Agree. The Bible Project has lots to offer. I listen to a Podcast- “The Bible in a Year” with Fr. Mike Schmitz…. Read the Bible daily (15-20 min) per day then he explains scripture and how it applies to our lives today. God is good.

When you find your self in such situation; it means you spend more time on other things that are not Godly. Your busy with may be fashion, movies, TVs non Christian books and so on, find out what takes the greatest time of the day. then change and give God the greatest time as in prayer, reading the bible or christian books, do songs, do your work with a praise and worship song in the background and let what excites you be Godly and your prayer life will be so amazing. delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4.
It might also be the translation you use. I tried using the KJV for a long time but its language honestly comes off as archaic, making it extremely hard to understand. You spend so much time grapling with specific terms and sentences that you end up losing sight of the actual message being conveyed most of the time. I reccomend the NIV and RECV.

I had never even taken into consideration that I could write out my prayers to God. I've never prayed consistently, and because of that I've always felt so much pressure when trying to pray out loud of even just in my thoughts. I'll be writing out prayers to strengthen my relationship with God and my comfort of speaking out loud to Him. I've wanted so badly to feel comfort in his presence rather than anxiety for "not believing enough" but I finally feel ready to put in the effort to open my side of communication. I want you to know that you're not alone. God, your Heavenly Father wants you to be close to Him, even more than you desire it. He's not judging you at all. Instead, His heart is breaking because of how sad and lost you're feeling. Just subbed. I learn to pray over a period of time strengthening my relation w/ God & maturing spiritually. I came across a book of prayers, I read it every day, the prayers until I found myself not having to write them down. Growing up very shy, I would never pray in Public, that has passed as I matured. I 1st prayed publicly for my sister in a train station. Lately, I prayed in a Zoom session on my Birthday, if I can clip out the prayer, I'll share it with you some day. Glad that you are doing this to help others.

I have not had a prayer life in years. I was raised in holiness but left the place where it was God & me all the time. I want that feeling of being close to Him again. So much has happened in between leaving that place. I question myself, can I get it back & will God honor that I want it back. Disobedience, bad relationships, not reading my Word, is just some of the things I have done since I left that place with God.

I had never even taken into consideration that I could write out my prayers to God. I've never prayed consistently, and because of that I've always felt so much pressure when trying to pray out loud of even just in my thoughts. I'll be writing out prayers to strengthen my relationship with God and my comfort of speaking out loud to Him. I've wanted so badly to feel comfort in his presence rather than anxiety for "not believing enough" but I finally feel ready to put in the effort to open my side of communication. Just subbed. I learn to pray over a period of time strengthening my relation w/ God & maturing spiritually. I came across a book of prayers, I read it every day, the prayers until I found myself not having to write them down. Growing up very shy, I would never pray in Public, that has passed as I matured. I 1st prayed publicly for my sister in a train station. Lately, I prayed in a Zoom session on my Birthday, if I can clip out the prayer, I'll share it with you some day. Glad that you are doing this to help others.
i was raised a Catholic but didn't really pay much attention to it since my grandma is the only one in the family who still keeps up with religion. but I've always found myself crossing myself when going past churches, when something bad happened, and i still do pray sometimes. I guess god has stayed in my heart after all these years of neglecting what i am... Right now, i wanna pray so that my boyfriend can have a good night's sleep, he's an insomniac...

I have not had a prayer life in years. I was raised in holiness but left the place where it was God & me all the time. I want that feeling of being close to Him again. So much has happened in between leaving that place. I question myself, can I get it back & will God honor that I want it back. Disobedience, bad relationships, not reading my Word, is just some of the things I have done since I left that place with God.
