I think that he should've been closer because I could've reacted if I saw such a windup.but then again I've never used one in a fight because it ends too quickly so I don't really know for sure.
Especially if your opponents is drunk, any drunk man would get down even with just a slap, elbow is strong but hard to execute and easy to avoid, if you against martial artist elbow would impossible technique to do cause the range is to close, any martial artist would react if you trying to close the range, but normal dude that hold a beer definitely easy to knockdown, but at this point you doesn't need to know any martial art to knockout a drunk man.
Also in self defence, if someone trys to tackle you, sprawling with a downward elbow to their back is very effective; JUST don't hit their spine as you can damage them permanently and go to jail!
I wouldn’t use it really as a legit strike it’s more like a strike then grinding it into the back and sprawling but honestly just getting under hooks and a good sprawl into a guillotine would be better
@@Jujitard69420 not even close buddy have you ever fought? Under hooks require way more time effort and you must be the same size or bigger or else he will go through them. An elbow straight to the top of the head or spine will be quite quick and you could sprawl as well. It would end the fight very fast
@@Jujitard69420 it all works. When I was younger before I even knew how to wrestle, I had a guy try and tackle me and I just sprawled on instinct with a downward elbow and that stopped it right there. I mean elbowing someone in the kidney is pretty effective and you can do it while sprawling and repeatedly
Excellent tools, very durable and don't require conditioning and "proper" application, like with punches AND you can land them in places where you don't wanna punch without gloves
Elbows are effective AF, a once tried to hit spinning backfist but my sparring partner went to close and I hit him with elbow of my extended arm, still resulted in a knock down.
Remember to bend the arms as you turn around with the spinning elbows. I injured myself on three separate occasions. However, it has not happened in years.
Isn’t the tomahawk elbow (or 12-6 elbow) illegal? Also Has anyone told you that you look like Stefan Struve but not insanely tall? (or even a lighter Anthony smith lmao)
How do you properly hit a tomahawk elbow, and a spinning elbow without hitting your funny bone? I got kicked in the funny bone one time and felt it for three days afterwards.
Hook ellbow? Although I am not nee to martial arts I have never come along this one so far 😮 What are the advantages or disadvantages compared to the horizontal ellbow though? I'd assume an advantage is that it might be easier to utilize from the guard without leasing the head opened up that much 🤔
Dont know but all elbow strikes (horizontal, diagonal and uppercut at least) can cut if you manage to hit with the pointy end of the bone instead of smashing the forearm like told in the video, which is more ko oriented
I used everything I could used to finished the fight. My uncle was putting people in the hospital back in the day with them muay thai kicks, elbows and punches.
That elbow that's supposed to be thrown like a hook using the inside of your elbow bone is literally a funny bone, and your whole arm will go numb. I would hate to use that part of my elbow to hit somebody's face. I always thought it was the edge of the elbow or that sharp, narrow bone at the end of the elbow...I've never heard anybody who used the elbows hit with part of the forearm rather than the end of the elbow...
I accidentally hit my friend with something eerily similar to the spinning elbow shown in this clip, back when i was at school, he had startled me and i did it without thinking. At the time i had no familiarity with muay thai besides knowing that it was the name of a martial art. He didn't get seriously hurt though (i'm 99% sure) at the end it was just funny
Yes they are but in most I’ve been in the opponent always keeps their hands so stiff on their face so I can never get the satisfaction of throwing an elbow to the chin
If you don't do the tomahawk elbow right, you might end up doing more damage to your self 😂 Same thing with the spin elbow but your opponent has a nice view of your ass and if his shoes shines at the right angle, your toast 😂
That elbow strike done in that street fight was a perfect example of how effective it is & when to execute it. Game over.
Fast

Game over and in prison.

My trainer advised to be ready to go to jail upon using an elbow in a real fight.
“give those a shot”
“ok lil bro so just stand here”
Are you dumb? That's why there's a movement in the foot so you can get closer or further
Judas effect
I love that you incorporate what’s best for the streets too, big ups you got a new follower!
Thank you!
That 'street' elbow couldn't possibly have had a better result.
Hopefully, he was the Good Guy, in the scenario.
He was clearly The Winner.
My favorite weapon, it's always the most effective ever👍💪🥋✊💯
The lead horizontal elbow is the best for me, it feels like a left hook, but more natural and hits harder. The left hook is my power punch
That was a crisp spinning elbow
An uppercut elbow is referred to as "comb your hair" and a horizontal elbow is referred to as "brush your teeth". This helps new students to remember.
I like that
6: reiner’s battering ram elbow
thank you dangerous Ray Liotta 🙏🙏
we Needed Dat Money, KARRREN...!
I survived a fight cus of my elbows once!
As for defense, they are recommended in a short distance or clinch, which is where their effectiveness and power will be seen mostly.
Excellent tools, very durable and don't require conditioning and "proper" application, like with punches AND you can land them in places where you don't wanna punch without gloves
The 6-12 or strait from down to up is also very effective and is more practical and easier on the shoulder than the tomahawk or 12-6 elbow
This is such a high-quality video.
Elbows are my most favorite weapon
remember to keep your hands relaxed when throwing elbows
The only elbow strike I do a few times on my punching bag is the spinning elbow, lol. Thanks for the ideas
Thank you, I will start practicing with the elbow strike
- "Sir, you just woke up from a comma. Do you remember the last thing you saw?"
- "Stay safe"
Glad I found this channel. There a lot of useful information in these videos.
Your hands aren't made for hitting, they are made for grabbing and they break easily, the real weapons in human body are the legs and the elbows
Although open hand strikes and hammer fists pose far less potential damage to the hands and can be very effective.
Elbows are effective AF, a once tried to hit spinning backfist but my sparring partner went to close and I hit him with elbow of my extended arm, still resulted in a knock down.
Very good tutorial I ll stsrt training them 😊
Those are dope !! Let’s go elbows !
💯 I crushed my ulnar nerve using this in a fight and that hurt like a MOFO Yo
I like the tomahawk elbow while faking a teep.
Excellent job Youngster 👍🏿👍🏿
Thanks great stuff!
bro u forgot the spear elbow
The upper elbow on chin..I think it won't be hard to break the jaws and teeth with that lethal strike...!! Dayumm
Bro I finally learned from a TH-cam short How to actually throw these goodies. Thank you!❤
🤙🏻
I thought I invented the hook elbow since I had a really sharp inner elbow even without being that skinny. Turns out it was practical all along.
Got it👍 now I have to find a victim.😊
Gl, just don't find me.
Excellent
He shows ksi perfect technique
HEY MAN IMMA NEW SUBBIE AND I LOVE THE ELBOW STRIKE VIDEO PLEASE DO MORE
thank you and will do!
“Number 4: the kill shot”
My aunt surprised me from behind this Christmas. I can attest that spinning elbow works well….oops 🤦🏽♂️
Nice . I love them also

Isn’t the tomahawk elbow (or 12-6 elbow) illegal?
Also Has anyone told you that you look like Stefan Struve but not insanely tall? (or even a lighter Anthony smith lmao)
12-6 is illegal in ufc
Wtf lmao
Im not trying #5. That inner elbow strike. If i miss, that funny bone will have me giggling while getting my ass kicked😂.
Ksi is the best at elbows😂
a dense pointy bone connecting two large chunks of meat, the elbow is a weapon
Nice short
I actually leaned a new one .. the second to last one .. goodsh*t👍
Try not to hit that funny bone with the tomahawk elbow thoo
WATCH OUT CUZ ONE GOES A LONG WAY.
I am in the gym now practing elbow also i have booked a 1 on 1 session for friday 😊🤠
First 4 elbow strikes are great, although not sure about hitting with the inside of the elbow on the fifth strike…
Honestly 😭
We do a few of these in kung fu. But uhh..that Tomohawk one? Lemme borrow that. Looks filthy 👏🏿👏🏿
Wow! Those are fing scary
great
👍👍💪💪
The steet one bro knonk him out in 1 sencon
Question… 🙋♂️ what you recommend for speed
Basically Jon Jonesing people in the street
Perfect comparison, Jon Jones is nasty with the elbows.
I'm having a hard time throwing tomahawk with my lead arm, how do you do it?
1st Elbow shown is the Elbow delivered by Matt Brown which turned Diego Sanchez into a Gay 🌈
Dang dude are you Ray Liotta's son?
Jon Jones Approves
great video! But just like any other strike elbows require a ton of training and high fight IQ!
exactly
What are your thoughts on the Ong Bak elbow strike?
How do you properly hit a tomahawk elbow, and a spinning elbow without hitting your funny bone? I got kicked in the funny bone one time and felt it for three days afterwards.
hook elbows f my funny bone spinning the best n horizontal
what about the other 13 elbow blows?
No MMA have ever used a true back fist. They simply don't know what it is or how to execute it.
Hook ellbow? Although I am not nee to martial arts I have never come along this one so far 😮
What are the advantages or disadvantages compared to the horizontal ellbow though?
I'd assume an advantage is that it might be easier to utilize from the guard without leasing the head opened up that much 🤔
Dude my funny bone tho😂
Great elbows, but hot all th names wrong but last one, spinning elbow. 😂
It's:
Side elbow
Over elbow
Up Elbow
Spear Elbow...
On tomahawk I always hit with my funny bone what should I do
nice thx - was the downward elbow also called cut elbow?
Dont know but all elbow strikes (horizontal, diagonal and uppercut at least) can cut if you manage to hit with the pointy end of the bone instead of smashing the forearm like told in the video, which is more ko oriented

I have a question, is tomahawk allowed in MMA?
remember... these are muay thai teqniques
Great video, but isn’t it more accurate to say that the tomahawk elbow actually has forward drive/thrust too? It’s not a 12-6 elbow at all 💪🙏
What about spear elbow?
What about the back elbow. Where you hit you opponent with the back of your elbow
Works too
Doing elbow strike hands get shock

hilarious
Yes they are but in most I’ve been in the opponent always keeps their hands so stiff on their face so I can never get the satisfaction of throwing an elbow to the chin
Isn’t the fourth one illegal in ufc (12-6)
An elbow sucker punch while a guy is holding a beer is not a fight.
Jaaaamaaaaycaaaaa
I accidentally hit my leg , now it feels so bad😢
If you don't do the tomahawk elbow right, you might end up doing more damage to your self 😂
Same thing with the spin elbow but your opponent has a nice view of your ass and if his shoes shines at the right angle, your toast 😂
Thay? Mostro casi todos los codos posibles del muay thay...
If Saitama and Ray Liotta had a child 💪🏻
Мне однажды помогло.
Human weapon
What about school fights
Where is the John Cena elbow strike
Cuz some kid wants to fight me
