The reason Kreacher was acting differently towards Harry than he did to Hermione is because Sirius not only left Grimauld Place (the former headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix) to Harry in a will but Harry also inherited Kreacher as well. As a result Kreacher is magically bound to obey Harry. Harry never freed Kreacher because Dumbledore asked Harry not to due to Kreacher knowing way to much about The Order of the Phoenix secret group.
When Harry found out about Regelus Black being R.A.B Kreacher told Harry about how Regelus use to be a Deatheater during the first war. But one day Regelus found out that Voldemort was using his favorite house elf to experiment on when he was creating the evil magical defenses in the cave where the Slytherin locket was originally located. When Kreacher told Harry about how he was tortured by Voldemort and how Regelus sacrifice himself to save Kreacher, Harry felt sorry for Kreacher to the point that he gifted Kreacher the fake Slytherin locket that use to belong to Regelus. From that moment on Kreacher changed his attitude not only towards Harry but he began to be kind to Hermione and Ron as well.

FUN FACT: The gentleman who plays Mad-Eye Moody is the father of the gentleman who plays Bill Weasley (the groom of the wedding, the one who said 'Mad-Eye's dead')
FACT: Now the green light curse (the one that Sirius, Hedwig [the white owl] and Professor Dumbledore died from) there's no coming back from it. If you're the target of that curse, that's the last color you're seeing and you're not coming back from it. Remember what Barty Crouch Jr as Mad eye had said during the 4th film.

One thing I have to mention to you ladies is that in a deleted scene of when the Dursleys were leaving Harry’s aunt Petunia showed worry for Harry. Harry told her that Voldemort was dangerous and her response: “Don’t you think I know that? You didn’t just lose a mother. I lost a sister.” Like she finally turned around. It is said that she was jealous of her sister Lily for having powers and wanted to go to Hogwarts herself. So basically her hate was just jealousy.
Dudley even asked his dad about Harry and after told Harry wasn’t going with them he walks over and shakes his hand. Finally giving him respect and recognizing that Harry saved his life in Order of the Phoenix.
Vernon however just… well he was the same. Shrugged it and got in the car

I think Grindelwald was potentially more dangerous than Voldemort. Yeah, Voldemort was more powerful... but if you think about it... that's basically what defined him as a villain. He was an OP villain that was almost immortal. Most of his followers only followed him because they were affraid of him. But Grindelwald was a charismatic villain. He took advantage of the wizarding community' dissatisfaction in having to hide their magic for the sake of Muggles to rally a world-wide net of followers that actually adored him. He was a great manipulator that was able to convince those that once were against him to join him.

  • @Alexszander
    @Alexszander 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +43

That was one adorable intro ❤
Hermione casting Obliviate on her parents is a really heartbreaking scene - the spell is very hard to reverse, most times downright impossible, as the books have shown with Gilderoy Lockheart, so esentially Hermione is saying goodbye to her parents, for good.
Another scene from the book was left out - Dudley being the only one to say goodbye to Harry. It's not much, but it's a world of difference compared to how his parents treated Harry.
4:28 - Magy with the sick burns 😂your commentary was on point the whole movie!
5:24 - you can use another person's wand. It won't work as well as your own would, but it will work.
Of the Malfoys, Narcissa is probably the strongest. She always did what was needed to protect her family but Lucius clearly lacked any strength of character and Draco unfortunately took after his father. He had his moments of redemption, like clearly lying about recognizing Harry when our trio was captured and brought to the Malfoy mansion towards the end of the movie.
9:29 - the heartbreak begins - Hedwig's death is so unexpected but it hits like a truck.
11:29 and it keeps hitting us straight in the feels. Moody wasn't exactly the character we had plenty of chances to get attached to but still, hearing he's dead really emphasizes just how bad the situation is.
12:55 - best wink I've ever seen, that was hilarious 😂
The scene with the reading of Dumbledore's will proves once again just how wise he was: he left each of them exactly what they needed to help in their quest.
18:41 - Love seeing such pure hatred for Umbridge - it goes to show just how well that actress played the part, to evoke such strong feelings.
Kreacher's story is truly sad, even though it's not covered in the movie. Voldemort used him to test the potion that Dumbledore drank in order to take the Horcrux out of the basin in the 6th movie, he was left behind to die on the island but given his Elf magic, he teleported away. His master, Regulus Black, drank the potion himself when Kreacher showed him the way into that cave, gave the Horcrux to Kreacher and told him to leave. The last thing Kreacher saw was his beloved master being killed by Inferi. Afterwards, he kept trying to destroy the Horcrux and his inability to do so drove him to insanity. That's how he ended up like we see him in the movie.
It's really insidious, how the Horcrux and the added pressure of being constantly on the run made Ron split from the party, only returning much later to save Harry. The scene where they destroy the cursed object was truly terrifying, showing us how easily it preyed on Ron's fears and insecurities.
"The Tale of the Three Brothers" was such a cool way of introducing us to the concept of Deathly Hallows and what they represent.
What Bellatrix did to Hermione was cruel beyond belief but Dobby showing up and saving the day like that was just perfect.
Dobby's last words were just heart-wrenching. In the end, he helped his friend Harry Potter one last time. Your hatred for Bellatrix is justified.
Like you very well pointed out, it's pretty clear that this movie is setting things up for the last part.
Thank you for the emotional reaction ❤

23:55 the movie doesn't explain it much, but names what happened to Ron here, he got "splinched".
basically, "splinching" is when you Apparate and don't focus well for whatever reason, so random body parts don't Apparate with you and are "left behind" in the spot from which you Disapparated. when you Disapparate/Apparate you must be extremely focused, that's why it's so hard and some wizards and witches prefer not to "travel" that way and use other methods of transportation like Floo powder or Portkeys, or even brooms.
what happened to Ron was that as he was running away from Yaxley (the Death Eater following them) he Apparated and didn't concentrate enough (because they were desperately running away), so parts of his left arm were "left behind", that's why you could see muscle and so much blood (even the bone iirc), like he technically ripped up parts of his arm in the persecution, muscle and everything. and yeah, it's painful and potentially life-threatening, but can be solved, like Hermione told Harry to use Essence of Dittany to treat the wound and repair Ron's arm magically.

    • @dalehammers4425
      @dalehammers4425 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Hermione is the one that apparated them as a group, not Ron. She panicked when she saw Yaxley at the house and instantly apparated again. She wasnt focused enough and left part of Ron behind.

I hardly need to say another fantastic reaction ladies. I'm torn between looking forward to part 2 and not wanting this journey with you to end, it's been so good. I saw a video with JK talking to Steve Kloves, who wrote the screenplay for the films and she said the scene with Harry dancing with Hermione was her favourite scene that was put in the movies that wasn't in the books. She added she'd thought about putting a similar scene in the book, two people thrown together in a highly stressful and emotional situation, finding comfort in each other, but decided there was so much going on in the story she couldn't add somthing else. The scene where Hermione wipes herself from her parents memory and walks away, is one of my favourites from the whole series. It's so powerful.

And recognizing the wand that was stolen by the thief was Dumbledore's wand and that the wand in the tale of the three brothers looks like Dumbledore's! Also noticing Ron was wearing the Horcrux when he started to get jealous of Harry and Hermione.
The snatchers probably got the inkling it was Harry because he is never without Ron and Hermione. - and I type that and then hit play again and Foxy up and says the same thing! Derp! lol

Yeah, I think this one, along with PoA are the best by a mile - the others feel very rushed and not particularly well directed. It's the characters and story that make them rewatchable, I think.

@@SimsinWonderland yeah, those two are bad. that green filter in THBP makes it look like a Snyder movie xd and imo Goblet of Fire is the worst, not only is such a weird film, everyone and everything is like over-the-top, but they left out so much stuff from the books. i still enjoy it, like it's pretty entertaining, but it's one of my least fav. the best part is Amos reaction to Cedric and basically that's it.

Its never shown in the movies but that scene when Pettigrew goes down the dungeon to check the prisioners Harry reminds him that he didnt let Sirius kill him when he had the chance, that he had shown mercy to Pettigrew once before.. Then for a second Pettigrew fells a bit of remorse, on that same second the hand that Voldedmort gave him jumped on his neck and strangled him to death, and thats how story ends for the Ratman

Dobby appears in all of the books since he is shown to us, but on the movies it was only "more cgi to spend on" so a lot of Dobbie's interactions were put on others characters hands, like when Neville finds the Room of requirement, it is actually Dobbie who tells them, and aldo Bobbie is the one who gave the gillyweed so Harry could pass the second task of the tournament

Dolohov is done really dirty in the films. In the book, that fight scene between Golden trio and Dolohov and Rowle is much different. Harry is under the invisibility cloak. First Ron shoves Hermione to get her outta harms way when the wands are taken out and the fight is just about to start. Then Rowle is taken out nearly straight after. Then Dolohov takes out Ron. Then he takes out invisible Harry as well despite not being able to see him he knows the general area his spells are coming from so uses expulso to blow up the table Harry was taking cover behind, this makes Harry slam into the wall, the invisibility cloak come off him and makes him drop his wand. Dolohov is only taken out when Hermione sneak attacks Dolohov. Dolohov was left in a 3v1 and defeated both Harry and Ron (whilst Harry was invisible) and was only defeated by a sneak attack from Hermione. Dolohov is such a powerful deatheater in the books but he is done dirty in the movies.

Dobby has a bigger part in the books and in fact he works in the kitchen of Hogwarts with other free elves that Hermione herself freed from their masters and she got them all the job in the kitchen but yes his death always pains me. Emma Watson herself came up with the idea that Bellatrix would write on Hermione's arm and also the dance between Luna and her father at the wedding was all the actor's doing cause they came up nwith the dance on their own. In the book Peter the rat helped Harry and the others escape not just Dobby because Harry had spared his life at one point and Peter felt like he had to return the favour. Hedwig dying also always pains me because it's so sad. Can't wait to see your reaction to part 2.

and 16:44 - How did they trace hím ? it was Taboo spell - ,,The Taboo curse is a powerful spell which designates a word as a key to revealing the speaker's location. As such, it works in a similar manner to the Trace spell, but rather than being triggered when any magic at all is used, it is triggered by the utterance of a specific word. The Taboo curse is a powerful spell which designates a word as a key to revealing the speaker's location. In the books, Hermione used a spell on her parents that could be undone by her later. In the movies, she used a different spell that couldnt be undone.
It never made sense to me either way though. Why make them forget you even exist? It doesnt protect them in any way.
If youre afraid that they'd be able to divulge information that could be used against you, just dont tell them anything sensitive. Problem solved.
If you think that they wont be tortured just to get at you, simply because they dont remember you, then you dont understand how human beings work. Your parents make you vulnerable not because they love you, but because you love them.
