They did War an injustice by not using the combat scenes
Finally, using 'Indian movies" instead of Bolywood because RRR, PS1, KGF 2, Vikram and Baahubali are South Indian movies. Also budget for these movies are fraction of Hollywood action movies but still they are so well done especially RRR with those practical set pieces. Dude WTF is Hrudaya kaleyam doing here - its a PARODY C grade film and noone even in India would have watched it. Do some research.

Indian movies breaking out into global arena is very rare, so, many Indians tend to take pride when it happens. It is more about recognition than validation. Global recognition of films and art influences the perception of certain culture a lot. Why do you think so many people around the world know so much about US and not the other way around? It has a lot to do with the popularity of American films and pop culture in general.

They should have included some bits of martial arts based movies too. Like those of Vidyut Jamwal. Also they should have picked the fight inside that structure instead when it comes to war. The actual physical fight between Hrithik and Tiger would have been a lot better to show

RRR is not the greatest movie in the world. It's not even the best of India. It's one of the best movies in India and world because there are so many great and best movies in other industries too. Bahubali, RRR is definitely a pride of India.
Just for context, the banana scene is actually a parody spoof movie, which makes fun of South Indian over the top action films. Unfortunately many don't know this and think that is what South Indian films are...

Ponniyin Selvan is not a true story but some of the characters are real like the title character who is the Great king from Chola Dynasty, Raja Raja I. The novel is quite popular amongst the Tamil Speaking people when it came out around 50 years ago. The story is of 5 books.
