Really glad you saw that tactic, could have played the bishop move one move before rac1 because it's an intermezzo and queen also defends the c2 pawn once the bishop clears out! Maybe the analysis says black can refute but I haven't gotten there yet!
Nice thought through tactical analysis! Great game! I’m sensing you are gong to announce your plan for the world chess championship tomorrow? Love the games been watching since day 80.
If instead of a3 you had moved the rook to guard the bishop, you could have gone Ne4 with a discovered attack on the queen so it would have had to move meaning you could go Qxg4 and the knight would be in the way of the rook which was previously guarding it.
Since day one you have increased an average of 0.2 ELO each day and although this is slow progress (2750 days or 7.5 years to go) that's 0.2 ELO more per day, over 1300, than your detractors.
All praise to you, but the last games you win mainly by weird blunders of the opponents. I understand that it is part of the 1400 level: one time you blunder, the other time the other. For 1800+ players it remains painful to see this day in day out….
Why do you watch? Genuinely curious because I'm 1300 and watching an 800 player would indeed be torturous, so I don't do that. I don't even watch Patrick but these vids keep popping up in my recommended and reading the comments is fun.
First. Boom. Good luck, buddy! Post game: Nice job finding that tactic at the end there. Well done. Fun fact! I just read that the Scandinavian Defense was first played in 1425 or something like that. How cool is that? 600 years!!
World Chess Championship ❌ Patrick Gameplay ✅
You are too kind Pawn :)
As soon as the rook went to the center of the board the writing was on the wall. Tactical stupidity that Patrick punished.
Omg the last few moves were so painful to watch. And not even Patrick’s fault this time!
wow its a nice relaxing video!!! love from Canada
The moment of silence for Dr Senju was hilarious

ah the rook is trapped and can't retreat on the d-file when you played it, it worked out better. I stand corrected!

Good game, Patrick
You're an inspiration. Keep it up.

You enjoy pain, then?

Put yourself in the 1400 perspective. Adjust expectation in your brain

and for a IM you play painfully, so sit down
Great win
Well played
