Great to hear this one again, what a funny song. And Don you're absolutely right, this is way more just a novelty song. The music was totally inspired and beautifully performed. This was a number one single for Moe&Joe in the late '70s, and it deserved it! Thanks Don and Dee, Joyce, Cynthia for the great request and reaction!
Thanks for doing this song; it's always been one of my favorites. I used to sing this for karaoke with my best friend, who shared my rowdy days. He passed away in November, and I miss him every day - rest well, old friend. Moe had two pretty big hits on his own, including the bittersweet 'Bandy the Rodeo Clown' and my favorite, the touching and thoughtful 'Too Old To Die Young.' It'd be nice to hear your opinion on them
@B Williams I did your favorite a little while back, and I don't think you'll be disappointed. Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/5-AMxrlvh5E/w-d-xo.html
@@RockN2Country Hah; I forgot all about it. I see I even left a comment and a Like on it. You've been so generous in getting to my songs. It's good to be part of your channel.
Great song choice; thank you to the ladies who requested it! Starting off a Saturday on the right foot…. Great to see you enjoy as well Don, Moe and Joe had quite a few songs that brought us humor in situations we could all relate to. #UTRCM
I enjoyed this while having my morning coffee, were you having a cold beverage? I've been seeing some outrageously high temps. In some parts of Europe not sure about France though.
@@mikebarnett9012 it is a bit warm here indeed my friend. All week it has been between 38 and 40 degrees here (100 to 104 degrees F). Lots of forest fires and such but hopefully it will cool off in a week or so. I am indeed having a cool one… Take care my friend….. #UTRCM
You already did my favorite song by Moe about the time I lost my son. It’s my favorite song of all time. My second favorite is Dinosaur by Hank Jr. That song Till I’m too Old to Die Young, I’ve loved that song since it came out. I never knew it would hit so close to home as it does now. I want to thank you for the reaction to that. That’s my song to my boy. Dinosaur is a song to me. By the way, as if I hadn’t cried enough, your reaction to that song made me cry like a baby. Certain songs and certain days can definitely take a person to a different place. Your reaction took me to a good place. Thank ya.
@Travis Dean I am humbled that I was able to help you in some way through the emotional roller coaster of having lost your son, and hope it bestowed some honor upon him and your situation. I will add Hank's song to the list, so hang in there and I'll get to it in due course. Thanks again, and keep the faith, to whatever extent possible. ~Don
@@RockN2Country I appreciate you doing that. I guess I really have two songs he and I used to listen to most about me. It’s hard to pick one so you can. The song I mentioned and then Outlaws Reward. It’s by Hank as well. I of course knew them both but they mean a lil more to me now. You pick which ever. Thank ya.
What makes me laugh so much is real people I know pop into my head when I hear the lyrics. I see these people doing these things......so it makes it believable
Good Morning Don, I had forgot about this one and just how dadgum funny it is. The interesting thing IMO was the 3rd verse wasn't no ways near as outrageous as the first 2. It almost like they immediately through us in the deep water and then allowed us to slowly make it back to shallow end. Anyhow very funny song great reaction Don and thanks to Dee, Joyce, and Cynthia for starting my Saturday off with a chuckle end a smile.---#UTRCM
If you’re ever in need of another Moe Bandy song, I strongly recommend To Cheat or Not To Cheat Yesterday Once More (song about older country singers) The Champion For Tears to Come These are just a few of my favorites by him!
Check out Moe Bandy singing The Champ and Yesterday Once More. Traditional country at its best. Love your reactions . You have only scratched the surface.
Joe Stampley, once was part of a group called The Uniques. His solo album includes songs from his Unique years. Try “all these things” it’s a romantic ballad
These two are hilarious. Another one of their classics is Holding The Bag. It's all about the trials and tribulations that their friendship has brought.
If you like this song, you're gonna love "Where's the Dress". You will die laughing. But you must watch the official video of it. I won't give anything away. Moe & Joe had some funny duets.
Don't forget...Both More Bandy and Joe Stampley each had hit songs of their own, long before they made this album. And those songs were mostly serious.

Stampley was more of white R&B wannabe singer, which was a thing on country radio in the '70s. When that went out of fashion in the '80s, he extended his career by hooking up with Bandy, a hard-core country singer, on this Moe and Joe Good Old Boy act

Moe and Joe are just absolute legends...saw them in concert three times.
Now he needs to hear their song “where’s the dress” ;)
That would probably get blocked on TH-cam for being insensitive to the newest brand of gender😂
Totally need to do “Where’s The Dress” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
