I bought a box of this kind from T & T in Toronto as I misread the price tag although I don't regret the purchase. Regarding the snow skin moon cake, I think it is created by a brand in Hongkong, Taipan. The price of that brand Stu bought online is slightly higher as it is made in the UK. I am originally from HK so I can tell you the snow skin mooncake was originally started in HK, which resembles to Japanese moochi at that time. It started during the 80s. The Maxim lava custard mooncake is also from HK which is very popular as a non-traditional mooncake when compared to the traditional southern Chinese mooncake that are mostly sold in HK. It is recommended that the lava custard mooncake is best to be served warm by reheating it in an oven or microwave for 30 seconds.
moochi originated in China centuries ago. Can find this kind of traditional softskin delicacies in south east asia as the chinese who came to settle in this region hundreds yrs ago naturally brought along their food culture .

冰皮是香港美心品牌最先做出来的，因为香港离广东很近，后来广东就有了很多美心的店，所以基本还是广东卖的比较多。但是现在网上买，哪里都可以吃到，看个人口味
冰皮月饼自己做很方便，所以diy很流行，家庭一般都自己做，但好腻，不管甜不甜都好腻。我们江浙地区民间传统吃酥皮月饼，我奶奶做就做传统的，赠礼还是买的广式月饼，那种才有包装。还没有试过鲜肉月饼、火腿月饼，听说很好吃，明年试试，我是吃够冰皮月饼了，到现在嗓子还发腻，糯米外皮不好。不知道有没有鲜花月饼，云南的鲜花饼挺好吃，做成月饼也很不错。
