One of my favourites of the album (although most tracks are really good). I just love the jazzy/funky sound and even somewhat proggy. They are so good in mixing different genres without it sounding like they don't fit plus they always find a way to make something complex sound catchy. This track (especially the chorus) also generally gets stuck in my head every time I hear it.
I was going to write about the elements of this I really enjoy, but it would end up being the whole thing! So I’ll limit it to Angie’s higher register and Oreo’s jazzy piano tieing it all together. Oh and Koga’s bass of course…and the counter point group vocals, not forgetting the guitar interplay… 🤣
The resemblance in style to some Polyphia stuff is pretty astute. They really made sure, that they cover a lot of stylistic ground on W. This song especially fits Yuri's drum sound most, cause it's a song where the drums can breathe. The live was done about a year before the studio recording, so they refined the arrangment a bit. GS also don't care much about the style of a song, as long as the melody is great. cheers :)
To me it's jazzy at first. Not everybody can sing Rock as well as Jazz. I often wonder how well the japanese language fits to all kinds of modern western music. I guess it wouldn't work in chinese.

It's like Yuri went into this album with the mindset of "I'm tired of people forgetting my name or who I am. I'll make sure they learn and remember"

I love so much this song!
It's still a fun song, but as they mention themselves, it has a bit of mature vibe. The song is about dreams that can devour you like a hyena 😄🐰🕳
