On basic systems using desi UPS or a non complicated inverter with solar, I use a simple 24 hour timer using 2 hour intervals or more ( between depending on my load) wapda charging and switching off.
OSO works fine if batteries are in good condition. If batteries are weak, they will drain during the night with almost very low backup in case of need. Good informative video.

In evening when inverter shift to battery in SBU load is on via battery after battery load is shifted to utility then charging of battery starts by wapda as solar is not available , when battery is charged till its full capacity load is again shifted to battery and power consumption is zero by wapda , in this way electricity is saved by hybrid inverter , How you claim to save electricity by your logic ? Did you calculated the units that are consumed by charging batteries ? Are they less when load is shifted to batteries after charging ?
