Hi I’m in NSW I’m finding the curriculum so hard to navigate and overwhelming! We are looking to start homeschooling next year. I can’t seem to find a scope and sequence for nsw curriculum anywhere? I’ve grabbed the bundle from whispering waters but I’m unsure if I can use it either as it hasn’t been updated to the newest Australian curriculum as yet. Any tips on how to simplify the nsw curriculum? I’m so confused 😂
Hello, thanks for watching my videos! The curriculum can be very overwhelming so you are not alone in feeling this way. Try this resources page from My Homeschool which is specific to NSW myhomeschool.com/au/homeschooling/australia/nsw/ i did read on Whispering Waters page that she was going to come out with an updated version of her bundles but i am unsure of when that will be
For a complete homeschooling newbie this is fantastic information thank you! Slightly horrified and concerned about the counting forwards (that alone seems tricky for littlies) AND backwards to 100 in year 1! No pressure! Eek!
Thanks for sharing, Marieka! Would also be so helpful to get a glimpse into how you document learning covered and progress - do you use a google spreadsheet, for example? Have it in printed format?
I just bought the whispering waters bundle. I've been trying to find something like this for ages. Something in simple terms to tick off. Some of the wording in the scope and sequence in The Australian curriculum website is so hard to understand. Thanks for the recommendation.
HI Marika! I am trying to work out what is the difference between planning your program as opposed to using a company like Euka to homeschool, apart from the cost? What are the benefits of going over the curriculum yourself?
Putting together your own curriculum instead of using a program like Euka means that you can tailor it to your child's specific needs and interests. You can select your own topics in science for example, you can go with what your child is interested in but if your were using Euka you have no flexibility in what topic to study you just have to go with what they have set. i am using Euka for High School but I wouldn't use it for primary school as i like to choose my own things to study based on what my children are interested in. I hope that helps to answer your question
Thank you for providing this valuable content!

So good. You've been giving me a peace of mind and the confidence that I can actually do this. Thank you a lot.

I can't see the link to the curriculum website you're referring to at the beginning, unless I'm blind it's not in the description? ❤
