of her, but we saw the picture Julie took of Elgin. I was half expecting Kimono woman to be visible in the photo, but there might be something on that picture of Julie if my horror senses are correct.
The water slipping through the hand's line reminded me of the kimono girl who literally had water dripping from her hands.

A recent thought that I had was that maybe it has something to do with “good vs evil”
Tabitha used the tree to find answers and help everyone get out of Township. Maybe the tree knew that her intentions were good therefore it transported her to the lighthouse then the hospital, which eventually lead her to meeting Victor’s dad.
However, Dale was so eager to use the tree for selfish reasons. Even though he was saying that he wanted to use a tree so he can get help and save everyone. But maybe the tree was able to sense that Dale’s intentions were only for his own advantage, therefore he ended up cemented to the pool and dying.
An entity controls the town... But there are rules it follows.
The more hope it feeds of the people...the more bad things are yet to uncover

My theory is that this Town is a test to see how ppl FROM different places come together under a extreme situation if they are able to put all their differences aside and work together to get out of this place , I think this place gathers ppl every so many years maybe it’s every 30 every 47 every 55 years , those are the dates In the bottles they are YEARS , those same numbers was written on the stairway when Tabitha was in the light house …I think this is why it’s taking SOOOOOO long for everyone to actually talk to one another and share their experiences, that’s the whole point of it all for everyone to come together gather all Vics draws share all their dreams visions and experiences like puzzle pieces it will all fit and solve the problem of getting out , the boy in white the kids all that stuff for just hints and clues to follow

I was searching 4 digit number sequences and found this cool one. It’s called the Kaprekar constant, or 6174, is a constant that arises when we take any 4-digit integer, form the largest and smallest numbers from its digits, and then subtract these two numbers. Continuing with this process of forming and subtracting, we will always arrive at the number 6174. Sometimes it will take 3 cycles but the max is always 7 steps. As long as they aren’t repeating (7777)
So it’s a loop, that always ends with that number no matter where you start. Kind of like the town. I know it’s crazy and probably a stretch though. Another is that their fears come true. Ellis told them “I keep thinking that the baby is going to come out with fangs and claws” or my new theory for Henry and Sarah is that Sarah was originally told to kill the boy, I think the boy was actually in reference to victor (he’s obviously the key to all of this), but she says “I’d do anything to feel like a good person again” and I think that means she will sacrifice herself at some point. And Henry being there could be in response to Ethan saying that victors fear is losing someone he loves. So the town brings his dad there just to kill him.
Do we think Jade's odd behavior when he first arrived in Fromville was solely due to the trauma of the car accident and being intoxicated, or could something else be at play-like he was experiencing hallucinations, maybe even tripping on acid? Miranda's story about being on acid before she arrived, and now the recent preview for Episode 6 where 'Tom' tells Jade he needs to sober up if he wants to beat the town, really has me wondering if there's a deeper connection.
I say that the numbers in the bottles are their residential addresses, and you must take the residential address and go to the tree, because Tabitha, whoever entered the tree, had the box that belonged to Victor and his home address was written on it, so she went to Victor’s town.
I think this show is working off the Lost playbook. Some people were chosen to come here, others were just in the wrong vehicle at the wrong time. The boy in white, which I also believe is the same thing manifesting as Abbey and Father Catri, is able to bring people there somehow to try and help. The numbers in the bottles could represent the people that have been brought there that are capable of saving the kids from the tower or have any unique connection to the town. Like Tabitha could be the 2647th person to arrive or whatever. I think this is like a reverse "Lost" island. A place with darkness instead of light at the heart of it. It thinks people are weak and feeds off of their suffering. The Angkhooey kids' suffering is what keeps the place running. All the extra suffering from other arrivals just gives the place more strength.
I looked up the numerology of 2259 and it says it a Profound level of Wisdom at the Closing of a Cycle Skills and Wisdom is internalized and maintained in the dawning of a New Cycle.

What if Dale couldn't travel through the bottle tree safely because he wasn't "chosen"? We don't know for sure if Victor's mother ever went through safely or not before she was killed, but she was also "chosen" and she's the one who told Victor that the bottle tree was how to get to the children she was chosen to save. Dale wasn't, so maybe he wasn't allowed to travel to the same place?

There’s apparently some connection in chaos theory and primes that can reveal some kind of secrets in the universe. Again, I barely understand it. But, I think there’s something there. We need to start paying attention to the numbers. To discover if it’s a prime you add the digits in the number and divide by 3. If it is divisible, it’s not prime.
The thing moving around is either- Eloise, Christopher or a big scary spider
My theory is that the numbers in the bottles are steps like Victor and his book to track the trees or remember where he left things I believe the numbers are similar and that you have to walk the correct amount of steps in the direction of the branch the bottle came from

We diverted into different dimensions when we sleep but always come back to reality at day but this time the reality and dreams is dwelling or warped, metaphored by the cut down tree in the middle of the road.

I think the trees are some kind of 4th dimension travel device and unless you have a specific location/time (the bottles) for the tree to interpret as an input or you understand how to use the tree correctly, then you will end up just about anywhere.

as for when Julie & Victor escaped colony house: Julie was confused, but Victor convinced her to walk into the tree. he wanted to help her, which i think is why they were able to travel safely.

It doesn’t necessarily have to have the month and day to fit that theory. This is ancient magic/sorcery or some kind of curse, after all, not a machine timed to go off at precise moments.
Also, each cycle starts with a particular type of innocent person being forced to experience unimaginable tragedy in this place , and after that they begin to manifest certain factors that become important to the current cycle/round of this game/riddle.
Part of me thinks there was some kind of ancient witchcraft that started this whole thing, but who knows why right now. It was definitely related to Tarot considering the roles people play in the town, and once Tillie brought it up I feel it’s a huge clue. One things for sure - if the townspeople listen to Ethan, Victor, Jayde, and Boyd, and all commit to their roles in this game, they can win and the curse would break.
The more things happen when Boyd interacts with them and he don’t die. Everyone will get suspicious of him and idk how long before he isn’t in charge anymore
What if Boyd somehow lures one of the monsters into the bus and places the talisman on the outside of the bus? Wouldn't that prevent the monsters from leaving the bus, just like how it works when they try to enter a house? I know this sound childish but lemme be ;)

When it comes to Randall still being alive, they want to use him to get the town to distrust Boyd. Randall is going to let everyone know (he’s already started) and people will turn against Boyd further breaking him. Boyd already escaped with his life while Tian Chen was tortured and killed in front of him. I would definitely be side eyeing Boyd once I found out he left Randall to die in the same week. Being in charge of the town is what keeps him going.
But he never escaped really, they know that the creatures forced him to watch and this happening to Dale I feel will reaffirm his authority because this happened right after Boyd told him to wait.
If anyone turns against Boyd because of Randall then they need to look at themselves in the mirror because what the heck have they done to help anyone? Why is it only Boyd’s responsibility? How could he have saved all of them? It’s irrational. And annoying

1. The numbers in the bottles are probably set the destination where the tree will get you. They are a coordinates, but might be entangled with some quantum things, so Jade will need to figure out how it works;
2. The camera probably has captured an "evil spirit" that's still attached to Julie. That's why they didn't show it in this episode. My guess it'll be Julie's face as she was in the end of season to, when they were chained to the wall;
Oooouuoowee what an episode. Of all the ways I expected Dale to go that was not one of them. At the start of that scene I expected him to impaled or cut up from his chest propped up or something else, by definitely not what we saw in the episode. I’m excited or next weeks episode…I hope they figure out how triangulate and configure the teleporting tree so it will only be non threatening scenarios at the very least, and then eventually they can specifically go where they need to go.
On the point that Kenny brought up to Boyd about something more dangerous other than the monsters I believe those might the the bosses of the monsters or something, the guys leading the monsters. I suspect one of them was the voice on the phone talking to Jim during the storm when tabitha was underneath the basement. I theorize it’s similar to GoT’s white walkers vs wights situation. The wights in this case are the monsters and the white walkers are the voices that call during the day or something. We’ll see how that plays out

I have this theory and it may seem a little far fetched but hear me out….
So my theory is, Fatima’s baby could possibly be half monster half human, which would explain why she’s eating rotten crops and blood, and Ellis could be one of them monsters in disguise and impregnated her. I know it sounds a little ridiculous but it’s just a thought I had.

When Dale went through the tree I thought he was going to fall from the sky like when victor put the rock in there. But him emerging into concrete was much more gruesome
I think 2659 is a date…February 6, 1959. The monsters are all dressed in 50’s/60’s attire.
Perhaps previous reincarnations of Miranda/Christopher foresaw dates when significant events of Fromville would occur and left them for subsequent iterations (Tabitha/Jade) to find to help solve the mystery and find a way to end the cycle. The one they read out just happened to be the date those monsters were formed. 🤷🏻♀️

Boyd kills Smiley using the blood and we’re lead to believe that it was gone but how do they know that’s how it works??? Fatima gets pregnant right after this also, so I think that she isn’t turning into a monster, but she is carrying a baby monster because there maybe has to be a set number of them there and since they are presumably the only ones that have ever killed one, she is growing it’s replacement? Also names in shows and literature are always important. The name Fatima literally means "one who weans an infant" or "one who abstains" Our lady of Fatima is also a title given to the Virgin Mary… so she has a miraculous conception after being told she cannot become pregnant AND it happens after Ellis dad kills a monster and gives his blood to Ellis, who then gets Fatima pregnant???
I think the numbers are map coordinates longitude and latitude. I (sorry if you already talked about this I'm new to these parts haha) also think this is some sort of test for Boyd in particular why else would he have been spared...twice. I think the ones who were trapped in the caves will be the ones to turn but not sure what that will look like yet. I too think Mary will die or she will turn with Randal et al as she also was "saved." This will leave Christie and Kenny supporting your theory.

My theory is Randall is off limits to the monsters, they injured him but i think he is protected by the cicadas as he is chosen. Julie and Marielle are sleeper cells, Randall will be the hero, either to help them escape, fight or fall on the sword.
Im thinking it was Victor's mom who created that bottle tree in Fromville with the papers inside and that Henry may know what those numbers represent because he knows the bottle trees as art instilations his wife has done before.
Theory: Save the children is a bigger ask than it first appears. Perhaps the key to salvation for the townsfolk is to sacrifice a child to Ankooey. Sounds like a meso american spirit perhaps, where child sacrifices used to occur as they were seen as divine messengers able to communicate with the spirits.
Ethan would fit the bill for this cycle. Perhaps the boy in white waa from the last. I imagine his sacrifice would reset the cycle and it would start again - yet the townsfolk may be able to walk free.
The other option might be to choose to free Ethan and the other children by choosing to stay on. It would make a pretty dark choice and naturally divide the town if it came down to either saving the children bound to this spirit or saving themselves.
On Boyd trying to catch one or to know where they are hiding during the day... What do we know about the Monsters, they are slow, meaning they don't run and afraid of daylight. How about, while in the bus, in the crack of dawn, when they about to go back and hide, "Boyd follows the monster back to there hideout" they can't hurt him or they can't stay out that long for the sun is going out or even run... What do you think?
The numbers in the bottle tree are coordinates to select the next people to come into the town. Randall and the the other two cicada people are going to become monsters and so is Fatima. This is how everyone will die unless they figure out how to free the children, which no one seems to be taking seriously except for Tabitha. And Julie is right - the town is just messing with them but is never going to let them go until they do the right thing - free the children!
