I’m so proud of you! I went in one of your old C-130H Hercules, I’m glad to see you with a super Hercules this time! And I went to the RNZAF base at Whenuapai to see that old C-130H off yours. I also went in it! I’m glad to see you flying again! You’re the best defence force I know!
RNZAF, i've always wanted to thank the Ohakea boys for something they did 20 years ago for my mum and dad. Mum is retired ex army and dad is retired ex SAS who monitored transmissions in Afghanistan. They requested a flyover of their farm house and the RNZAF sent a Hercules. 20 years later, i still piss myself laughing at what happened. The boys didn't just do a flyover, they flew so low that mum and dad could see the faces of the pilots in the cockpit smiling at them!! They nearly blew the roof of the house off!! We love our RNZAF, and the skill these guys have is comparable to any air force in the world. Sometimes i wish national security concerns didn't stop us from hearing about the bravery and skill of our pilots. Godspeed, boys!!
Are you guys planning on doing a video highlighting the differences between the old C-130Hs and the new C-130J-30s? I'd love to see a video like that going over the equipment in a bit more detail!

Explain to me why they wouldnt replace them with newer bigger and more technologically advanced versions of a platform they have decades of experience with?
Just a heads-up: It’s probably a good idea not to share too much detail about where planes flew over, especially if it’s near your school. That’s how personal info can get tracked online, which might lead to things like doxxing. Based on the flight track records, NZ7011 flew over several schools in Auckland, it flew over Greenhithe, Albany and Browns Bay. While I can’t know exactly which school, it’s always good to be cautious. If someone really wanted to, they could use different methods like social engineering to figure it out. Stay safe online, have a good one.
You guys can transport your own stuff though with your own C-17s and have tactical fighter squadrons. NZ has to rely on Australia to transport its helicopters and has no fighter aircraft at all.
Nz military budget couldn't afford it, barely keep up with our current roaster. Major kick in the rear end would be needed to actually get modern equipment for nz

What does it take to be a New Zealand air force pilot?
considering there's only 47 aircraft in the whole fleet id say your wasting your time go to auz like the fighter pilots did
Jeez you would need CrazyLegs to fly that thing.
What are you talking about? If you mean you need strong leg muscles to move the rudder, you don't need strong leg muscles to do that.
@@jezzanz Thats not what I mean. It cryptic.
way to go NZ, RNZAF has more modern aircraft like this C-130 and P-8 than our Canadian RCAF.

The RCAF have 17 c-130j’s, 12 c-130H’s, and 5 C-17’s. The RNZAF has 5 C130-H’s and 1 C-130J. Not much of a comparison.
