RNZAF Hercules celebrates 50 years milestone

The C-130 Hercules of Royal New Zealand Airforce celebrates her 50th birthday this week. Here's a highlight reel of her work delivering troops and cargo all around the world in support of NZDF's operations, missions and exercises.

C-130H Hercs workhorse of the RNZAF. Been on a few in my time, got my wings and been deployed overseas hitching a ride on em too... 50 years old? Shit I actually thought they were older!!! Lol 🤣but props to the professionalism of the ground crew that kept these work horses in the air, and on the job serving new Zealand and the world... Onwards ♦️

Yes, C130J's are on order and due in a couple of years time. Later this year the first Boeing P8A Poseidon should arrive to start phasing out the Orion P3K2's as well.
