Frank, just discovered your channel. I am from Canada, and currently short bed converting a 1971 C15 GMC. Your videos are a great help, thank-you very much for sharing your knowledge.
@@mauricioescobedo3354 thanks brother! I do not, I’ve been asked and it’s technically the same but the ford truck beds are welded together I believe which would just make it harder
It would have been interesting to see how you measured, how you cut, what tools you used, the welding together, everything to do with shortening the box and re-assembly.
Yes agreed. I have done videos on each of those separate topics but I haven’t done one with all in one. I try to keep it bite sized pieces but next time I do one I’ll be more detailed. Even if it’s an hr video lol 😂
Thank you! Yes sir, this applies for C20 as well. We are going to be doing this exact same thing on a 69 C20 in the next couple weeks. I’ll post the video.
............why didnt he just buy a short bed?............im very confused ....i mean i know the long bed wasnt popular but chevy made short bed models......seems like he is wasting lots of money doing stuff that chevy already made lol
Shortbeds cost way more. Try even finding a stand alone bed from a shortbed here in California for under ,$3000. That's just for the bed, not the truck. You can find a long bed for 4500 running and driving, and cut it down for $500. Then you have a truck that would have been 12-15k if it was a factory short bed.
Good times, good friends and cold beer after a hard day of work! The trifecta of life!!!
It’s amazing! I wouldn’t want it any other way! Appreciate the comment!

All depends on the year and the length you’re gonna cut. But we take it to get it professionally cut and balanced/u joint replacement.
