    Mr Martini is a class act, could've taken advantage of Francis but didn't. Refreshing to see a male character in a positive role. They become very close and its obvious they love each other as friends.

      Indeed he is! His eyes and smile were so sexy. And he played the part well. Such a shame Sr. Martini was married here, his chemistry with Frances was sizzling. Certainly stronger than the two men she paired with.

    What makes me sad about my belief in this movie is that all movie is about frances belief that she may find love but actually the author says in an interview that the move to Italy was real but everything else was just imaginary ......

    Good movie, but lousy ending. It gives people false hope that despite many failures in love, that they will find their Mr/Ms Right. yes, some do, but many don't, and we must keep that in mind. A better ending would've been that she found solace being single, and that friends and family and other things would have been just as good. There is NOT SOMEONE FOR EVERYONE, and movies need to stop giving lame endings that show people finding their match after many years of failure in love, because 9/10 times, it doesn't happen.

    • @mariabella19
      @mariabella19 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      And with that mentality, it definitely won't.
      She had Faith and she built it before it happened.
      And she wished for it, so, in the film, it made sense that she got it.
      It happens in real life too.
      You sound very jaded. I understand and I am sorry for your experiences.
      I also do understand in finding happiness in what we already have.
      The grass is greener where you water it. But, when you actually start watering your grass, the ladybugs come ;)

    • @3333sweetie
      @3333sweetie 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@mariabella19 Let's not pretend that it's not some unusual case. For every woman like her, there are many who don't find anything, and Hollywood giving these types of happy endings all the time doesn't help, because it gives people false hope. We need to accept that there is not someone for everyone and not everyone finds someone in the end. Reality is more important. It's nice you're optimistic, but we also need to be realistic too. Yes, some people get happy ending, but many don't. I just wish Hollywood gave an ending where it didn't happen, but they found peace and happiness in being single because romantic love isn't the end all in life. Some people, no matter how much they 'water the grass,' can't find love. I've seen it with other people, and they did everything in their best. If they're not destined or meant for it, they won't have it. Sorry, but life isn't a bed of roses and we must accept that romantic love isn't possible for everyone and we need to give importance to other things in life. I'm not jaded, I'm realistic. Don't assume things. And even if I were jaded, I'm right to my feelings. All I said was I don't like how Hollywood gives unrealistic endings. Just wanting love and working for it won't mean you'll get it because romantic love has a lot to do with people's feelings and attraction and some people cannot attract a partner, no matter what they do. It's overrated love, out of all loves. Familial love and love for hobbies, career, etc., is more fun and rewarding.Wishing for something or someone won't mean you'll get it. I know you feel upset knowing there isn't someone for everyone, but it's better to accept it now than to be in denial and get a much worse disappointment in life later one.

      @@kaleighvictoria Unfortunately, too many people end up single and unhappy. We need to stop the false notion that there is someone for everyone and that romantic love is the best thing on earth. I'm realistic. Just because some people find love, doesn't mean everyone will. Many go to their graves alone. Love is not in everyone's fate or destiny. It's not funny
