Since 2008 I've seen this band more than anyone else. I FUCKING LOVE DR. DOG. Best live touring band out there, and that's coming from a Phish fan since I was 12. I said it.
Hands down, Dr. Dog has been my favorite band for the last 5-6 years. I don't believe they will ever be supplanted for me personally. Scott's lyrics speak to me in a way that no lyricist has ever managed before... especially his earlier stuff. The new stuff is amazing as well, and you'll still see me at every show within a 200 mile radius of where I live... but if you listen to his words and music from Easy Beat through B-room, I would argue that he is among the greatest poets of our time. A poet with a stellar sense of musicianship. Dylanesque for sure. Can't beat it.
Michael Isley Easy Beat to BRoom is the best Dr.Dog. I still love the band but after that album they have kind of went down hill for me as far as their songs go
Lovely comment couldn't agree more! Fate, B-Room and Shame, Shame and We All Belong are my fave albums ever made, ok as i was writing this comment i wanted to add more and more albums aisdhasda they're all so full of gold! Easy Beat of course would be there too! In terms of sheer evocativeness of lyrics The Rabbit, The Bat and The Reindeer and Get Away get a prize, but the highest honor goes to my fave song ever made by them, Humble Passenger.... That song feels like a whole feature film it deserves all the awards in the world!!
... heard "Peace of Mind" on college radio station last night and had to find out what it was immediately. I can't stop listening to the song, and this live version of it is wonderful!
Why do I find their lyrics to be so good? I feel the themes of their songs are so relatable in a way that other music isn’t. Makes me feel so existential. It really be like that. For real one of my favorite finds of this year. Damn I feel like I’m so late
If you've just found them this year, listen to the album Fate. The whole way through...it makes sense as a complete album, and is my favorite of theirs. Live shows from that tour were the best I've ever been to :)
lvacqua I found Dr dog a few months ago and listened to Fate first and my favourite was "the old days". I'm so envious of you since you probably heard that one live
I missed Scott's Ernest T. dancing for this show but then he made-up for that when I got to see him in Houston! At this show, I not only got to be on top of the subwoofer, but I also had a guy screaming "Dr. Dog" at decibel 11 into my ear plus other things- throughout the show. It was like Beatlemania all over again except that I could hear all of the music for the show. Great show.
AAAAAAAA THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING!!! such a high quality livestream! This is my favorite band ever! And they performed soooo many of my faves here! What a delight!
This was a great show. Glad to be able to watch it again after, like I did with the First Aid Kit show. EQ settings seems to be messed up a bit though, the low end is peaking quite a bit and I had to modify my personal EQ to make it listenable otherwise it felt like he was kicking in my eardrum instead of the bass drum. Edit: Seems like they fixed the audio issues about 30 minutes into the stream.
keenanbro hey no doubt man it was a fabulous show, would love to see them again but yea Where'd all the time go is one of my favorites and wish they'd play it Is all :/
The kick has waaaaaayyyyy too much low end. Need to throw a high pass on that shit. I can't believe the sound guy did that, it's almost unthinkable. EDIT: So they ended up fixing it but now the right guitar is way too loud, lol

Music for the outsiders and the lonely. I love Dr. Dog!

I feel you man. Haven't been into a band this much in a while. Glad we shared the same experience!

Amo a esta banda, en serio, la amo! Saludos desde Medellín, Colombia.
Vamossss! Que genial encontrar otro fan de Dr. Dog en Colombia! Saludos desde Bogota!
Dr. Dog are so underrated that that's what I like about them the most, well... that and the fact their music kicks arse/ass...
This is some magical stuff right here

So prolific. Every time I look up Dr. Dog has a new album... and I love it.
What’s going on with the low end? Bass seems inverted or out of phase? Otherwise looks and sounds lovely
Best band in the world!
Just saw them last night in Portland!
So good!!!

Some of my biggest music influences
that drummer’s traditional grip has me smiling
that’s a Peavey Musician stage right there, for anyone else nuts enough to give a hoot about that.
I would kill for a live version of Jim Song
Love

Wow completely ruined by ads.

They didn't play where'd all the time go in Chicago :/
No, but they played Critical Equation, which was pretty incredible.
keenanbro hey no doubt man it was a fabulous show, would love to see them again but yea Where'd all the time go is one of my favorites and wish they'd play it Is all :/

Phish without Scales on a solid state of Ice.
Why does the drummer look like Chucky ?
I was there. scott was sick. he tried. shut up.
The kick has waaaaaayyyyy too much low end. Need to throw a high pass on that shit. I can't believe the sound guy did that, it's almost unthinkable.

it’s cuz he plays his kick with his dick and it’s massive
Love Dr Dog but Ladada is painful with those guitars out of tune 🤢
Definitely an 'album band'. HiR at the end was damn near unforgivable.
joek81981 da fuq you talking bout
What? The mix on this recording wasn't great, but their live shows are f**king phenomenal.
