She is very correct in that aspect of selling below market price and starting small. I have an example of a guy in my street that started new in my area to make us 3 provision sellers. He started big and stocked up everywhere inside and out with extremely cheap price i mean cheaper than market to the point people will be using him to compare my own price and it was a serious problem honestly to me. Fast-forward today, the shop went drastically down to the point we heard d guy is squatting with someone in an uncompleted building in my street. All those people comparing my price with his own are still coming to buy from me. Dis provision market if u are not careful, customers will send u packing to ur village. They will b hailing u with cheap price, but wen u are unable to meet up, they will leave u to another shop where they will get wat they want.
20k to 40k is enough to start with but you must start with what people can't do without at home. I started mine with 20k and what I did was that I started with what people can't do without buying a day! E.g half creates of Raw eggs, some pieces of bathing soap Some salts, Maggie, some counted noodles pepper, garri , rice, sugar and groundnuts - this one is very important 😂, onga, food spices, few rolls of tomatoes paste etc I didn't believe I could make 10k in just 3weeks and guess what I started selling in a new area where nobody knew me before at the front ( Balcony) of my 2 bedroom flat we relocated to.
