  • This summer our Dangerous Arts event programme will show visitors how we bring history to life at the museum. As part of this you can come and meet the specialist craftspeople who make
    leather goods, armour, swords and costumes for the museum.
    Dave Hewitt, the Royal Armouries Armourer, will be hosting workshops on the 16th and 17th August.

    Can i hire this man?It is surprisingly hard to find any armourers at all,let alone how to contact or hire them

      Yes sadly past away on the 7th of May. His funeral was well attended and featured two men in full plate armour as his honour guard. He will be missed.
