There are three main types of solar system On grid Off Grid Hybrid solar system all types of have their own advantages and disadvantages depends on condition. Load shedding in Pakistan is a big problem specially in summer season due to electricity short fall.
So this video is about 15kw grid tied system in which LONGI 545W panels are installed and Sofar 15KW on grid solar inverter is installed with net metering system.
But we know that during load shedding on grid solar system is going on off position and during those hours solar panels are useless. I make a switching mechanism with some magnetic contactors ac relays and a Max power infini V2 hybrid solar inverter.
So this grid tied solar system with battery backup or on grid solar system with battery backup OSAKA TA 1800 tall tubular batteries are installed and this is a three phase solar system with two solar inverters one is 15kw hybrid solar inverter and another is 10KW hybrid solar inverter which is working here as a off grid inverter or ups.

Some say that Its for AC current. DC current will burn this system. Is it safe
@thesaadiqbal52 Depends on who does it and how. When the grid is down any on-grid inv will stop producing AC current because of compulsary safety regulations to keep linemen safe, No on-grid inv will power your home in an outage since their output is also balanced across 3 phases regardless of what your load is phase wise hence they switch off. Its very easy to retrofit a goodwe hybrid with a goodwe on-grid and so on, meaning same companys specifically designed retrofit hybrid invs. But, the cost of that is too high and no lower brand that I know of makes specific retrofit hybrid invs. The following solution works regardless of make/model.
1. Add a hybrid inv and split its output to all 3 load phases or 1 phase if your house is wired that way, ofcourse that output would require an ATS (auto switching) so it only outputs once the grid is down and not when its up.
2. The existing PV arrays can be used, just hook them to another ATS which will primarily provide power to the on-grid and shift the PV DC power to the hybrid only when the grid is down.
3. DV (PV) and AC output switching can also be done using simple change overs but the specs of the change over must match, especially for DC. ATS just makes it safer and automatic.
Unfortunately here 99 percent installers are totally incompetent but this solution is a hundred percent safe and applied at millions of homes across the globe incl mine.

Well, I can understand that with an existing On-grid system you used an off-grid inverter to use the solar power during load shedding. While this can also be handled by using a hybrid inverter that automatically switches to off-grid mode while load-shedding.

Its because Wapda & Specially Fesco allows net metering only on On grid & not on Hybrid systems.

That is called Jugar which was not needed. In your video you said to have used Hybrid Inverter, and Hybrid Inverter is capable of working on-grid and off-grid as well. So basically you have not understood the capability of a Hybrid Inverter and have wasted a lot of time and money.

You're using normal magnetic contactor for switching high voltage DC from solar panels, that's a risky deal , DC arc can burn contactor points or God forbid even more than that , should use some DC breakers here somehow

Sorry to say this 10kw hybrid inverter is very hectic when comes to warranty and comparatively expensive. Since there was no industrial load, you could've easily given single phase hybrid or off grid inverters which are convenient for warranty. Secondly, spending additional 8-9lacs for running off grid is not feasible until unless thr client already didn't own a generator. It's one way out but not feasible. Lastly, there is no sufficient cleaning space for the solar panels. Overall installation is good but there's always room for improvement.

Thanks AJ Electric for such an informative video. I am a solar user and facing similer issue. Your video is very informative in this regard. However, I have one question. Can't we use simple 1 relay with higher current rating ? Why do we need magnatic contanter ? As relay is 2 way switch so we can simply power relay with mains and use relay 'off' position to connect PV to off-grid. Please reply to my query, waiting for your guidance. Thanks.

We r doing same since 1 year only difference switching is manual (as a precaution of auto switch issue)
That is what I feel as well. The switching should be manual. All circuit breakers related to On-Grid inverter input and output be put to off and then this system be made to work. A little botheration but safety... But have you put these batteries as well for load shedding hours when sun is set?

I DON'T understand why you are using On-Grid inverter at all, grid feeding can be done through Hybrid Inverter only
How do you disconnect Disco input... Because as I understand that on grid Inverter is shutdown during load shedding because of safety.... Electricity produced by Solar setup should not travel back on Disco.... Because shutdown could be because of load shedding or due to some fault and Disco staff could be working on the lines?
So my question how Disco lines are isolated?

I think during load shedding, the voltage produced by solar panels is diverted to this new off grid inverter through that newly installed relay in system. So the electricity is not travelling to our On-Grid Inverter and then to green meter and subsequently to wapda. But still its a sensitive system as per safety point of view.
@@ahmedallavi6429 TBH , I will not take that risk or adventure ever , because it may take someone life. I will prefer hybrid inverter which is having option to connect batteries and in case of grid shut down,the batteries supply the power during power outage.
But I will never ever try an adventure .
I think this set up will not be approved by disco as it may result to some accident.

We have another fromula here for this problem in on grid we are using solar on grid of10 kilo watt in night there would be no electricity from solar so we will use electricity from wapda . If electricity is not working even from wapda due to load shedding we have generator available so that would be used .

This seems wastage of money by using two types of inverters. Instead, you may have a hybrid system of 12-15 watts. This does seem a wise decision

Sir hamara 3kw nitrox ka inverter hai without netmetering. Zero export Ka option hai isme. Installer ne ct nahi lagai. Kia lagani chahye?

On Grid + UPS is the most economical Solution.

@noumanyounas2426 it's works separately. Separate wiring of UPS is need to be done. On Grid Inverter stops working during load shedding.
At that time UPS provides backup for Lights and Fans etc
