Andrew: absolutely loving your videos. A simple warmth and honesty. Nothing fancy. Just a day in the fells .... sometimes the only chance us Southerners get. Love the way you never give up, whatever the weather. You cant imagine how inspirational that it. Keep it going and thank you👍
That's very kind of you David, I'm glad you're getting some enjoyment from them and hopefully you can get out on the fells soon! I should have a new video up this week.
been up Blencathra twice mate, when I was about 20 and last year, views where unreal the first time, absolutely nothing last time 🥲one of the best mountains in the lakes for me and I also liked that bagging route 👌 good stuff pal
Been on Blencathra more than a few times and only had a decent view twice, always seems to be misty when I am there but never done any of the other Fells you have done as they always seemed uninspiring, so I have always going straight up from The White Horse Inn of Halls Fell. I will do these Fells this year and yours looks a good route, been over Sharp Edge 4 times, so no need to do it again, so I think I will follow your route as you did it but hopefully without the clag. Did you park on the roadside on the way in to Mungrisdale or opposite the village hall? Cheers Alan
Hi Alan, yeah we parked opposite the village hall. We will definitely revisit Blencathra but I wouldn't recommend Mungrisdale Common to anyone really unless they're bagging all the Wainwrights, it's a bit of a detour from the rest of the route for little to no reward!
