My Dodge Stratus doesn't start. I did several steps to it , but nothing has worked. The starter does make sound and passes gas, but it doesn't turn on the engine. Do you think it can be a fuse, gas pump or the timing belt? I wil gladly appreciate your answer. Thanks!
@@marco19723 I am not an expert, but checking the fuses is a good place to start. My Dodge stratus would not start, and it was a fuse. Fuses are cheap, and I hope yours is just a fuse.
Just had 20 amp starter fuse blow , today . Car didn’t start , I got it home and saw the fuse was blown . Put another one in and it started . Car had been hard starting recently taking time to crank before starting . Everything I read is saying starter is bad and drawing too many amps and blowing fuse .
I have a 2001 stratus and had to replace the timing belt after it broke while driving. As you may know these have been designed to not allow the engine parts to collide inside and ruin the motor. I did as recommended an replaced the pully tensioner and water pump aswell. Problem is I get like half a crank and no start. Just like a woomp! Like it wants to start but thats it. Battery fully charged, starter is brand new crank shaft sensor is good camshaft sensor is good. Fuses and relays are good. Throws no codes. Engine turns by hand so it's not ceased up. I'm stumped and cursing up a storm. Anything I may have missed? Like a safety cutoff or sequence code or something that needs to be done or reset? I appreciate anything that might help.
2003 Sebring and no crank at all but blows fuse # 8 each time. Battery and connections check out clean. Testing shows no power at fuses: 23, 24, 25 Any ideas to help?
I had a animal chew up my wires behind the Engine and coming out the fire wall into the split by the valve covers. 2002 dodge stratus. 2.4 vin x. The wires does not seem to attach color to color... I need some help
Yeah... I have a Dodge stratus 2002 2.4 engine. My radiator fans don't come on at all. Any ideas ? Checked all fuses and relays, all good. Replaced the engine coolant temperature sensor, still no fans. Replaced the thermostat, still no fans. When I unplug the engine coolant temperature sensor, fans come on. Mmmm. I noticed, I was leaking antifreeze. Learned it was the water pump. Replaced water pump, all the belts and and the timer belt kit ( whatever that means ). The mechanic kicked my butt. It was expensive. Still no fans. Any ideas ?? I have no answers.
You need to get a wiring diagram to isolate the cause of your issue. Verifying power along the circuit you can generally find the actual cause and repair/ replace much cheaper than just replacing parts. And definitely check and clean the grounds.
Typically its the voltage amps, instead of blowing up your battery and cause a fire, the fuse blows up. just get a higher amp fuse and it'll prevent the ignition fuse blowing up.

Why does the number 8 fuse keep blowing on my car I drove it everywhere and then one day I stopped and went to start and it wouldn't I replaced the number 8 fuse and it blew again then I put a 30 and it started and ran good for a week and now it's blowing those
@@caelan.brigham9937 I never really did. I just put a 30 amp fuse in it. I know your not really supposed to do that. But it worked until the car got totalled.
I bought some fuses for $4, and with your advice, my 2005 Dodge Stratus starts. Thank you vey much !
What were your symptoms?
@@tannerwright5735 Turned key, dash lights came on, no sound from engine.

This helped so much! Thank you and now I know what to check before I try calling for help. Luckily, I made it to work still today. 🤙🤙
